It's not a great argument, but this is coming from the people that think the Covid vaccine is too experimental, so it is better to take a hodge podge of experimental or poorly proven drugs such as Ivermectin & Hydroxychloroquine to treat Covid instead. It just comes down to the fact that they are afraid of the vaccine as said before and the religious exemption gives them an easy out, compared to actually having to explain the real reasons why they object to the vaccine.

Nothing. The main objection seems to be that the drug manufactures use fetal cells lines to test the vaccine, but that is SOP for pretty much everything now a days. To be logically consistent you would have to swear off nearly every drug if this was an issue for you. The reality is that they are afraid of the vaccine and just don't want to take it, not that they are opposed to it on religious grounds.

Try to look into apprenticeship programs in your area. Most don't require any experience and will pay for your training. When you get done with them you can be making $25-$30 an hour depending on the trade with potentially more down the road if you stick with it. I would say it is worth a shot

as for the cause of death, the body was almost completely picked apart by scavengers. It would be hard to determine death. The fact that he died close to the entrance indicates he most likely did not die of hunger or thirst.

Yeah, but ultimately high level issues don't mean much when you competetion is so weak. Moving from Twitch to YouTube for streaming is the equivalent of moving from YouTube to Dailymotion for videos. You just aren't going to do it under normal circumstances because the paycut is too extreme. Most high level streamers are locked in contracts with Twitch as well. They are stuck on that crazy train

They either got offered money to be on YouTube, such as Tim the Tatman or they are banned off Twitch such as Doctor Disrespect or Ice Posiden.

YouTube is an inferior streaming platform. The lack of prime subs greatly cuts down on your revenue and it is harder to get recongized on YouTube. I also feel like twitch has a better donation interface and makes donations look more pleasing. The only real advantage of You Tube is that they are less restrictive on content. It is very easy to get banned off Twitch

It would be closer to having a Buzz Aldrin Day on Mars after we've colonized there.

Because Buzz did not discover the Moon or Mars. Columbus discovered a whole new part of the world no one even knew existed. It would be like if Buzz discovered that there were other planets in the solar system and that those planets are readily habitable and gave the directions to them. Even if Buzz did not discover the specific planet that would one day be the home of a famous colony, he still would get massive credit for pointing people in the right direction to begin with, a direction they never would've concieved on thier own

Hitler was largely a net negative. While he was able to pull the country out of a depression, his destruction of civil liberties, the Holocaust and WW2 largely out weigh any positives he did.

Columbus' discovery of the new world introduced new foods, medicines and lands for the Europeans and started a new age: the age of discovery. It greatly increased the net worth of Europe & allowed for a middle class to form of would be adventures and businessmen looking to capitalize on the new wealth opened up. This middle class would eventually grow and push for more rights for everyone and form nations such as America. The discovery that Columbus had was huge

I do wonder how much of that may fall into "lies, damned lies, and statistics".

Like, for one thing, obviously the STEM and law degrees and such are pushing up the average for the wage comparison of "degree vs. no degree".
Also, it's kind of a chicken and egg situation... The people who excel in school tend to go to college. Would they have been noticeably less successful if they hadn't gone to college (for careers where you don't need really need a degree to do the job)?

Has there ever been a true apples to apples study of lifetime earnings, comparing people by similar levels of high school GPA who skipped college vs went to college and got a "liberal arts" degree?
I'm skeptical with such constraints in place, that the difference would be that pronounced...
That is true, but on the flip side you also have people in the trades that are pushing up the average for people that didn't go to college. There are a lot of horrible jobs for non-college grads. For every successful electrician or plummer you have several fry cooks and retail associates. Plus even if you are in the trades, you still are sacrificing your body. Generally, the better the pay, the more dangerous, dirty & detrimental it tends to be.

As for the question, from my observation blue collar jobs tend to pay more to start, but reach thier cap earlier. White collar jobs give you more levels to rise up, so end up paying more in the long run at the expense of dealing with more career bullshit and a really shitty abusive career start. People that enter solo practice for white collar professions tend to make more. I have seen electricians who own thier own business that make $250,000 a year, but I have seen white collar professionals that own thier business make over a million a year, although people that start thier business are hardly the average, so don't make really good comparisons.

How did they lie? He is mostly celebrated for his courage to sail into uncharted waters and discovering new and bountiful lands. It is especially impressive since he came from a relative modest background and made something of himself. No one is bragging up his time as governor that is pretty much a non-sequester to his career as an explorer.

It was always of somewhat tenuous providence.

Honestly, I don't care if you call it Columbus, Lief Erickson, Vespucci or indigenous peoples day. I just want my day off. It seems like ever since this naming controversy started companies stop giving the day off, which sucks. I guess it does not pay to look a gift horse in the mouth
