You and Raven gather up books you have and sit in Raven's room as you read.

"So what're we looking for?" Raven asks.

"Because the missing metahuman's main power is his Midas Touch," you say, "we're looking for a way to undo that with Alchemy but restore the golden item into what it was before."

"Other than just our own Alchemy?" she asks back.

"This is in case he touches something more than just inanimate objects and inorganic material," you say. "He got close enough to Robin, Starfire and Beast Boy to tag their clothing and communicators. I think they got lucky that he didn't turn their skin into gold."

"Oh, good point," she says. "Restoration Magic won't do it, either, since gold is inorganic."

You and Raven flip through various texts on Alchemy, but there's not anything promising. You already know that Alchemy is a simple "element A to element B" transformation, and obviously you could turn B back into A if you knew both elements, but nothing about actually going backwards and undoing it.

"Wait..." you mutter. "Going backwards?"

"Hmm?" Raven responds.

"What if the key to it is going backwards?" you say. "Rewinding time on the object so that what Aurum does to it is undone without Alchemy."

"That could work," Raven says. "Because then it isn't really undone, it's more like it never happened. Oh, but manipulating time with magic is really high level stuff."

"Well, you have time magic," you say.

"I have time pausing magic," Raven corrects you. "And even then, that's really tricky to pull off. That time in the duel, that was because of the pressure in the fight."

"You felt more pressure fighting one of my suitors than in that battle the other day?"

"Don't make that big of a deal out of it..." Raven pouts.

"Well, anyway," you say, "we need something to make rewinding time much easier."

"Hmm..." you and Raven both say as you think.

"What if you used technology combined with magic?" Raven asks. "Just like what your grandfather did?"

"Oh, of course," you say. "That's brilliant. We could make it a hand-held device."

"Chocolate, please," you say.

"Will do," Languish says.

Languish heads back to the kitchen, you make it through the rest of the Hell-epeno Poppers and refill your glass about two more times to do it.

Languish returns and the other waitresses gather around her, muttering and talking amongst each other. They all walk over and Languish carefully sets the cake down between you and Raven.

"Happy engagement to you," the waitresses sing, "happy engagement to you. Happy engagement, Raven and-"

A few of them trail off and someone asks, "W-What's his name?"

"Rorek," Languish quickly whispers, "his name's Rorek."

"And Roreeek~," the singing continues. "Happy engagement to you~!"

They applaud and Languish cuts the cake for you.

"Thank you," Raven says.

"So you guys have been planning or what?" Languish asks.

"Yeah," Raven says. "We're having the wedding at Titans Tower, and the reception, too."

"Wow. What about the bachelorette party?"

"We haven't really decided on those yet," Raven says. "But we're not having the wedding until February so I'll decide closer to New Year's or something."

"We should advertise a deal for stuff like this," Languish says. "I bet we could get great money from people using us for wedding receptions."

The cake is served, Languish goes back to serving the other tables, and you dig in. It is definitely very rich chocolate, so it wouldn't surprise you if this was Devil's Food Cake.

You and Raven eat up your hardy slices of cake, the rest is boxed up for you, and you take care of the bill with an even $40. Raven holds onto the cake as you two exit and ride back to the tower.

With not much else to do that day, you and Raven...

You'll go with Coke. Coke itself has a lot of different kinds, like Vanilla Coke, Cherry Coke and now Coke Zero, that's a great deal. You look into who to call in the next day or so.

Your meals arrive, and Raven's "Ghoulish Goulash" is goulash--macaroni noodles, ground beef and an assortment of vegetables--but it seems the ghoulish part is throwing in bits of bacon and pineapple, like they threw in a Hawaiian style pizza. Your Hell-epeno Poppers are hellish because of the different peppers used. Instead of green jalepeno, these are red peppers of some kind. You take a bite and feel the heat right away.

"Ooh, wow," you say. "These are strong. Are these... Komodo Dragon peppers?"

"Naga Vipers, actually," Languish says. "Very close in heat, but Naga Vipers are bigger so we can get more out of them."

"Brilliant," you say.

"You know spicy peppers by name?" Raven asks.

