Really good jrpg series

With the current results holding, just Mega Man.

But even though I took Pikachu > Mega Man in my main bracket, I chickened out in my Second Chance.

Kirby beating Sonic reminds me of how hard it is to beat the Noble Nine: it's almost impossible to do it twice to the same character.

Kirby beat Sonic in a four-way from 2008, then Sonic beat him right back one-on-one in 2010.

Auron beat Sonic as he was held back by Sandbag in 2008, then Sonic beat him the next round when Auron was held back by Sephiroth.

Vincent beat Crono in a four-way from 2007, then Crono beat him back in 2008.

Meanwhile, L-Block is the only character to beat the same Noble Nine-member more than once -- it managed to beat Solid Snake three times in a row.

Kirby also beat Sephiroth in 2008, then lost to him in 2013.

First played it in '99 or so, and probably a few times after that.

I remember for that first playthough, I had some video game magazine that included a walkthrough for the game, and I went to it for tips when I got stuck. Unfortunately, it had a few pieces of bad info, including a totally wrong location for the Fire Arrow which led to me getting stumped at one point in Ganon's Castle. I had to look up the real location somewhere else.

I remember once playing SMB3 for an entire day as a kid, not skipping any worlds, trying to get to the end, but I gave up after I lost all my lives in one of the World 8 mini-fortresses and got sent back to level 8-1. When I finally went back and finished it years later (along with all of the other NES games that had frustrated my younger self), I found out that the Bowser's Castle area was right after that point.

In that one successful playthrough, I did end up skipping World 7, though. I was trying not to skip anything, but once I reached that world, I just didn't feel like dealing with it again.

Division 3. I had a final match of Sora > Kefka, and wound up with 13 points.

Division 4 wasn't a whole lot better, mostly due to taking Charizard > Bowser in R2. That one got me only 15 points.

Oh, this is probably where the idea of eastern Washington came from, lol.

Even the eastern part of Washington is farther west than all but 7 states, though. It's certainly nowhere near New York or Philadelphia. (Granted, Dallas is also in that division, which has always been WTF from a geography perspective.)

There were some weirder ones before the last expansion+realignment back in 2002. Arizona was in the NFC East back then, I believe.

Wait I thought it was just the loser picks that were misleading, is it also the winner picks? Whats going on?

I believe it's both winner and loser picks since the total picks for round 2 matches adds up to 7221 (the total brackets submitted for this contest).

Picks for Dante's round 2 match would include those who picked either Dante or Cuphead to reach round 3, while picks for Lightning include both Lightning and Chloe Price reaching round 3.

I don't know if we can tell for sure if it's like that, or if it's that Dante's picks are correct and Lightning's picks include all not-Dante picks.

This is the first match where a wrong pick affects multiple rounds for me.

Second for me because of freaking Riku

I believe Captain Toad was an upset, most brackets had Shovel Knight.

Aya and Aerith were as well.

If it's listed twice, the real result is the one with a higher number of votes, and I just forgot to erase the one with fewer votes.

No, you got the counts wrong.
Johnbobb's Aloy answer should have three votes, and been named the winner. Instead, it's listed as having two votes, and Unbridled's vote for it is counted as a separate submission with one vote. Meanwhile, TsunamiXXVIII's answer only has two votes, and should have been the runner-up.
Meanwhile, the Shovel Knight answer should have seven total votes, but it got broken into two separate entries with four and three votes respectively. In this case, though, none of the other three SK submissions got more than one vote.

man I think that D.Va result is the first one I'm disappointed by

not because mine didn't win but because it literally has nothing to do with the character that lost and barely has anything to do with the character that won

I think your D.Va result should have have won or at least tied?

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/8-gamefaqs-contests/77143138/911410490

Seems it appears twice and got counted as two separate entries.

Same thing happened with Shovel Knight; the same line is both the winner and the runner-up.

I've missed 4 so far, counting today, all of them being the FF Lead bombs. I had them all picked correctly when I was initially filling out my bracket, but switched later on after thinking things over. There are a bunch more changes that I made in upcoming matches that I'm pretty sure will meet a similar fate.
