"I'm with Raven," you say. "She and Starfire fly, Beast Boy can fly or swim, and Shadowfax's motorcycle mode will be able to go on the water, too. Robin and Cyborg can fall back and meet us as we redirect them back towards land."

"Might as well try," Robin says. "Let's get going before they're too far out to sea. Titans, go!"

Shadowfax turns back to a motorcycle and you lead the way as you drive to the water. The hover drive kicks in, you ride the waves while Beast Boy becomes a green dolphin to swim nearby. The ladies fly overhead as you all go as fast as possible.

"The boat's still in view, thankfully," Raven says.

"Uidre," you say to the spirit. "Can you do anything to literally turn the tides on our fleeing foes?"

"I'm sorry, Rorek the Seventh," she says. "I can't quite do that much."

"What about a whirlpool?" you ask. "Or make the water choppier?"

"The choppy waters, I can do," she says.

Uidre dives into the water and the waves get rougher up ahead. The coast guard boat starts rocking and bobbing, and that slows it down. You and the Titans catch up steadily and the metas take notice.

"I gotta do everything around here!" the man in white barks.

He sticks his hand in the water and it makes golden streaks in the waves! He brings all that gold out of the water and launches them at you like needles and spears! You shield yourself and Shadowfax while the ladies fly higher and Beast Boy dives down. Then green WHALE Beast Boy hits the boat from the bottom! The boat gets up in the air, hits the water, and rocks and spins as it steadies itself!

"I don't feel so good!" Lil the cheeseburger shirt girl says.

"I'd say you shouldn't eat so much, but like that'd do anything," Yanna the Muppet says.

"Get the boat moving!" Boot shouts.

You focus on the ice to bring about a hail storm in front of the docks! Boot and Raven's lookalike are pelted but he's still going forward! She, meanwhile, covers up as best she can but there's no shelter in the open field. She spots a tree and heads for it.

Raven flies at the tree and tackles her lookalike out from under the tree! Starfire flies up behind Boot and uses his own momentum in the tackle. They skid in the dirt but he back hands her away. She recovers in the air, throws star bolts at him then flies in full speed. He withstands the bolts but her flying double punch gets him right in the gut and knocks him down. But even so, he gets back up, the fire growing bigger!

The natural climate and weather of the Bay Area is working against your hail storm, so you and Uidre pump more into it. As for Vindar, you use his lightning to put into magical charges. You have Shadowfax head after Boot, and you toss the magical charges, two at a time!

"RAITON!" you shout.

*ZAAAP ZAAAP! ZAAP ZAAP!* They explode with the electricity and Boot is hit! But he's a bloody tank, he's only sizzling after all that!

"This is getting rather tiresome," you grumble as you have Shadowfax swing back around.

Suddenly, gold shrapnel flies in! You shield yourself with energy while Starfire flies out of range.

"Stop wasting time," the man in white shouts. "Yanna finally got keys for a boat."

"Finally!" Boot says.

Boot gets running again but Starfire tackles him again. He turns up the heat but the flames don't hurt her, and she can't pull him back. She's slowing him down, but then he stops and backwards headbutts her! She lets go and then he takes off running!

You look to where Raven and her lookalike were fighting, and you see the lookalike's ditched the skirt! She's running in just a bikini top and G-string! You stop yourself from staring to look for the real Raven, and see her throwing the skirt down in frustration.

As for Ms. Third/Fifth, she's disappeared again. Beast Boy does his best to look around as an Eagle but unfortunately your hail might be getting in the way of that.

You have the hail stop since it isn't doing enough to Boot. Robin and Cyborg try to keep the man in white from getting closer to the docks but his collection of gold items keeps growing. He must keep picking pieces off the SUV to have more and more in his arsenal!

Boot and the Raven lookalike have joined Lil and the man in white and then from the lookalike's hair, Ms. Third/Fifth reappears! She must've become an insect that then hitched a ride on the lookalike's head!

"The hell were you doing in my hair?!" the lookalike shouts at her.

"Just get on the boat!" the man in white yells at the lookalike. "For that matter..."

While the others get on one boat, the man in white touches another! It takes awhile to convert it all, but the boat becomes gold! And much like the SUV, he lifts it up with his gold telekinesis! And he throws it at Robin and Cyborg! Raven flies in to block with magic barrier!

The boat breaks against the barrier and *KA-BOOOOOM!* The boat explodes!

"Oh no!" you, Starfire and Beast Boy all shout.

You three hurry over as the smoke clears, but Raven's barrier withstood the blast. But as you see the smoke clear, you see the other boat is taking off! And as you step closer to the dock, you see they've been made into gold, too! They lurch up from the gold telekinesis! The individual planks fly at you and both you and Raven put up more barriers.

"We can still stop them, can't we?" Raven says.

"I don't know about that," Cyborg says.

You take a closer look at him and see his right leg is gold!

"He tagged my leg, and I won't be able to drive the T-Car!" he adds.

"But they're isolated on a boat," Raven says. "It should be easier to catch them on the water."

You bring out another paper and put another diagram down, and *CRAKAA* lightning strikes as Vindar appears.

"Young Rorek Seventh of Null," he says.

"Hello, Vindar," you say quickly. "Be my supply of lightning. I'm going to do my best to conjure multiple hybrid elemental magic."

"Then the situation must be dire," he says.

You change Shadowfax back to a horse so that he can run without you steering. You gather wind element in both hands and then hold them out. In your right hand, Uidre supplies water for ice element, and in your left, Vindar supplies electricity for typhoon element. You're basically bringing about Storm Element as you then aim for the sky!

