And there's a difference between potentially exposing yourself with a degree of social distancing for half an hour at the grocery store and reopening movie theaters, dine-in restaurants, and BJJ gyms.

I thought we were talking about outdoors.

Amazing. Its like dealing with a little kid.

I don't have a choice. If I used big words you'd all hate me for it. I've already made my complaints that too many here lack common sense. Fall for the hype or don't. Entirely your choice. Do realize that by now you've probably gone for groceries and didn't keel over yet. It's ok.

It's not trolling when I'm right.

Look, nobody is saying you HAVE to go out. If you have reasons to stay in, then enjoy. Those who are itchy from a long winter shouldn't have that much to worry about provided they use common sense. I'm not saying it's fake. Not saying go to a theater. Lots of room outdoors though.

Are people really that unable to amuse themselves indoors that theyd compare this to being in prison?

F***, dude.

They had all winter to amuse themselves inside. Can you blame them for wanting to get out? It's called cabin fever.

I'd say one of the best experiences was Medusa (before they renamed it). It was a school trip, we got there early. Knowing it would be busy at the newest coaster we got in line for this one first. It was foggy at the time. This coaster had few straight sections, it was full of twists and loops. So each time you hit the top of the loop you couldn't see the ground through the fog. Then you get to the bottom of the loop and the ground would just pop in like the BG in an old game.

The first one? It's been too long but I recall the big environments were supposed to let you play your way. The sequels which gave you a map of tasks (like AC) were better I think. Some direction is good.

BB sucks. I played for like 3 hours and there wasn't a way to get into the sewer for the first boss. After I had already tossed it aside for a new game someone mentioned a secret path to get there but it was too late. If the first boss requires finding 'easter eggs' to progress then it isn't good game design.

Reasonably doubt? How can you do that when it comes to people who are asymptomatic?

That implies they have it. If you take some friends who have been sitting home for a couple weeks and would very unlikely be carrying anything, then what's the harm? It's a flu, not nuclear fallout. The environment is mostly safe and everyone is eager for spring activities.

In other words go hang out with people you trust rather than do something with large groups of random people.

Just some people. Was at the grocery store at 6am for Senior Hour, to shop for myself and an elderly neighbor, pretty much all seniors there, mostly wearing masks. Was checking out (cashier now surrounded by plexiglas shields), and crowded by two women, masks dangling from their hands, shoving to load the checkout counter behind me, can't wait for me to finish, can't maintain social (or even ordinary polite) distance, obviously not seniors, obviously more than 1 person per cart.

To be fair, the media has been lying like cheap rag rugs. A month ago, painter's dust masks were no good, had to have surgical masks, now, dust masks are better. Two weeks ago, sunlight doesn't have enough UV to kill the virus, now, 3 minutes of sunlight kills the virus. Previously, social distancing was working to slow the spread of the virus, now, random testing of blood of people in low risk/low exposure communities, 30% already have coronavirus antibodies. Then, we have the aircraft carrier Roosevelt, 4800 crew working in close proximity, only 600 test positive, most are asymptomatic, and only 8 hospitalized.

Is there any truth to what we are being told, or is it all meaningless babble and panicmongering? Is the coronavirus actually that much worse than ordinary seasonal flu? Does social distancing slow the spread of the virus, or just delay people developing immunity?

That's what made this such a circus. Nobody really knew at the start. Every day something changed. If you're like me and got sick of hearing the same old crap you might miss the part about masks or UV. Then some people KEEP panicking because the media doesn't know what to say or believe. Given everything I'd say we overreacted a little but understand that places rather be safe than sorry. You just didn't know for sure.

It depends on what yo mean outdoor. Lots of parks with a lot of land seem to be open for walking around. And I haven't really seen the lakes or anything close door. Not as many people fishing, but I've seen a few. Which is fine since they are pretty far from everyone else. And you can still play outside in someone's backyard, assuming it's big enough...

Anything really. At work it's gardening or landscaping. Beaches, hiking trails, parks, there's a ton of room. If you can reasonably doubt friends are carriers then what's wrong with some small team sports? You can't get sick if nobody has it. I get that indoor recreation probably isn't ready for large crowds so that'll come in due time.