"A lot of the record setting peppers come from the UK," you say before sipping soda.

"Of course they do," Raven says with a smirk.

You chuckle and keep eating, and these peppers really pack a punch.

"I might need a refill," you say.

"I'll see about bringing a pitcher for you in a minute," Languish says.

"Thank you," you say before Languish heads off to other tables.

You and Raven have your meal, and you get through three of the seven Hell-epeno Poppers before you start sweating a bit.

"Wow, are you alright?" Raven asks.

"Yeah, yeah," you say. "Been awhile since I've had something this spicy."

You end up finishing off what you have in your glass, and you just have to wait a few more minutes with burning tongue before Languish returns.

"You alright?" Languish asks you now.

"Yes, thank you," you say.

You refill your glass and chug it down. The burning goes away, and you sigh in relief.

"These are powerful," you say.

"Yeah, there should probably be a disclaimer," Languish says. "But no one's had too bad a reaction, so there probably won't be one yet."

You continue eating the rest of the poppers, and you definitely need the pitcher to refill your glass as you keep going.

"Oh, hey," Languish asks. "What kind of cake do you want?"

"I'll have an order of the Hell-epeno Poppers," you say.

"And I'll have the Ghoulish Goulash," Raven says. "Easy on the onions, please. Oh, and small drinks. Just a couple colas."

"Got it," Languish says as she takes the menus. "I'll be back with the drinks."

Languish heads to the kitchen and the other waitresses go back to their work. You're pretty sure you hear "Tommy Cemetery" sniffle from the front desk, but you just ignore it.

Languish serves the colas first, and in nice crystal glasses at that.

"Ooo~, fancy," Raven says.

"Well, it is a special occasion," Languish says.

You take a sip and can tell this is Pepsi. Makes you think about drink vendors for the Magical Melting Pot. You quickly go to your phone to see what products belong to the families of Pepsi and Coca Cola.

Coca Cola, aka Coke, has Sprite, Fanta, Minute Maid, Powerade, Smart Water, Vitamin Water, Dasani, Canada Dry, A&W Root Beer, and Gold Peak sweet tea.

Pepsi has Mountain Dew, Gatorade, Mist Twist, Pure Leaf and Lipton tea, Tropicana, and Aquafina. Of course, you remember that Mountain Dew comes with Code Red.

"How about we have lunch in the city, too?" you ask her. "Another something special to celebrate with."

"Like what?" she asks.

"Um, well," you say as you think. "Well, either the Shadowy Scorpion or Splendidamente Delizioso. It has been a long time since we went to your favorite little place, but also haven't had good Italian outside of pizza in a long time."

"Hmm... Yeah, Shadowy Scorpion would be nice. We could even tell everyone there about the engagement!"

"Ooh, Tommy Cemetery might cry hearing that news," you say with a chuckle.

"True," Raven says. "All the more reason to, then."

"Aww," you say with a bit of a laugh while Raven snickers to herself.

"I'm just kidding," Raven says. "Mostly."

"Well, maybe we can get Tommy something to soften the blow," you say. "Treat him to a shake or sundae."

"Yeah," she chuckles.

You two make your way back to Shadowfax, still sipping the milkshakes. You ride on and arrive at the gothic cafe soon enough. You find a spot up front and walk inside, and Tommy tries not to look but he does glance over at Raven.

"Hey, Raven," Languish says. "Long time, no see."

"Yeah," Raven says. "Rorek and I went on this really big trip to Europe and back, and then a huge road trip from coast to coast."

"Wow," Languish says.

"Yeah, and even bigger," Raven says. "We're engaged~!"

Raven shows off the hand with the ring on it and Languish actually shows some emotion on her face.

"No way!" she says. "Like, seriously?"

"Yeah, seriously," Raven says.

The other waitresses hear all this and walk over. They're all very excited to see the ring, and then they help you two to a table right in the center of the room.

"Wow, uh, we don't really have a special for something like this," Languish says. "Um, we can have like the birthday cake, just without 'birthday' on it."

"Yeah, sure," Raven says.