Wind blows and ice hails down, but it isn't really enough to slow Boot down or cool him off. It does affect the lookalike and Ms. Third/Fifth, and Beast Boy transforms back into a wolf to catch up to them while withstanding the cold weather. He then changes into a yeti to wrestle horse Ms. Third/Fifth down! She transforms- Wait, Beast Boy can become a YETI!?

You shake off the shock that Beast Boy proved a cryptid is real to then focus your attention on the Raven lookalike and Boot. You build as much energy as you can, and you whip up as strong a storm as you can.

You bring out spirit paper and quickly scribble down the circle for Uidre.

"Sorry to cut off your greeting, Uidre," you say as she appears. "Bit of a hurry. Please supply me plenty of water."

"Certainly!"

She produces water and you mix it with wind for ice elemental magic, and you blast ahead of horse Ms.Third/Fifth! She puts on the brakes and rears back, almost throwing the lookalike off.

"Be something taller!" the lookalike shouts at Ms. Third/Fifth.

The horse becomes a giraffe, and the lookalike climbs up the tall neck to go over the ice barricade! You move forward to see she drops down to kick Starfire and Raven away from Boot! You blast more ice but she's already ripped the restraints off Boot. Boot gets up just as the ice makes contact, and his flames burn through! As ice melts into water and steam, you see Boot has four eyes, just as the man in white did earlier!

"Bum rush the docks!" Boot shouts.

"But we don't even know if anyone's gotten a boat yet!" the lookalike says.

"Well they better," Boot says. "Or I'm gonna kick their ass!"

They turn and run, Ms. Third/Fifth returning to horse form.

"Robin, Cyborg," Beast Boy calls in his communicator. "They're headed your way!"

"And we're right behind them," you say.

You have Shadowfax go back to motorcycle form to keep up with the cheetahs as they reach their 60 to 70 miles per hour top speed. You blow past where you left the Raven lookalike and round the corner on the south end. The cheetahs slow down but you can keep going, and you've caught up!

You have the gravity seal out again and reach out, but she changes to a weasel to slip under your hand, and then she returns to a cheetah to speed back the way you came! Beast Boy hurries after, you whip Shadowfax around but you've already fallen behind.

Ms. Third/Fifth is making a bee line for where you imprisoned the lookalike. She's going that full 70, and then she transforms into a rhinoceros?! That momentum with the new size and she SMASHES through the barrier you put around the lookalike! She's freed the lookalike in one swift and reckless move, but she's standing up tall as the lookalike hops onboard. Ms. Third/Fifth then becomes a horse and they ride off to go help Boot!

You summon wolves and have them rush the normally colored shapeshifter. She and Beast Boy both turn into wolves to match, and Beast Boy joins your pack to swarm Ms. Third/Fifth. She transforms into an elephant to be too big for the wolves, but Beast Boy becomes one to match. The wolves still claw at her, she rears up and he gets under her to push her over! She transforms into a hawk and flaps away to safety but Beast Boy becomes an eagle to overtake her.

You recall your wolves as the fight takes to the air. You have the wolves disappear and you do your best to summon a bird that can fly, not just chickens. You go with a seagull, and get it flying to try and keep up with the birds of prey. It's quite the dog fight, as the saying goes, but Beast Boy naturally has the edge, being these are his powers and he's used to them.

Your seagull comes up below and pecks at Ms. Third/Fifth. She flips around and hits back with talons, but that allows eagle Beast Boy to tackle her. Things return to the ground, and from there, you recall the seagull. Ms. Third/Fifth changes into a tiger, but Beast Boy changes in the air from eagle to hippo! And hippo Beast Boy belly flops onto tiger Third/Fifth!

You move in, gravity seal at the ready. But she uses the shapeshifting power to become something very small and you can't spot her! Beast Boy goes back to being an eagle to use those literal eagle eyes. He spots something and chases it! You turn Shadowfax around and follow behind him, but then as if from thin air, a cheetah appears! The cheetah builds speed but Beast Boy chases after as a green cheetah.

"Shadowfax and I will head over," you say. "You ladies keep an eye on these two."

Shadowfax gallops for the north side of the island. You see a huge fire but no SUV so it definitely had to be what exploded. And there are a lot of soldiers down on the ground! You hop down to check on them, but they're all asleep. Of course, the yawning power affected them because you didn't have the protection spells active on them.

You get back on Shadowfax and look around. You see the man in white using gold scrap metal from the destroyed SUV like big fists as he punches at Robin. Robin nimbly dodges the big gold fists but he can't get any closer to the man in white like that, either.

Lil the cheeseburger shirt girl has some kind of clamp on her mouth and it looks like Cyborg's tech. He clearly muzzled her so she can't use her biting based memory loss ability. However, she still seems to be a handful, running around and trying to pick up weapons from the sleeping soldiers!

As for Beast Boy, he keeps changing forms as someone else keeps changing into regularly colored animals! Did Ms. Third/Fifth copy his powers the way she did Boot's? They're going animal for animal, from to lion to tiger to bear, to anaconda!

You hop back on Shadowfax and ride around the golden SUV to go after Boot. He swings wildly at Raven and Starfire as they zip around. Starfire and Raven shoot him with their energy blasts but he stays up. He's starting to ignite again but Raven blasts him with ice. Starfire throws punches and Boot staggers, but he stays up to grab her by the leg and throw her down!

You recreate the lance and charge forward. Boot sees you coming and squares up. You thrust and hit him square in the shoulder! Like the magical sword, it doesn't pierce the flesh but it does numb the arm. Shadowfax gallops into Boot and knocks him down. Boot tries to get up but his numb arm doesn't support him. Raven dives and stomps Boot into the ground!

