If you take it to a tailor theyll fix/add pockets for ~$10. I usually do it for nice pants and skirts, since I need to tailor the length anyways

Without looking at it in person, I wouldn't be shocked if it's for the following. To provide false padding to appear to others as if it's a normal functioning pocket, but it's still sewn shut because it's a non-functioning pocket.

I wouldn't put it past whoever made them for having that dumb idea, because it's the only thing I figure. If it was a pocket on the outside, and lacked something under it, you could easily tell it was a false pocket, so this is to make it seem legit, when it's not. Some total 4D chess shit.