"And maybe, um, we could change the birthday song?" one of the other waitresses suggests. "We can just change 'birthday' to 'engagement.'"

"Um, okay, yeah," Languish says, somewhat excited. "But only once the cake's ready. Would you guys like anything else?"

You pick up the menu on the table. Scorpion's Feast sliders were good, but maybe...

"We could have milkshakes. It is nice and sunny out, so we can use them to stay cool."

"That does sound nice," she says. "Let's do that."

You ride out and find a McDonald's close to the Sutro Baths. You go inside and go right to the front counter.

"Yes, I'd like two medium chocolate milkshakes," you say.

You only wait a little while for the order to be filled, and Raven holds onto the drinks as the two of you exit. You ride on a little further and arrive at the abandoned bathhouse. You park Shadowfax in front of the crumbling building, then you and Raven walk out on a narrow path to be by the ocean. You two sit down and watch the waves ebb and flow while sipping your milkshakes.

"This is nice," you say.

"Yeah," Raven says.

Raven moves closer to you and leans against you. She loops her right arm with your left, and the two of you sit arm in arm as you continue to simply relax.

You have a simple breakfast, just some toast and coffee. You eat that quickly and get going for 176 Ledyard Street.

You arrive and Ms. Snelpucker is there waiting.

"Good morning," you say.

"Good morning," she says. "Let's get started."

"Lead the way," you say.

She opens the front door, and you're right in a hallway with a window to the left and stairs up ahead at a slight angle.

"This window is to the garage," Ms. Snelpucker says. "The door is right here."

You make the turn and see the door to the garage is right before the stairs. She opens that up and you see the inside, but it's a fairly standard one car garage. You might be able to fit Shadowfax and a sedanin here, but you'll have to wait and see what you can get from the dealerships.

You move to upstairs, enter another hallway, and see three doors, two on one side and one on the other.

"The door on the right is the bathroom, and these two on the left are the bedrooms," Ms. Snelpucker explains. "The one at the end of the hall is the master bedroom, which I imagine will be your bedroom."

You open the doors to see the nice size in the master and a decent size for the second bedroom. The bathroom is a bit narrow, but it has the standard bathtub-shower combo.

After this hallway is the main living area, with the dining room off to the side by the windows on the front of the house.

"Very nice space," you say. "Kitchen's a little small but I shouldn't need much storage space for just the two of us."

"True," Raven says. "Just one set of pots and pans, but we'll need multiples of cups, bowls, plates and things like that."

"Right," you say.

"There's a side door here to the backyard," Ms. Snelpucker says as she leads you to the other side of the living room. "There's also a storage closet here on your way out, and the water heater."

"Alright," you say as you pass them.

You go to the door and there's a short staircase here leading down to the ground level. The yard is roughly the size of the living room, and has grass and plants lining the outside of the red slab floor.

"So not room for a pool," you say. "But maybe we can put in something like a hot tub. We can fill it up without turning it on so we can just sit out here and cool off, and then we can turn it on in the winter to stay warm."

"Sounds nice," Raven says.

You check your phone, and you finally have a message back from your father.

The money has been allocated and converted, you're good to go. Also, let us know when you're moved in so we can send a housewarming gift.

"Okay," you say excitedly. "The money has been approved."

Raven and Ms. Snelpucker are also both excited, and the three of you return inside. You sign the papers on the kitchen counter, and you use your phone to transfer the money to Ms. Snelpucker.

"And there it is," Ms. Snelpucker says, still in awe. "A million dollars...! Thank you so much, Rorek."

You two shake hands, she hands the keys over, and you look around the living space again. You and Raven both smile as you look at each other, and she even hugs you before the two of you leave.

"We should get something to celebrate," you say.

"But we just had breakfast," Raven says.

"Well, we don't need food. We can have drinks."

"We can go to the Sutro Baths. Just sit there, watch the scenery from one of your favorite spots, and relax."

"That does sound nice," she says. "Let's do that."

"Okay," you say. "I'll take the bowls to the kitchen. See you in the morning."

You and Raven get up and exit the room. She goes to the bathroom while you return to the living room. The boys are still playing video games, so you quietly put the bowls in the sink.