You have Shadowfax circle around as Boot gets up again. You charge in, Raven moves aside, and you hit Boot in the other arm with your lance! Now he has two floppy, numb arms as he staggers about.

"Whatever!" he barks. "I can still fight with my legs!"

He does his best to kick but he's rather top heavy and his legs aren't that developed.

"Looks like you skipped too many leg days," Raven says.

Raven sweeps the legs and makes Boot land on his face. He can't get up with his arms numb and he flounders with his face in the dirt.

The golden SUV suddenly starts moving again. The man in white is dragging it over with his golden telekenesis! He gets it up off the ground and it heads for the docks!

You turn Shadowfax that way but Boot manages to get to his feet and rams into Shadowfax's side with a shoulder! Shadowfax staggers but steadies himself, and you smack Boot with the shield! Boot staggers, Shadowfax turns and bucks him again! Boot falls over and groans, but then *KABOOM* something explodes by the docks!

"Whoa!" Raven lets out. "Was that the SUV?"

You immediately put up a circular barrier around you and the lookalike to keep her contained in a 10 foot radius.

"That's not going to hold me back," she says.

She runs up as best she can on one leg and punches the barrier! The barrier cracks but stays up this time.

"I know you're strong, so I made this one very sturdy," you say. "You and your friends aren't going to take those stones you stole out of the city."

"They're not my friends," she grumbles. "They're my family."

She rushes you and you block with the shield. She shoulders into you and you dig your heels in but she still pushes you back. You turn and let her slip past, then use the momentum to push her from behind with the shield. She tumbles, you storm up on her and knock into her again. She staggers, you swing the sword and she steps back up against the wall. You ram into her with the shield and pin her against the wall. More proof that the bosoms aren't real since you don't feel the squish.

"Oooh~, getting rough, aren't you?" she says with a smirk.

"That's not my style," you say.

You tag her other leg with the sword and numb it. She grumbles but she uses her arms to push herself up the gap between shield and wall. You swing the shield to slam her down, and without her legs working properly, she does her best to back stroke and crawl with just her arms. You use several layers of Binding, with chains and shackles and then a complete case to cocoon her. With her struggling to move at all, you open a space in the circle and move on to...

A sword. That is to say, a "Knightly Sword," just 90 centimeters long, with the blade being 75 centimeters. And at only a kilogram, it's very easy to swing around. And being this is a magically constructed sword, you've made it so that it does not cut flesh but it will numb what it touches.

You thrust, she dodges with a side step, you backhand swing but she jumps back to dodge again. You swing backhand again and spin through as she jumps back again. You keep spinning and go low to clip her on the leg. She stumbles as it goes numb from the calf down, and you thrust at a shoulder. She leans back but you still graze- Wait, you're hitting her in the equally voluptuous bosom, but you don't feel contact being made.

She falls back, uses the working leg to kick and turn over, then she pushes back with her hands to support her as she kicks at you. You reform the shield and block, but she rolls away before you can hit that leg with the sword. You step and swing but she stays low. You spin the sword in your hand and thrust! She rolls out of the way and you stab ground. You deconstruct the sword and get your arm away before she can grab it.

"You keeping your distance isn't very fun," she says, being rather flirty with her coy pout while on her knees. "Put the toys away and get more hands on."

"No, thank you," you say. "Who even are you? Why do you look so much like Raven?"

"Oh, is that who I look like?" she says as she looks down at herself. "Yeah, I bet she looks good in a bikini top, too."

She plays with the straps to juggle the jubblies.

"Too bad I can't smother you with these," she says. "That'd be so much fun."

The way she's talking and with how you stabbed but didn't stab the bosom, you're definitely curious as to what's going on with her.

"Hey!" Lil the cheeseburger shirt girl shouts. "There are boats over here!"

What? But the marina on Treasure Island is cut off. Unless... Are the military bases on Good Herb Island related to the Navy?

You have Shadowfax gallop after the Raven lookalike. She runs out of the way, you have Shadowfax rear up to turn sharply and chase after her. Instead of a lance, you swing a mace at her but she's fairly agile. At the same time, you're up a little high riding Shadowfax in his horse mode.

The Raven lookalike gets around, jumps up and gets on Shadowfax's back! He starts to buck but the lookalike uses her legs to grab onto you!

"Well aren't you cute?" she says as she squeezes tight. "If only I had time to play with you."

She swings off to the side, using her weight to pull you down! You grab the reins but you still slip off the saddle. You run alongside Shadowfax and he slows down to help you. The lookalike sits up to wrap an arm around you for a sleeper hold! She's working to use her full weight to drag you down! You use a little bit of lightning magic in your hand to zap her in the arm and she lets go! She falls to the ground but grumbles as she gets back up.

"Ugh! Stupid magic!" she says, just like Boot and the man in white have said.

You choose to stay off Shadowfax to battle her directly, and you bring out a magical construct...

well I don't really have a character roster but if we're talking the six metas Rorek and the Titans are fighting...

Boot has white hair, wears a lot of red, is big and bulky and on top of super strength, his skin ignites into flames.

"The man in white" has the Midas Touch but his golden gloves can negate that, and he has telekinesis specific to gold. he's of course wearing an all white suit and shoes.

cheeseburger shirt girl is the youngest. she erases you from people's memories upon biting you, and she's denser/heavier than you'd expect for her tiny body.

the Raven lookalike has her own super strength.

"Ms. Third/Fifth" can gain another's powers from touch, which is how she's copying Boot's strength.

and then there's the Muppety girl who's all floppy and has the super yawn.

