Blue_Popo 03/14/24 11:51:15 PM #40 | RchHomieQuanChi posted... Tbf, most of those characters have had confirmed follow-ups for a minute. Bucky, Zemo, US Agent, Red Guardian and Taskmaster will all be in Thunderbolts. Falcon in Cap 4. Agatha's spinoff show should be coming this year. And Spider-Man 4 is almost definitely happening. Thry have confirmed follow ups but it will take 4 years. Captain america, iron man and thor benefitted from appearing every year or 2 years |
Topic | Marvel allegedly canceled a bunch of projects. |
Blue_Popo 03/14/24 11:27:45 PM #36 | Ant man doesnt sound bad. He got 3 movies and 2 team up movie roles. 5 appearances total is more than you could ask for with ant man. Wasp also got 4. That and quantumania ended closed enough (which was a problem). Captain marvel had 2 movies and 1 team up movie role. Plus 2 minor appearances. She also ended on earth and in peace Eternals got one movie. The movie is left on a cliffhanger, with the team split everywhere and the earth being shaken apart. While this happens an earth sized alien says he will come to judge the earth. This is a rough spot for these characters and the comtinuity of the universe. If not an eternals 2, something here needs to fill in the gap Both of those will still get future team up roles |
Topic | Marvel allegedly canceled a bunch of projects. |
Blue_Popo 03/14/24 8:01:44 AM #19 | Yeah eternals, ant man quantumania and the marvels are their lowedt rated 3 movies and they get the axe. Maybe make better movies Here are some characters that are are just chilling around White vision flew off Agatha still under a spell Falcon has been chilling with his new suit Bucky has been chilling and lost his arm offscreen US Agent just chilling Zemo chilling in jail Red guardian chilling Milena chilling Taskmaster chilling Shang chi who knows Razorfist, shang chi sister doing crime offscreen Eternals, john snow and blade's voice MIA Spiderman still swinging around Hawkeye retired? These are just 2021 characters that have not to this day been followed up Then theres leader, scorpion and mordo just doing whatever all these years. I'll give characters from 2022 and beyond projects some time to show up |
Topic | Marvel allegedly canceled a bunch of projects. |
Blue_Popo 03/14/24 7:31:53 AM #3 | From what I understand the captain america shoots were for action. The celestial part wasnt the issue Sucks. I liked eternals. I do think it would be best if they were part of some sort of space avengers team before a solo project to get broad audiences into them The good ant man movies made money Captain marvel was never given a proper director The answer is to make better movies |
Topic | Spider-Man 4 to be a street level film and not multiverse. |
Blue_Popo 03/11/24 5:32:25 PM #11 | Charged151 posted... There is no reason Sony can't just cast another Spiderman to handle all the villains from the spinoff movies and leave the MCU Spiderman (Tom Holland) in the MCU. Another option is to finally make Amazing Spiderman 3, as Andrew Garfield has already shown interest in coming back. There must be some behind the scenes deal that states tom can be the only active peter parker. Thats the only explanation for the spiderman-less spiderverse |

Blue_Popo 03/09/24 11:59:47 PM #14 | Part 2 was good. 8/10 Mildly overrated but a fun ass movie I will say from a production/cinematography standpoint it may be the best movie I dont see the chalamet/zendaya chemistry and the characters arent that deep |

Blue_Popo 03/04/24 8:05:48 PM #64 | Kradek posted... Blasphemy. I liked the core message, the struggle of the daughter. The scene where they were rocks was cute. That said the humor was too whacky for me. From the buttplug fight to hot dog hands. I appreciate the swing and will always respect a movie that tries something unique but I had to force myself through it 6/10 |

Blue_Popo 03/03/24 6:45:57 PM #1 | Darth vader is still being rebuilt. Yoda is equal to or stronger than palpatine. They can both manhandle clone legions. Even if vader was ready, obi wan has shown in episode 3 and the show that he can beat vader comfortably. There should be no inquisitors around to deal with Bonus just needed to get a hold of ahsoka, baylan should be around, the guy who did the voice of jar jar |

Blue_Popo 03/03/24 4:27:04 AM #20 | I give this an 8/10, improvement over the first Attention to detail is like unmatched in terms of visuals and worldbuilding The harkenans (I didnt spell this right) kind of went out soft. Batista reminded me of the wrestler heel run....but jobbed The first worm ride was intense to watch Austin butler was awesome |
Topic | Dune 2 non spoiler thoughts from 2 people who didn't care for the first one |
Blue_Popo 03/03/24 3:00:55 AM #1 | I watched thr first a few months ago. Liked the lore, the visuals, the acting. Didn't care for the characters. I landed at a 6/10. My date straight up didn't like it outside of visuals and thought part 1 was a 5/10 She was absolutely floored by this movie, said it was one of the best experiences in theatre and gave it a 10/10. Austin butler being her standout I enjoyed it more as it is a better movie. Seems to have more and better humor. Some of the world building stuff is done and it can move ahead. Paul has more development and his internal dilemmas are shown well. Action is good. Love the way the sci fi is done from having to take water out of corpses or the way they walk in the sand. I have next to no flaws with the movie. If someone described what this movie is and does Id think I'd love it...but I settle on like it. Usually Im good at explaining what I didnt enjoy but here I can't. I still had a good time but its more "its a good time" than "best theatre experience ever". I land at an 8/10 but 8 closer to 7 than 9. I thought batista and pugh were underutilized a bit. I still dont see the timothee/zendaya chemistry. Austin butler was the highlight. Oscar isaac is still missed |

