TBH, I don't think NO is in such a bad spot that someone would outright refuse to play for them. Assuming they swing AD for the 4th pick and one or two of kuzma/ball/ingram, that doesn't seem like a bad frame to work with. It'd be young if nothing else.

Bleach pulls several plot twists that I feel like are just for the sake of plot twists to subvert reader expectations, rather than for actually making the plot better. I think it suffers a bit for that.

Not any more complicated than the amount of shenanigans that go on now tbh, with all the protections and different exceptions and whatnot. Also yes, I should have mentioned I was bringing that theory with no lottery strings, as you suggested. Alternatively, you could also maybe keep the lottery system but impose the penalty in the form of a % hit maybe? But it would have to be a pretty severe hit or else teams will just take their chances and tank anyway. Ultimately, I'm not trying to keep teams from tanking, but I'm trying to make sure it's not always the same teams tanking and trying to keep the number that are tanking as low as possible.

I don't really like the idea of college guys being free agents right out of college because I'm of the belief that almost no one would ever go to the super-bad teams, which would create this vicious cycle in which the rich will by-and-large remain rich and the poor will remain poor.

I also believe that without the draft, teams like New Orleans or Memphis or other small-market teams would stand no chance at building talent because existing free agents would typically also go to the bigger, better teams. Small market teams will never have a chance at someone like Kevin Durant, and no draft means someone like Kevin Durant marks one of the only chances a franchise will have to alter course from bad to not bad.

No draft also means teams lose a lot of capital with which to swing deals for franchise-altering players in a trade, before that player hits free agency. Whoever's on the roster would be literally all a team could offer, and a pile of garbage is still garbage. There's no end to how badly a GM can screw up a good situation, but a GM is only as good as the pieces he has to work with, and no matter how smooth a talker you are, you aren't going to convince someone to give up someone like AD for a pile of mediocre players. And without the draft, that becomes the only option, and it's an impossible one.

The thing about professional sports in general is that there will never be complete parity. There may not always be a best single team, but there will always be tiers in general, and there will always be a bottom tier bringing up the rear just the same. You will not be able to achieve 30 good teams no matter what, there just isn't enough talent to go around for that to happen. So rather than trying to make a system work for an impossible purpose, I think they should focus on making sure that every team has their turn for a shot at glory, so to speak. Not necessarily making sure every team succeeds at that glory, but just give them a chance. If they screw it up (as the pelicans did with AD), then that's tough.

I'm open to criticism on this theory I'm going to suggest, because I haven't thought it out super well, but what if a team had some sort of waiting period after a top x selection before they could pick in that range again? For instance, the pelicans picking #1 this year means they would have to wait some number of seasons before they could pick in the top...3? 5? However many spots above the worst team that the league thinks hitting on the #1 draft pick is worth. This way, teams would be hard-locked from tanking and reaping any sort of super-meaningful benefits, while also not placing the burden of "We expect you picking #1 to literally propel you to a playoff team by himself" on the team that picked that player? They get their cornerstone, and if they still suck, they can still work on building a somewhat lesser core around him to get them out of the basement. And they can build enough of a core to attract free agents. It should prevent things like "The Process" from happening again, which is the worst case scenario that the league wants to avoid above all else.

The common thinking at that time was that the lakers offer would still stand during the offseason and the celtics could get involved and cause a bidding war, so holding onto AD until more suitors could be involved is hardly a poor decision. And now the lakers have even more capital to throw at them.

I believe that with Toppo, it's the exact team I used, and I straight up farmed this SBR for that LR Kid gohan reward, you can do this.

For Items, Whis/Icarus/Android 8/Princess Snake.

Here's the thing with the first 10 SBRs, of which this is one:

The gimmick is that each of the 4 battles listed here is randomly selected from a pool of 3 encounters. It's random every time, but the final battle will always be the hardest. With this team it probably won't matter, but the rule is that the fewer enemies there are at the start, the more HP they have, with the "boss" usually having the most (IE Cell for Cell jrs, Majin Buu over Babidi, etc). That means if you get a final encounter with majinbuu/babidi, it's gonna be a bit tougher, because it will take longer for you to focus a guy down one at a time, and by extension you won't be able to gradually reduce the # of atks you're taking every turn as you would if you got like a 5-enemy, lower-hp battle. Here is a list of tips that I typically do:
1) Use an icarus turn 1 during the first 2 battles, save Whis for the latter 2. Try to have some enemies down before it runs out.