"You two still up?" Cyborg says.

"Yes," you say. "But not for much longer. Also, Raven and I will be getting up early tomorrow. We'll be touring the house we just closed on, and then just spending the day out and about."

"Cool," Beast Boy says. "We should definitely have like a housewarming party there once you've gotten moved in."

"Yes, that's a great idea," you say. "I'll definitely see about furniture and movers later this week, and then we can plan the party. Alright, good night again, gentlemen."

You leave the living room again, and then take your turn in the bathroom before going back to your bedroom and turning in for the night.

In the morning, you and Raven take your turns in the bathroom freshening up. Raven goes with jeans this time, and the two of you decide to have breakfast...

"Um, Raven," you say. "There was something I found rather... worrying... about the metas we faced today."

"Hmm? Other than how that Aurum guy gave Robin, Star and Beast Boy the slip?"

"No, that's more surprising than worrying," you say. "I was talking about something else. At one point, I saw each of them bring out a second pair of eyes."

Raven looks at you while putting her spoon down in her bowl.

"You mean they...?"

"They all had four eyes, Raven. Those other eyes came from their eyebrows, just as you told me you have."

Raven looks down and an expression of dread creeps onto her face.

"That can't... Is that even possible? Are they somehow related to me? Did Trigon do what he did to my mother to even more women?!"

Raven looks up at you, and you see the beginning of tears in her eyes. You put your bowl down on the end table and then set hers down beside it. You wrap her in your arms, her legs resting across your lap.

"If that's true," you say softly, "it'll be alright. We caught five of them. Now we can focus on the sixth. We'll catch him, I'm sure of it."

You kiss Raven on the forehead, then go back to your ice cream. Raven eats hers up quickly, perhaps eating her emotions now.

"What do you say, after our tour of the house," you say, "we..."

You'll settle for making dessert at the tower, even if it's just bowls of ice cream.

The bill comes in and you easily handle the $31.27 by making it an even $36, which makes the extra $4.73 just over 16% in tip.

"Thank you for the meal," Ms. Snelpucker says.

"And we'll see you in the morning," you say.

You and Raven take your leave and drive back to Titans Tower. You then return to the living room and find Beast Boy and Cyborg playing video games on the big screen.

"Hello, boys," you say. "Who's winning?"

"I will be in a second!" Beast Boy says as he drives through a power-up.

"Yeah, right!" Cyborg says.

You and Raven go to the kitchen area and you get bowls out.

"How about some dessert, hm?" you ask Raven.

"Sure," she says. "How about all chocolate?"

"All chocolate, coming right up," you say.

You bring out the chocolate ice cream and the scoop. You serve Raven three big scoops, then serve yourself three big scoops.

"Hmm, we might want to get more," you say as you see what little's left. "Anyway, last time we had dessert alone, it was in your room. How about my room this time?"

"Sure," she says again as she shrugs.

"Night, fellas," you say as you two head for the door.

The two of you walk out and go down the hall to your room. You two sit down on the bed and eat up.

"Perhaps early in the morning? We wouldn't want to be in the way of your work schedule."

"Early tomorrow sounds great," Ms. Snelpucker says. "Is 7 AM too early?"

"No, that should be fine," you say. "We'll come by, look around, and hopefully I'll have an update on the money."

"Okay, then," she says. "We'll meet there around 7."

The waiter returns with your order of dinner for three and you thank him as he sets it down. Barbecue pork chow mein, chicken fried rice, sweet & sour pork, broccoli chicken and six egg rolls, plenty for all of you.

You and Raven use chopsticks to bring chow mein and pieces of pork and chicken to your plate, and of course use a spoon on the rice, but Ms. Snelpucker uses a for and spoon. Odd, since this was her choice of restaurant, but to each their own.

You dig in, starting with the sweet & sour pork. Very good sauce, and the pork is fairly tender. The pieces are a nice size, too.

The barbecue pork chow mein is an interesting choice, as chicken is the go-to ingredient. But the noodles seem just as savory and greasy as usual, as are the vegetables mixed in. The pork that's in the noodles is good. It's about the same quality as the sweet & sour pork in tenderness, but it seems a little dry without sauce.

