I feel like when you're in a strong relationship, then you should be able to bring up issues like this. If it's something that you think is hurting your love for her, then you should bring it up. But also be prepared for the relationship to possibly end if she's not mature enough to grow from it. At which point, I personally think it's no big loss over time but of course, you might feel differently.

This used to be the case for me until I realized how damaging it was to my relationship and how it made me come across as a generally negative person. Now I have an easier time rolling shit off my back.

If you don't find offense in being called "different", then more power to you. You'll just be seen as that outsider who doesn't look like the rest of us, but is trying best to assimilate.

Personally, I would never use an adjective that is mostly used to describe foreign animals, plants, or places on a woman because even I know they might take a little offense even if it's with good intentions. If you look online, you'll see that calling a woman exotic is one of the biggest no-no's you could possibly do.

On the contrary, I take pride in looking different. And I was born in the west and consider myself a westerner. I could give two shits how others think of me.

I don't bother with reading stuff like that online. Everyone is looking for some reason to be offended nowadays. I've never met a woman IRL that has been offended at being called exotic.

Feminism is about choice and empowering women to be what they want to be. WonderWoman chooses to be a badass superhero while also dressing as a Playboy girl. Nothing about feminism says she can't.

This is true for me as well. I'm not even insecure so I don't really care who she's friends with. You won't ever hear me complain about it, question her, etc.

Yet every single time, I always end up finding out that she fucked an ex. It's one thing if she just has male friends in general, but it's different when there's history there. Much more likely for something to happen it would seem.

Yup, many people who cheat do so with their exes. I don't really see it as a trust or insecurity issue. I just acknowledge that human beings are fallible by nature. I believe most people will cheat under the right circumstances. So why up the odds?