2) Manage your heals well, and try to use snakes instead of 8s when possible (since 8 lasts 2 rounds for the defense buff).

3) Watch the dokkan meter carefully. If you get a really powerful dokkan attack, not only could it drastically reduce the amt of turns it takes to clear a stage, but it's also a free near-full heal. If you start a battle with like under 50% health, and your next turn is gonna be a dokkan attack, you want to use an icarus/whis rather than a 1-turn snake to get you through the turn.

4) Make SSJ3 Vegeta take as many attacks as possible, and utilize his stun well. For example, if you've been focusing a guy down all battle, and he's going to die next turn, you don't want to have vegeta super him and stun him just for the guy to die, when you can stun the undamaged enemy AND kill the dude as planned.

5) Make sure Gogeta's super hits an enemy that is going to attack him if you aren't putting yourself behind schedule in terms of killing a guy you've been focusing down. Don't forget that his EZA gave his SA attack-lowering properties, it's super useful.

I would run a couple of times without even using items just to get used to how crazy high the enemy damage and HP is. Once you get a feel for how many turns it takes you to kill enough guys to make the rest of the stage manageable, then you should go in full steam. You have an average of 2 items per stage, usually one damage reducer and one healing item, but you will want to try and ration 3 of the items for the last stage since it's toughest.

For starters, which 120% type leads do you have, for super and extreme, and what 130%-170% category leads do you have? There's 2 tiers of SBR basically, the ones that are type limited, and the ones that are category limited.

Are you kidding, I would much rather have int ghostenks. I used str gotenks because I had no other usable fusion characters, he did nothing but be there and be stupid.. Also fwiw I might have still lost if SSJ4 Gogeta hadn't gotten a clutch dodge at the end. Ghostenks I think is a big part of a successful team. A large portion of fusion characters I think don't get good defensive buffs, so stunning/evading is even more useful here.

The LR honestly makes a huge difference, even just having one of them for the heal can be a gamechanger as long as you get the rotation right. If you have him on rotation a turn too early that can be the difference.

The items I took were Whis, Icarus, Android 8, and Marron. The strat was to just keep damage down and hold out for a situation where you've only got an enemy or 2 left when the gogeta proc kicks in. I also was able to mow through the first 2 stages fast enough to get dokkan mode on the 1st turn of the 3rd stage, so that helped a lot.

For a long time I thought I couldn't do it without AGL SSJ Gogeta or INT SSJ Gotenks (for the stun) but having recently farmed bulma's battle prep some, I had some whis's to go through and that helped a lot.

So the F2P Base Gogeta looks pretty good for a free unit! 77% boost to atk/def, plus an extra 20% if there's a goku family in your team, ditto for vegeta family. That would be pretty useful on my fusion team right now, lacking AGL SSJ Gogeta

The canes already outlasted 1 superior team and clobbered another team that they were more equal to, but certainly weren't favored against either. there's not really any reason to stick to "well this team is better on paper" anymore. If the blue jackets can beat the lightning, then anything can happen. I'm not "just" picking them out of a sort of "well I HAVE to believe they can win because I want them to!" mindset. I honestly think the canes will win because they're the cool upstart team that has momentum. Not to mention they're getting healthy again, signs point to Ferland and Mrazek being back for this series.

Also Boston has too many good teams, and Boston has Marchand, so honestly if I wasn't from here, I'd still pick the canes out of Boston-hate in addition. So in summary...

So turns out STR Fat buu let's me run a resurrected warriors team for extreme SBR, and hoo boy did he beast after a few tries. Him and PHY Kid Buu were best friends. The extra boosts in general from a RW team over just an extreme team was evident too, that extra damage and HP really meant the difference. Another one down.

I don't deny that both these guys are typical journeymen that should not be as good as they are, but they have been thoroughly average most of the season/playoffs. There were some games especially against the caps where it was simply a high scoring affair on both sides. It hasn't been all goaltending.

I can see why people are underwhelmed by him, it takes 4 turns for his passive to get to max and 6 turns until he transforms into an actually fun unit.

Maybe he'll be better if some harder content comes out but I can't really find a good spot for him at the moment.

He does seem like another one of those units who the battle won't last long enough for you to get much use out of. In theory, his stack defense on his super and his passive would eventually make him tremendous...but like I'm finding out with PHY SSJ Vegeta, it's rare you'll see anything past the 2nd proc.