In the broccoli chicken, the broccoli is soft, the chicken tender, and both salty from the seasoning. Could be a bit hotter, though. Maybe the broccoli chicken was made before the other dishes and hasn't been moving as fast. Then with the chicken fried rice, with peas, carrots and scrambled eggs mixed in, it's good, but starting to dry out. Similar problem with the broccoli chicken perhaps.

That's actually a good thing to think about for your own restaurant's food. If you have ready-made dishes, there's the problem of freshness not lasting. You can't just use magic to keep freshness going, but you'll have to research what dishes keep the best.

You almost forget about the egg rolls. The ladies have already taken their two each so you get the last two. The egg rolls look to be where Jump City Chinese Cuisine excels, with a flaky and crisp outside that isn't greasy, and properly cooked ingredients inside, from the carrots to the green onions, and even more pork. This dinner for three is practically a pork dinner platter.

After finishing up the meal, you double check the menu and see there is no dessert section. Seems a shame, but that's their choice.

"Are there any interior details of the house we should know about?" you ask. "Anything about the rooms we should be careful about? Or maybe a fixture your great-aunt would want us to keep?"

"Oh, that's true," Ms. Snelpucker says. "You didn't even really see the inside. I should take you on a tour."

"Yeah, I'm a little surprised we didn't at first," Raven says. "I'd certainly like a tour."

"Yes, a tour would be nice. We can come by sometime tomorrow and have a look inside."

"How about the dinner for three?" you say. "I think that should be enough for everyone."

"Yes, that sounds fine," Ms. Snelpucker says.

A waiter comes by and serves complimentary water. You give him the order, with cola all around for the drinks. And while you wait, Ms. Snelpucker brings out the paperwork for the house sale.

"Oh, well, alright," you say, "I suppose we can get business out of the way."

You skim through it but it seems pretty straight forward. You just aren't sure about the state of funds...

You check your phone, and you still haven't gotten a response. Even at eight hours ahead, the UK is only at 2 AM so you understand no one being awake.

"Well..." you say, trying to figure out how to delay. "How long did your great-aunt have that home?"

"Oh, uh, since like the 70s."

"Oh, wow," you say. "It's definitely in great shape just from looking at the outside."

"Yes, I made sure all the interior was in working condition and cleaned," Ms. Snelpucker says. "Freshly cleaned carpeting, the water heater works, and there's no faulty wiring."

"Very good," you say.

Well, that delay tactic didn't last long.

"I do have to be honest," you say. "I'm still waiting on approval of the funds. You know how it is with the time zone differences."

"Oh, of course," she says. "It's a million dollars, after all. What's the exchange rate of that?"

"About 750 thousand Pound sterling, I believe," you say.

"Well there's no rush," Raven says. "We can just enjoy dinner first."

"Right," you say. "A toast."

You pick up your glass of water.

"To the sale of the lovely Ledyard home," you say.

"Cheers," Ms. Snelpucker says.

You three clink glasses and take sips of water. The waiter returns and sodas are served in glasses. No straws, but that's not a big deal. You sip that and think of what to talk about now.

You wait for Ms. Snelpucker. No sense in rushing through this when you still haven't gotten a response back on the money.

You only have to wait another ten minutes before Ms. Snelpucker appears. You wave her over and she sits across from you and Raven.

"Welcome," you say.

"Thank you," she says. "Have you ordered yet?"

"No, we were waiting for you. Do you have any recommendations?"

"Well, they have more of a focus on preset plates," she says. "They have that 'no substitutions' rule, too."

"I see," you say as you check the menu.

To be fair, you probably won't be going for a dinner for four. And doing the math, they actually charge you 50 cents more for the dinner for two than if you got just two separate dinners for one. Meanwhile, ordering dinner for three actually saves you 50 cents.

You're worried about how those eyes relate to Raven and her father, but you don't want to bring it up in front of everyone. The others might all suggest things before anyone really knows anything and that would muddy the waters. You'll just talk to Raven about it later on.

