Yes. I have enjoyed for as long as I have been tall enough to ride them. Unless it's a wooden coaster. Fuck those things.

I'd say one of the best experiences was Medusa (before they renamed it). It was a school trip, we got there early. Knowing it would be busy at the newest coaster we got in line for this one first. It was foggy at the time. This coaster had few straight sections, it was full of twists and loops. So each time you hit the top of the loop you couldn't see the ground through the fog. Then you get to the bottom of the loop and the ground would just pop in like the BG in an old game.

Not anymore. The last time I went on one (10 or 15 years ago), it did absolutely nothing for me. I did really like the Gemini at Cedar Point back in the '90s when I went there almost yearly, since you could ride it over and over again since there was rarely much of a line for it.

Yes, up until I realized that I drove faster than almost all of them (it's mental, don't try to argue). Even the Millennium Falcon (the tallest coaster the last time I went) was a blah experience (well, except the first time I rode it because it had started sprinkling and getting hit in the face with raindrops while going 90 MPH isn't exactly a pleasant experience), mostly due to how smooth the ride is. My favorite was the Mean Streak, but it was way out in no man's land when I went.

No. I think it was new ride the last time I went, so the lines were really long, and it didn't look anywhere near good enough to stand in line that long (or maybe it just didn't look appealing to any of us). Kinda like how the Demon Drop was the new ride the first time I went -- I did finally ride it on the way out during my last trip since the line was really short, and it ended up being a lot better than I thought it would be (I understand it's no longer there).

I have to be on one that either starts on the ground or has a building you go through to go up to it. Or maybe a hill like The Mamoth has, which is basically a paved path up to it.

Outdoor stairs are a huge nope. Terrified of heights.

It's a minor difference and being able to see the track adds to the excitement. Take "Viper" at 6 flags in LA. The first seat hangs over the first drop, as in the rider can look down the track before they go down it and can see the way the track twists. You can't see that from the back.

Not only that, it depends on the coaster. Sometimes you get more g's at the front or somewhere else.