You decide to try Knight style this time. You create a shield for your left arm and you create a lance for your right. You'd equip armor but you aren't wearing that many layers because it's summer. Otherwise, you could perform Alchemy on a jacket or outer shirt to make it a breastplate.

The gold SUV comes up and you charge at it! The Raven lookalike is driving but the man in white is in shotgun. You aim your lance, and the man in white makes the SUV pop a wheelie! You miss out on attacking the grill but you still take a stab at the undercarriage! You miss vital things like the tire axle and transmission, but you cut through the floor and the prop shaft. Er, drive shaft for the American term. With that, the rear wheels lose power and this SUV is only going on front wheels!

The SUV drags along, as it now has to rely on half of its tires. You can tell the man in white tries to move it like he did the SUV in Vegas, but Raven clamps the tires down with Binding. The SUV keeps moving, dragging the dead weight of the tires, but that seems to be rather difficult for the man in white. The six bail out of the SUV, cheeseburger girl carrying the Muppet on her shoulders.

"Good Herb Island. We'll have room to battle there, and the man in white won't destroy the bridge with his powers that way."

"Good Herb Island has some military bases on it," Cyborg says. "We can have them help keep the civilians safe and the roads cleared."

"Good thinking, Cy," Robin says. "We'll do our best to steer the SUV to the offramp, Rorek and Raven will cut off ways in and out after that."

"Right," everyone else says.

"Back to a bike, then," you tell Shadowfax.

Shadowfax leaps and transforms from horse to motorcycle, and then you turn and ride off a pier! You go through the air and have a rough landing on the water as the MagiDrive kicks in. Raven flies with you and you make a straight line for Good Herb Island.

To be fair, Good Herb Island is loosely connected to Treasure Island, so you can't be sure Good Herb is even an island. But whatever, you get up onto the bit of land that bridges the two islands and turn right. Treasure Island has small docks for boats, you'll definitely need to keep them from reaching those and getting away by water.

You and Raven combine efforts and create a set of barriers to block off Treasure Island from Good Herb Island. You then find your way along this road and see the Interstate junction already has some military uniforms around it.

"Are you with the Titans?" a soldier asks.

"Yes," Raven says. "We need you to put up road blocks for the Interstate so no one comes in or out."

"Yes, ma'am," the soldier says before hurrying off northeast with a unit.

"So far so good here," you call to the other Titans through your communicator.

"They're almost there!" Robin says.

"Back to a horse," you tell Shadowfax.

Shadowfax transforms again and you bring out the magic construct weaponry again.

"You all get going," you tell Robin, Cyborg and Starfire. "Raven and I will let this building down gently."

Those three pull the golden wall down more, Starfire flies out while Robin and Cyborg get the R-Cycle and T-Car through.

"Okay, dropping outer wall," Raven says.

"Right," you say as you construct an inner wall.

Raven lets her wall down and the debris falls to your wall.

"My turn," you say.

Raven puts up a new wall behind yours and you let off so the debris can finish falling. You and Raven back up towards the door, and you put some gentle slope into your walls so the debris can slide down rather than crash and bounce off.

"Has it all settled?" you ask.

"Hard to say," Raven says. "Worse case scenario, I can shadow phase us through things.

"I suppose so," you say, already getting a bit of a cold chill.

You and Raven take one more step back and then you let down the walls entirely. The last bits tumble and fall, Shadowfax anxiously brays but you calm him down. You hop on board and have him trot out over the gold wall and back to the street, Raven floating by your side.

"Which way are they going?" Raven asks into her communicator.

"Southeast," Robin replies. "They're likely going to get on the interstate and get out of town."

"Raven and I will cut them off," you say. "We can trap them on..."

"Prop up the wall!" you shout.

You and Raven use your magic to create pillars, but pieces are still falling away! You and Raven create a roof to catch the debris, but obviously the metas are getting away.

"They can't go far," Robin says, "their vehicle's on the other side of the building."

"But they can definitely get to it if we don't get through this gold," Cyborg says.

Starfire roars as she flies at the gold wall and punches it! She makes a good dent but it doesn't go anywhere. She starts pulling at the edge of it, Robin hooks it with his bird grappling hook, and then he and Cyborg pull. Beast Boy transforms a green gorilla to jump up and grab the edge and pull, too! The gold starts to bend, and you can hear an engine starting outside.

"Someone get going after them!" Robin says.

Beast Boy changes from gorilla to rat and he slips through the gap. You hear the six metas scream and shout, then something slams the gold from the other side. It gives way much easier and you see Beast Boy as a great green T-Rex! The SUV burns rubber and T-Rex Beast Boy goes chasing after.

Raven flies up and combines water and wind. You use magical charge arrows and shoot three over the man in white!

"KORI!" you and Raven both say.

Your charges explode and she blasts ice from her hands, and you two create a jagged, frozen obstruction! The man in white growls as he glares at the ice.

"Wow, it god cold in here," Beast Boy says as he rubs his arms, then transforms into a green moose.

"The ice is radiating cold, to make it harder to touch," you say.

The man in white growls as he rubs his hands together to warm them up. He reaches out for one of the frozen spikes but he has to breathe on his hands to get them warmer. He touches it and it starts changing to gold, but he lets go from the extreme cold.

"Yawn, damn you!" the Raven lookalike shouts as she holds up the Muppet person. "Yawn like you've never yawned before!"

The Muppet person yawns long and hard, but it has no effect on you and the Titans!

"Protection spells," you say as you point to the paper on your chest.

"What good are you?!" the Raven lookalike shouts as she shakes the Muppet.

"I'm sOrRy~!" the Muppet says as she flops about.

"Boot!" the man in white shouts. "Get over here to burn down the ice!"