"We should get going," you say to Raven. "Our meeting with Ms. Snelpucker will be soon."

"Right," Raven says.

You two finish eating and then go freshen up. You also go to your phone, but then realize that if it's past 4 PM in California, it's past midnight in the UK. You probably won't be able to call your father on the phone, so you go with a text message instead.

My offer on a home out here was accepted, I will need 1 million USD asap.

You finish dressing but you don't get a response back. Hopefully you get one before dinner.

You regroup with Raven in the hallway and she's wearing a T-shirt dress.

"Are you sure you'll be alright in that on Shadowfax?" you say. "You'll have to side saddle."

"That's fine," she says. "This is supposed to be like somewhere between casual and formal, because of the occasion."

You and Raven go back to the garage and Shadowfax. You drive into town and have to deal with some heavier traffic. You find your way to 3rd Street and you manage to find parking in front of Jump City Chinese Cuisine. And still no response from your father about the million...

You enter inside, and you don't see Ms. Snelpucker anywhere. For now, you get a table for three.

"We've got the names to put to the faces," you say as everyone sits down at the couch.

"Lilian Benfatto, who bites a lot and is heavier than she looks," you say as Cyborg throws up the mug shots up on the big screen. "Nora Vervaat, who can copy powers with a touch. Yanna Baczkowski, with her floppy body and fatigue inducing yawns. Alotta Lovers, who has physical strength but also something is going on with her appearance."

"She's just static and blurs in photography and videos," Cyborg says, "but she looked like a cross between Jinx and Bumblebee."

"What?" everyone else, including yourself, say.

"She looked more like Raven," you say.

"No, she looked more like Jinx," Raven says.

"She looked more like Terra," Beast Boy says.

"She looked more like my sister," Starfire says as Robin says, "She looked more like Starfire's sis- I mean, Starfire."

"Wait," you say. "We all saw different people looking at the same person. That sounds like some kind of high level Illusion magic."

"But they were all grumbling about not liking magic," Raven says. "Is it possible a meta could have such a power?"

"That seems very complex compared to the rest of these powers," Robin says as he reviews some notes. "And then there's big Boot Ungar, with his own physical strength and burning skin."

"And the man in white with the gold power," you say. "I believe his name is 'Aurum.' Alotta shouted it when she told him to run away."

"He's got the stone ore, too," Cyborg says. "They don't like magic but they steal rocks that have magical attributes?"

"There's also how they all come from different parts of North America," Raven says. "Yanna's Canadian and the others are from the US, but from very different cities and states."

"Them working together like this for magical stones is quite the puzzle," you say.

You do think of how each of the metas had a moment where they brought out an extra pair of eyes...

You get it to go so you can bring it back to Titans Tower. It doesn't take too long, thankfully, and you're back on your way by 3:15. You make it back to the tower by 3:30 and Cyborg's already there waiting.

"Have you guys heard anything from the others?" he asks the two of you.

"No," Raven says, sounding worried. "That is a bit odd. They would've called, even if they didn't find the man with the Midas touch."

"Let's each call someone," you say. "I'll call Beast Boy."

"I'll call Star," Raven says.

You set the pizzas down on the counter and everyone brings out their communicators. You look for Beast Boy on the little menu and call. But like Cyborg and Raven, no signal goes through.

"Something happened to their communicators?" Raven says.

"There's not a jammer strong enough to block these," Cyborg says, "so they have to be damaged."

"Then how do we get into contact with them?" you ask.

"Don't worry about that," Robin says from the door. "We're back."

"Well that's good," you say as you look over. "Oh!"

The three of them are quite the mess. Robin's cape is gone, as is a glove and a sleeve. Beast Boy and Starfire are both missing their shoes, and then you realize Robin's cape is being used to cover Starfire's upper body.

"The gold guy made some of our clothes gold," Beast Boy explains in a flat tone.

"And he did not show remorse over it, either," Starfire says with a frown and a blush.

"But he did find our communicators, too," Robin says as he shows his. "They turned to gold, so nothing in it works properly."

"Can you guys do some kind of Alchemy trick on 'em to get them back to normal?" Cyborg asks you and Raven.