Blue_Popo 03/02/24 8:35:45 PM #60 | dancing_cactuar posted... Assuming canon events aren't just cope, I assume it's just an adaptation on a multiversal scale where Miles in 42 would have initially had to deal with that shit, but now that Miles in 1610 got bit things have been adjusted to compensate, much like how 1610 Miles probably would have been the next Prowler if he didn't get bit. I interpreted it as miles became prowler because spiderman didnt exist in that universe to keep the captain alive. I still hate multiverse but this is the best multiverse movie |

Blue_Popo 03/02/24 12:27:48 PM #14 | Im not going to argue with raimi spidermam movies as they didnt click back then and still dont. I domt hate them and give them all the mercy 7/10. I dont see any of them as teenagers, never did. They are full grown ass men and women in a school setting. Tobey always looks like hes crying, regardless of when hes happy, angry or neutral. I know its their origims but all 3 villains are freak lab accidents. There are plus points to these movies but they dont sniff my top 10 I think vibranium on vibranium didnt work but the rest of it was good. Killmonger vs tchalla 1 was really good. I also give it credit for taking a lesser known setting and doing it well The avengers movies do stand on their own (minus endgame). They are enhanced by watching everything else. Not that im saying sales dictates quality but infinity war and endgame are 2 of the biggest movies ever but everyone that watched those didnt watch all 20 movies before them. People know they can jump in and have a blast Drax was a joke well before guardians 3 so I cant even fault 3 for his failings. I loved the consequences of animal planet, added to the evil of high evolutionary |

Blue_Popo 03/02/24 11:20:06 AM #4 | Cephalopods posted... GotG 1 is the best of the 3 imo, but I did enjoy 3 a lot. My favorite of the individual MCU series by far; always felt they would stand on their own outside of the MCU and may even actually have been better had they been independent it. Guardians 3 is more emotional. Guardians 1 has a bad villain, guardians 3 has a great one. Guardians 1 did walk so guardians 3 could run but for me guardians 3 is better |

Blue_Popo 03/02/24 11:14:55 AM #1 | 10. Xmen days of future past: I remember watching the 90s xmen show and while sentinels were massive, they were surprisingly soft. The color scheme also didnt help. These were scary fuckers more out of a horror movie, one of the better adaptations that go unnoticed. Also it mixed the old and new xmen cast well while giving wolverine a good starring role 9. Spiderman No Way Home: its become cool to hate on it and the reason for why things occurs is kind of silly but this movie made me appreciate all 3 live action spidermen more 8. Black Panther. A movie that caught me by surprise. The lead is good, the villain is amazing. The sci-fi aspect of Wakanda was well realized. If the final battle wasnt a ps3 quality cutscene this could go higher 7. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. The Guardians under James Gunn get a near perfect sendoff. Rocket has an emotional story. The movie is beautiful which is never discussed. Its weird that ant man quantumania fumbled Kang and this movie did Kang better a few months later in the high evolutionary 6. Spiderman Across the Spiderverse. Beautiful visuals that take advantage of what would be difficult to impossible to film in live action plus cgi. Gwen gets an expanded role which really hits. Family dynamic is great. Spot is a fun villain. I didnt like the goofy spiderman squad in the first one and this got rid of them 5. Captain America Civil War. I think this is the comic book movie with the best action. Tony and Steve just have such conflicting personalities with each other that the conflict works 4. The Dark Knight. Everyone knows what it is. Heath Ledger steals the show as the best Joker ever. 3. Thor Ragnarok: I didnt care for the thor movies or Thor in the Avengers movies. I had zero interest in this movie. Didnt even bother to click on the trailers. Watched it and it was a blast. This is my fun comfort movie. Its always on in my place as my backgroumd noise movie now as well. Great fights, great visuals, gave thor the update he needed. Thor needed loki, hulk to play with. Hela was a great villain 2. Avengers Endgame. I cant think of a better conclusion to 23ish movies. It referenced almost all of them well. 1. Avengers Infinity War. This movie did so much with Thanos. Every line he says is quotable and memorable. Up to this moment this may have been Strange and Thor's best iterations. Amazing fights and of course the snap |

Whats so special about spiderman that certain events in his life absolutely had to happen to prevent the collapse of the freaking multiverse?
