I might go this route. I called etrade support and they said you don't pay interest on margin debt until the stock purchase settles a couple business days later.
I like doing it this way because I don't end with a few cents to a few dollars left over after the transaction. I try to keep my cash amount in etrade at 0 or 0.01. I believe when you first link your bank account, it takes time for transfers to go through, but after a few transfers at the most, they just credit you instantly when you place the transfer order. --- |