"Lil, get your fat ass off me!" Boot shouts.

"Hold on," Ms. Third/Fifth says as she scoots over.

She puts a hand on Boot's head and then suddenly her muscles swell! She uses physical strength to break the bolas, and then she picks Lil up off Boot's back. Boot then gets up and roars as his fire returns! He storms for the ice and punches it! It cracks like the building all did, and then he roars as he pushes his fist in deeper!

You take aim at Boot with your magic bow and arrow, but Ms. Third/Fifth throws Lil at you! You change from bow and arrow to a shield and have her crash against it. You can feel the weight Starfire was talking about as she causes you to almost fall off Shadowfax!

Starfire flies at Boot but the man in white breaks off the piece of gold he made from the ice and telekinetically throws it at her! She punches it away, but then the Raven lookalike gets a boost from Ms. Third/Fifth and she grabs onto Starfire with a full body grapple. Starfire flies right down to the floor to ram the lookalike into the ground!

Robin throws his birdarangs, Cyborg shoots sonic blasts, but the man in white uses the gold wall he ripped down to shield himself and Boot!

Green moose Beast Boy becomes a green ram and, well, he rams the gold! It stays up so he rams it again! Ms. Third/Fifth tackles him away from the gold, but he transforms into a green Japanese macaque to wrestle his way free.

"It's open!" the man in white says as he opens the gold shell. "Someone pick up the dead weight!"

Ms. Third/Fifth runs over to the Muppet and scoops her up before running back towards the gold shell. Robin and Cyborg stand in her way but she tosses the Muppet way over their heads! The man in white catches her and then pushes the wall of gold forward! Raven and Starfire combo blast it and it twists and breaks but it keeps moving forward! You have Shadowfax gallop out of the way and the mass of gold hits the other wall!

The Raven lookalike, Lil the cheeseburger girl and Ms. Third/Fifth regroup with the others.

"NOW we bring down the house!" the lookalike says.

She, Boot and Ms. Third/Fifth with her borrowed strength grab the same side of the opening and rip down the wall! That half of the building starts to collapse! You turn around and see the golden slab is blocking the way you and the Titans entered!

You run back to Shadowfax and hops back on.

"So there's a sixth one, huh?" you say.

"I'm not sixth, I'm third!" this new girl pouts. "Unless you go by age, then I'm fifth."

"Huh? Nevermind, I'll take you in, too."

You break out a technique you've been meaning to try in creating a bow and arrow. The arrow is really a magical charge shaped like an arrow, and you aim it at little Ms. Third/Fifth.

"BINDING!" you say as you *VWIP* shoot the arrow.

The magic arrow becomes a bolas and wraps her up around her arms and body. She falls over from the arrow's momentum, and you reload with another magic arrow as you aim at the man in white. But he's doing cartwheels as he heads for the back wall, making parts of the floor into gold.

"You ever hear the one about the Ship of Theseus?" he says with a grin as he touches where Boot made the crack.

The wall turns more and more gold! You aim your arrow and *VWIP* but he pulls up chunks of gold from the floor to block it! He keeps converting more of the building into gold! Cyborg shoots sonic blasts but again the gold chunks are used to block.

*SMASH* Someone or something smashes down the wall dividing main room and back room! You look over and see the long haired Raven lookalike, and she's in a bikini top and mini skirt...!

"Yeah, that's the spirit!" Boot says. "Bring down the house!"

Starfire then *BLAM* clubs Boot on the back of the head with the stone table! Boot falls on his face and the fire on his skin goes out.

"Here!" you say. "Gravity tag!"

You throw the paper to Starfire, but then something gold intercepts it! It's the same shape as the gravity seal! Of course, the man in white made it gold and used his powers to move it! But how did he even reach a hand over to touch it? Does it have to do with having four eyes now?

"Okay, someone stop Rumpelstiltskin from turning everything into gold!" Cyborg says. "He's trying to undo Rorek's spell by changing this building!"

Beast Boy as a green lion and Raven's summon construct lion charge over!

"But don't let him touch you!" you shout. "He has the Midas touch!"

Beast Boy puts on the brakes but Raven's lion isn't as fast to react! The man in white touches it and turns it from black to gold! He then has it... rather awkwardly turn around. He's apparently never had to puppeteer something like a lion.

"Screw it!" he says as he throws the lion!

Beast Boy dodges by changing into a chimpanzee, then he changes back into himself.

The man in white uses his gold kinesis to start ripping the gold wall down! You glance over and see your sealing spell is faltering.

"Lil!" the Raven lookalike says.

The girl with the cheeseburger shirt runs out, towing Robin along by his snare! The lookalike breaks the cord with her bare hands then picks cheeseburger girl up with both hands.

"She came in like a wrecking~ ball~!" the lookalike shouts as she throws cheeseburger girl at Starfire!

Starfire yelps as she catches cheeseburger girl and is suddenly weighed down!

"How is one so small as heavy as a full grown Flarnop!?" she lets out.

"Don't let her bite you!" actual Raven shouts. "She steals memories!"

Starfire drops cheeseburger girl and she falls on Boot's back.

"Whahapen?" Boot mumbles as he lifts his head up.

"Wall's down!" the man in white shouts.

"Bullocks," you say.

You'll try Alchemy to counter how he can make anything into gold from touching it. You write an Alchemy circle to turn gold into stone, just to change things so he can't throw them around.

You wait for him to telekinetically throw the pieces of picnic table at you. You catch one and tag it with the Alchemy paper. The half of table becomes stone, just as intended, and you let it drop. You dodge as he throws the other half of the table, it comes back as if he were reeling it in, but you slap the Alchemy paper on it and it turns into stone. The momentum carries it so you pivot and throw the stone table at the man in white!