When they don't feel the need to explain, that's where mod abuse is present and really should be escalated to an admin if we could find one. This place needs a clean sweep.

People are bored. Some want to work for money. Some just want their routine back... People hate being stuck inside for many reasons.

I mean, they're not completely stuck inside everywhere. Most places do allow people to leave for work and essentials. A good amount even allow going outside for walking dogs and exercise. Not the most enjoyable activities. But whatever...

I've been seeing it at work, they want some outdoor things to do. And while it's not the same as jail, with many stores or public places being closed there isn't tons to do. Outdoor activities should be reopened. The inside stuff on a case by case basis.

Well in this case, it's more about people being idiots.

Is it really? Being stuck inside for months is comparable to a short prison sentence. The weather is warming and people want to move on. Besides, if you can somehow ensure the members of a group aren't stick (a family or something) then you can't catch anything from merely being outside.

The media is capitalizing on the hype. Like I've said before it's a time for caution, not full out panic lockdowns. By all means stay home if you want. Don't want to? Whatever.

I ran into a similar problem with DJMax. Got the disc, an import. I don't mind spending a little more for the disc. However any music game lives or dies based on the quality and number of songs. What I didn't know at the time was it has 8 packs and each one goes for $15-$25. That was a big nope from me.

Countries with stricter lockdowns have fewer deaths than countries with more lenient ones. Oh hey that means that choice had life and death consequences! That was hard.

Most aren't, no. That doesn't mean a whole lot of people aren't going to die if restrictions are lifted this soon. Hundreds of thousands of people may not be a majority, but dismissing it because it's a minority doesn't change that it's still hundreds of thousands of people.

And how do you propose making sure that everyone has the information they need to know who to stay away from? This thing can be transmitted asymptomatically for two weeks. You can't avoid that without avoiding everyone. There's also no shortage of young and/or healthy people (as much as I'm sure you'd like to presume they all had undiagnosed underlying conditions, you have no concrete reason to believe that and therefore shouldn't be making that assumption) being killed by it, so nobody can say that they're safe enough to not need to avoid it.

And then there's the point that people who refuse to return to work after their work reopens stand a good chance of being fired for it, so you really can't say that the decision is completely voluntary.

We did lock down. Then people said 'you can't tell me what to do' and did what they wanted. They chose freedom over safety which makes it no fault of Trump's. Try again.

Doesn't have to be hundreds of thousands. That 'what if' can go either way.

I don't think that's true. You will have some symptoms but maybe mistake it for allergies. Really there's no concrete proof for either side, every day they claim something different.

Can't help ya there. Jobs need employees, how long must they wait for you to decide? If someone comes along willing to do the job now then why refuse? There won't be an easy rule for this.

Your faith in him is unnerving. You defending his lies as if that's how things should be handled. You don't lie as a leader and then try to cover it up with more lies. You accept responsibility...

Are you that dense? How or what does he gain? The economy is a worldwide thing that needs to be considered. He's a businessman so some of it will affect him but compared to everything else he's small fries. That Cuomo guy wants to restart things, I guess you'll fault him next?

Ah, and if money wasn't your daily scapegoat you'd be saying he's doing it for votes. Funny how well the goalposts move. First was blame for doing nothing. Now there's something and you're still riding his ass. The hell do you want out of this? Remember you're not alone feeling stressed and wanting this to end. We just gotta wait it out.

This is easy to say WHILE you dont have it and arent dying from it.

Id almost be inclined to agree with you... IF I didnt already know a bunch of HEALTHY people who have succumbed to it. And Im like, Shit, Im healthy too. That could be me. So... for now... Im staying my ass indoors.

Not to say they didn't have underlying conditions that weren't known. Without making light of the situation the fact remains that most people aren't going to get that bad. But if you know a lot of people or work in a city then yeah statistically you'll see more.

The thing people fail to realize is restrictions can be lifted without forcing you to do anything. If a person still has or feels a need to stay away from others there's nothing wrong with that. The title here is grossly misleading.