"It's not quite that precise," you say. "All the different materials in the communicator were turned into gold, and the goal would be to turn all the different pieces back into what they were. We'd have to take the communicators apart and go piece by piece, and I'd imagine it'd be faster to make a new communicator."

"Plus," Raven says, "if we could use Alchemy to undo the gold on the communicators, we could've just done that for Cyborg's leg."

"For now," you say, "how about we eat our late lunch? Raven and I have a dinner appointment at 6 to finalize my buying of a house."

The other Titans offer their congratulations, and everyone grabs plates and slices.

"How about we get everyone lunch?" you ask.

"Even though we're still searching for the last one?" Raven asks back.

"Well, I think we would've gotten a call from the others about that," you say. "Now, I say we go with pizza. Veggie or cheese for Beast Boy, then whatever else for the rest of us."

"Guess that makes sense," she says. "About being called by the others, not about the pizzas. Actually, that makes sense, too."

"Let's try for Pizza Corner," you say. "Hopefully they're not too busy when we get there."

You drive back into town at 3 PM so it'll be a very late lunch. But at least there aren't that many customers here, you're able to go right to the counter. You order a large cheese, a large olive-and-mushroom, and a large Meat Lover's for everyone but Beast Boy.

"Might as well see this all the way through."

You follow the prison trucks onto the premises. You and Cyborg park by the gate as a line of defense. You hop off of Shadowfax, Cyborg exits the T-Car, and Raven joins you and the officers in securing the trucks.

"They have male and female wings here, yeah?" you say.

"Yes, we do," one of the officers says. "Though, should we worry about the big guy here being in with the general population?"

"Probably," Raven says. "He's big, angry and kinda dumb."

"We got a lot of those in here," another officer says. "We'll definitely keep this guy in a special room."

The truck doors open, everyone's on alert as the five exit. You, Raven and Cyborg walk with them to the door to enter the building to a booking station. Like on television and in the movies, the five are finger printed and photographed.

"Hold on," another of the officers says. "Something's up with this one."

The Raven lookalike just went through the photo process, and the officer shows you the screen.

"That's the same weird static we saw on that Vegas security camera," Raven says.

"You're right," you say. "So then, she was the one with Lil the cheeseburger shirt girl at the station. What's causing that?"

"Hmm," Cyborg says as he stares at her. "I was wondering what that was. I've been seeing a light, it gives a bit of a lens flare to my cybernetic eye."

"I can't sense anything out of the ordinary with her," Raven says.

"I guess that makes me special," the lookalike says with a coy tone.

"Got ID's back on them," the other officer says. "The big guy here is Boot Unger, 17, from Steel City. The one with the weird picture is Alotta Lovers..."

"Sounds like an Austin Powers character to poke fun at James Bond girls," you say.

"She's 16, from South Beach," the officer continues. "Next, the floppy one. Yanna Bac... Backs... B-A-C-Z-K-O-W-S-K-I. 15, from Maple City, Canada. In the green tee, Nora Vervaat, 14, from Jersey City. And lastly, the little one, Lilian Benfatto, 13, from Windy City."

"Be careful Nora doesn't have physical contact with other metas," you say. "She was copying powers by just touching someone."

"And Lilian bites," Raven says. "Somehow, she erases her victims from other people's memories. A real nasty power."

"Got it," the officer says. "Thanks for seeing them out here."

"No problem," Cyborg says.

You three exit, going back to your vehicles. Raven rides with you as you hurry back into town.

"6 PM. I just want to make sure everyone has enough time."

"Six works for me," she says. "See you then."

"See you there," you say.

You hang up and put your phone away.

"Alright, we have a dinner date for six o'clock," you say to Raven. "Chinese food on 3rd Street."

"Oh, nice," Raven says. "Nothing too fancy, right?"

"I don't think Jump City Chinese Cuisine is that fancy," you say. "We can go with our best casual outfits."

The ride continues, and you've been on the road for an hour now. It's already past lunchtime, you'll have to get something on the way back. After another 15 minutes, and you finally see the prison.

"Finally," you say. "An hour and 15, and it's 1:30."