He puts up his guard and takes the hit, and he staggers back but otherwise stays up. He grabs the table piece and makes it gold again, but you throw the other half at him! He uses the gold table to shield himself but the stone table causes it to bend! You bring the stone table back, swing it around, and he again shields himself. The gold table gets hit hard enough that it completely folds!

"Surrender and I won't have to bash you with this table!" you say.

"AH~! Bad horsey!" someone says behind you.

You turn around to see Shadowfax chasing off a young girl from the sealing spell!

"Where'd she come from?" you blurt out.

You then turn around in time to see the folded gold table flying at you!

"CUSTOS!"

Your defense spell deploys in time and the gold table bounces off it. You throw the stone table over to Starfire.

"Use this to knock Boot out!" you say.

"Yes, this will do nicely for the kicking of butt!" she says as she catches the hefty bit of stone.

You create some magical charges and have Shadowfax steer around. Cyborg shoots away golden projectiles the man in white is slinging at him. Turns out, the projectiles are his golden gloves.

"Cyborg! Make an opening, would you?" you ask.

"Sure thing!" he says.

Cyborg uses double sonic cannons to blast away the body of the gold picnic table. You then side arm a magical charge and have it ricochet off the floor!

"KASAI!" you shout.

The charge explodes with fire and the man in white flails to slap the fire out. But that in turn makes the jacket turn into gold.

"Great," he complains. "There goes my favorite jacket."

He takes it off and uses his gold kinesis to throw it your way. Cyborg shoots it away, you throw your other two charges, one bouncing off the ground and the other going straight through the air.

"RAITON!"

The charge that bounced off the floor explodes with electricity and it tazes the man in white!

"KORI!"

The second charge explodes into ice and it encases his torso! Cyborg then blasts the ice and it shatters while sending the man in white flying! You leave Shadowfax to run up and get closer to him, your gravity tag at the ready! You throw it at him and it lands on his chest!

"JUURYOKU, HAJIMERU!"

The gravity spell turns on and pins him down!

"Ugh! Stupid magic!" he grumbles as he tries to lift his arms.

"I won't be able to tag this one with my gravity seal," you say in regards to Boot. "His spontaneous fire will burn it off."

"Then we'll just have to knock him out," Cyborg says.

You now put all your focus on the wolves, and you have them flank Boot. He tries to keep an eye on them all but Starfire dropkicks him in the stomach! He throws a punch but she blocks and kicks back. You have the wolves bite down onto Boot's denim jeans, two wolves a leg, to anchor him. Boot kicks around to try and shake them off!

Cyborg and Starfire fire away on Boot while you create another magical charge. You then spin into the side arm and sling it under him.

"RAITON!"

The electricity strikes Boot and he stiffens up, but he stays standing. Starfire then flies up to dive down with a double ax handle, driving Boot into the ground!

"Is he out?" you ask.

More flames burst out from Boot's body so that's clearly a no.

"He's an idiot, but he ain't weak," the man in white says.

You look over, and he's getting up!? Wait, does he have four eyes? And how did he get the gravity seal off his chest? You don't have a lot of time to question things as he gathers up the many things he turned into gold.

You take out one of the blank papers you'd left over and figure it's time to adlib and assign it something.

"I'll protect the sealing spell," you say. "Everyone, take one and press it to your body!"

You throw out the protection spell papers and each of the Titans grabs one. You and the boys put them on your chests while the girls put them on their arms. The spells go into effect with a glowing wave that goes over everyone.

"We'll go get the other three," Raven says as she, Robin and Beast Boy head for the back.

"Try and flush them out this way," you say. "I've got something for each of them."

Cyborg shoots sonic blasts at the man in white while Starfire brawls with "Boot." She can take the fire on his skin but she still has to bob and weave to avoid his meaty hands' haymakers. You summon wolves and have them go after Boot while you help Cyborg against the man in white.

"Alright, I've got something," Cyborg says. "They pulled the golden SUV into a warehouse at the Jump City docks."

"Which one?" Robin asks.

"Pier 41," Cyborg says.

"I'm closest to the docks," Starfire says.

"Remember, keep watch at a distance," Raven says.

"I've got a special sealing spell," you say. "I'll bring up the rear."

You take off and find your way south to where the docks are. Along the way, Raven and green hawk Beast Boy fly overhead, and then Robin on his R Cycle and Cyborg in the T-Car come in from a northern street. You see Starfire flying over a warehouse and all of you head that way at full speed. Starfire busts the garage door down, the R Cycle and T-Car pull in, then Raven and Beast Boy fly in. You have Shadowfax whip around as you enter and you slap the paper with the sealing spell on the wall!

"We've got you now!" you say as the spell takes effect.

The burly man in red and the lean man in white are clearly caught by surprise. The big man suddenly throws the cheap folding chair he was sitting on, but Starfire easily blasts it out of the air!

"You idiot!" the man in white says. "I could've used that!"

The man in white wears gold gloves, and he pulls one off to touch the cheap picnic table in front of him. The table turns gold, and then the man in white throws that! Raven catches it with levitation magic, throws it back, but then it stops in midair! It flips around and now goes legs first! Raven stops it again but it seems to be a push-o-war between her and the man in white!

"Gold alchemy at a touch, and then gold based telekenesis?" you say. "That's unique."

"We gotta get outta here!" the man in red shouts.

He runs over to the far wall and rams his shoulder into it! A crack runs up the wall a good 12 feet, but the wall doesn't fall thanks to the sealing spell you've applied.

"Ow!" the man in red shouts as he shakes out his arm. "Why didn't that work?"

"Get that paper off the wall!" the man in white says. "We can't leave here until the spell's undone!"

"Ugh! Stupid magic!" the man in red growls.

His eyes start glowing red-orange and his skin starts burning with actual fire! He roars and runs straight at you! But Starfire intercepts and digs in her heels to bring him to a stop! You then have Shadowfax turn and *CLANG* hit him with both back hooves! He leans back, but then stands up tall again. He throws Starfire away and she lets out a "WAA~!"

Cyborg hits him in the face with a sonic blast and he staggers again. But he only gets angrier and the fire gets stronger. But then Starfire comes back and tackles him out of the way!

"Where are the others?" Raven asks the man in white. "We know there's more in your little group!"

"Oh, yeah, like we're going to give that up," he says back. "Gonna get us to monologue our master plan and stuff like all the villains you've faced? We're not stupid."

"Yeah!" the man in red says. "They're obviously in the back, anyway!"

The man in white sighs.

"Alright, I'm not that stupid. Boot is..."

This group is very prone to running away so you need something to keep them contained. And since you know the young woman who looks like a lot like Raven can punch through magic barriers while the big man in red can punch through brick walls, you'll have to try something else.

On one piece of paper, you write "Shouheki," the kanji for "barrier," at the very center. You surround it with a repeating kanji, "Tatemono" for "building." This will make it so no one can leave whatever building you're inside, so hopefully you can contain them within a hideout or refuge.

Nine pieces of paper left, and you take a head count. Raven's almost lookalike, the young girl in the burger T-shirt, the Muppet person, the man in white who loves gold, and now the beefy man in red. That's five of them against the six of you. You have the numbers advantage but you can't be sure the limits of their powers. You take five papers and use various runes to give them the power of Gravity magic. You'll make them weigh too much for them to move, in lieu of Binding spells that could be broken.

Four pieces left, and you might need a back-up if something happens to your other papers.

"Raven," you continue. "I'm thinking we prepare something for when we do catch up to this crew."

"Same here," she says. "Asking the Druidic spirits for help might be a bit severe, but seeing the strength shown to bust down the museum wall, I don't know if Summon constructs can stand up to them."

"Well, nothing I can make," you say. "You have a naturally higher affinity, maybe you can muster up something a bit stronger than just wolves."

"Maybe," she says while thinking. "Beast Boy, meet me at the park. I need you to model animals for me."

"Uh... Okay," Beast Boy says, a bit confused.

That's actually pretty smart, using Beast Boy's ability to become animals to get an idea of how they should be for Summoning, rather than struggling with mental visualization.

As for you, you unfortunately left your knapsack back at the tower. You could use some paper for some things. Wait a minute. You're at a library! You turn off Shadowfax's engine and puts up his kickstand before you hurry inside.

You look around and find a section with computers. And with computers, there are printers. You go over, grab about three or four sheets of paper and turn around to head for the door, only for a rather stout woman to be in your way.

"Sir, do you have a library card?" she asks.

"No," you say. "But I just needed the paper."

"Sir, you can't just take paper from our printers," she says.

"It's fine, it's just paper," you say. "The printer's feeder is full with fifty more."

"That's not the point, sir!" she says, getting a bit more upset.

"I don't really have time for this," you say as you bring out your wallet.

You slap a $5 bill down on the desk and leave, even as the woman whines, "Sir!"

You fold the sheets of paper in half, then cut them each down the middle so that you now have eight pieces. You then take those and cut them in half so that you have 16 different 4-by-5-and-three-quarter-inch pieces of paper.

On six, you quickly right various protection spells, both from Western and Eastern schools. You can tag yourself and the Titans with these to be ready defensively for anything these metas can throw at you. That leaves 10 pieces of paper for just about anything.

"Alright, I'll check from that point, but also the point where they got on the bus," Cyborg says. "One way or another, they have to stop somewhere as a home base in town."

"Right," you say and Raven both say as you head to the elevator.

"Rorek and I encountered them while in Las Vegas," Raven continues. "Whenever and wherever these metas are spotted, whoever is closest hangs back until the entire team can converge."

"Got it," the others say.

You return to the garage, get back to Shadowfax and ride back out into town. You use your MagiPhone to give you directions to the library.

"If they stole the SUV, they stole it in another city," he says. "They rode into town with it, and apparently stopped by a drive-thru to eat up."

"And from there?" Robin asks.

"They drive around aimlessly but they find their way to the library," he says. "No stops in between."

"So they don't have a home base yet?" you say. "Seems like they did this rather haphazardly."

You do what you can to follow this bus along its route, going intersection by intersection, camera by camera. But this is rather tedious since bus routes are long and start very early in the day, and not every stretch has cameras. You lose track of the bus part way but pick it up at the next corner as it turns off from a northern street.

You keep going and finally see where this strange little crew first boarded the bus: the Jump City Library. It seems the big bruiser in red waited outside while the others spent time inside the library. As time rewinds more, you see they actually all arrived together. They walk backwards to where they parked, but that's offscreen.

You quickly look for other cameras to give you a better angle. You get one that looks away from the library, and you manage to see a shining gold something or other, the reflection causes glare. But it's definitely a luxury SUV. Wait, a golden SUV? Could it be...?

You get your communicator again and hurry to call Raven.

"Rorek?" she says.

"It's the metas from Vegas," you say. "They were in a new golden SUV."

"Wait, didn't they get away in a big monster truck?" she says. "Though, I gues that doesn't keep them from getting a new vehicle."

"I'm using the surveillance camera system to track where this SUV came from," you say, "but they arrived at the museum because of a bus. There's a chance they regrouped in the SUV, though."

"That's true," she says. "You wanna tag out to be in the field?"

Surely, there was surveillance of the museum at the time of the break-in. Maybe the Titans have looked into the museum's internal cameras but you try to find footage from an external street camera.

Now where is the system to access things like that?

You look through the menu and find a few shortcuts that lead you to things relating to Jump City. Power grid map, sewage system map... Best route from Pizza Corner to the movie theater? You keep scrolling through the options, also finding that the Titans keep track of "the one vegan food truck in town," probably Beast Boy's entry, and get to the surveillance camera map.

You find the museum and zoom in on that area. There are only two cameras even in the area, but you can't be sure which end of the museum the geography exhibit is on. You click for the northwest side, and it's obvious by the gaping hole in the building that you chose right.

You start rewinding the footage back and find that it was just half an hour ago that this all happened. Going backwards, people are running into the hole with bags, walk out without the bags, and the wall reforms. You let it go forward and see someone big and bulky punches it down all by themselves! You zoom in but that only makes things blurry. The big guy wears a lot of red and has his platinum blonde hair up in a manbun. It's hard to tell what the others are wearing, but this crew seems to be made up of all different shapes and sizes.

Wait, where did they even come from? You rewind again, wall reforming and the mishmash crew walking backwards off screen. They came from the south...

You go back to the map and trace the route. South leads to an intersection so you go there. The crew definitely storms up from here, and they come from the east. You again back out and move that way and keep track of this small handful of bandits. And... they come off a bus.

"No, I recently unsubscribed from the Dark Arts Black Market newsletter," he says very sarcastically.

"Are you sober or drunk?" you say. "It's hard to tell what kind of attitude you're having."

"Ha ha," he says, still sarcastic. "Well, I'm a bit busy at the moment with a full blown crossover of sorts, but I think I can help out. That is, if I stay alive and don't forget."

"I expect nothing less from you, John," you say. "Call me even if you don't find anything."

"Right, covering all the bases or something like that," he says.

"Jade, lapis lazuli, onyx and opal," she says. "Yeah, I did, too. It made me think of the bit of Jewelcrafting we read at your family's home."

"Exactly my thinking," you say.

"Cyborg, Robin," Raven says as she floats over to them. "Ror- er..."

"The Magician," you quickly whisper.

"The Magician's seeing us on the news," she says. "We're both thinking that the stones taken have something to do with magic."

"Magic from stones and crystals?" June says; you're hearing an echo now that it's on TV and the communicator.

"Well, in some cases it's just New Age medicine theory," you say, putting on your best American accent, somewhere between Mid-Atlantic and Southern. "But I can verify that there's something to those particular stones being taken."

"How intriguing..." June says. "Could I get an exclusive on that?"

"I think you just did," Raven says. "Magician, correct me if I'm wrong, but the effects don't activate until the ore's been cut into proper stones, right?"

"That's right," you say. "If our stone thief knows what they're doing, they can Jewelcraft stones that'll help them be stronger in the realm of magic. Resistances, strengths, this could be about a magic user trying to puff themselves up, like a magical steroid."

"We've got a handful of magical villains on our radar," Cyborg says. "We'll have to put out the word to the Titan Network."

"I can check with some people I know," you say. "I'll contact you if I find anything good."

"Alright, talk to you soon," Raven says.

You two hang up, and you get out your MagiPhone. Honestly, you don't really know that many people steeped in the seedier parts of the magical community, but you could call John Constantine...

You decide to go with the news to hear the latest headlines.

As it turns out, a news team is watching what's going on at the museum. Something about that makes sense, since it's daytime and it's a prominent location, and there's no active battle or crime.

"This is June O'Flannigan for JCN11, live at Jump City Museum," the female news reporter wearing a blue jumpsuit says. "The Teen Titans have arrived to investigate a pretty blatant break-in into the natural science wing."

Blatant is right, there's just a hole in the ceiling. The news camera catches the Titans walking around and investigating. Beast Boy is a green Bloodhound to try and pick up on scents while Cyborg has various lights scanning around.

"Excuse me," June says, "Robin? Do you have any clues as to who broke in and why?"

"No, we're working on that right now," he says. "But we can already see what was taken. This is the geology section of the wing, and a lot of different crystal ores and uncut precious stones were stolen."

Hmm, crystals and gemstones? A criminal could steal from a jewelry store and get much more valuable items.

"What would be the purpose of taking crystals and uncut gems?" June asks, thinking along the same line as you. "Jewelry stores are where the money's at."

"That's because this might not be about money," Cyborg says as he walks up behind Robin. "Many of the crystals taken can be used for focusing laser beams or more industrial uses."

"Though..." Robin says while thinking, "if that were the case, there are better sources for Zinc Selenide than a geology exhibit."

"True..." Cyborg says while also thinking.

You also agree, your family knows many companies that deal in ZnSe for the use in laser focusing lenses. A corporate lab would be a more obvious target, since they'd already have the materials and the machines to make a lens.

"So they stole a comparatively small amount of this Zinc Selenide while there were better targets," June summizes for herself. "Then perhaps they were here for the Zinc Selenide and the other stones only found here at the museum?"

"That's a good point!" Robin, Cyborg and even you say at the same time.

"Among the other stones taken were jade, lapis lazuli, onyx and opal," Robin says. "I'm not really sure the significance, when again, a jeweler would have a larger supply of those."

Jade, lapis lazuli, onyx and opal... Those certainly are curious choices. Jewelcrafting in magic taught you the properties of those stones, but that just makes this even stranger. Zinc Selenide, a scientific and industrial crystal, as well as the naturally occurring precious stones, all in one smash and grab?
