CJayC thought he was too old for gaming in the Xbox 360 era. I mean geez, gaming has only gotten more popular and varied now. Not saying that equates to popularity but I wonder what he'd think of today's scene. Heck I never even knew how old he was back then. I think some ppl knew his phone number lmfao. The internet was a way different place in the early to mid 2000s though.

He had to have been in the 30-34 range when he was saying he was too old for GameFAQs. Which is probably the average age now lol.

So, you've noticed the new design. And you're probably wondering why the GameFAQs logo is giving the GameSpot logo a horsey ride. The reason, of course, is that CNET is an evil corporate entity that wants to swallow the site and make it indistinguishable from every other site out there, throwing away every ounce of user goodwill the site ever had, and I'm a willing party to it all. Mwa hah hah.

So, in conclusion: Be patient. Give us a little time. I'm listening to what you have to say, and I'm going to work to make this site as good as possible for as many people as possible. There's lots of work left to be done, so don't give up hope yet.

Those are some interesting lines even 18 years ago people were saying the owner of the site would ruin the site. And the way he ends it is interesting the admin goal being to make the site as good as possible for as many people.

Why do we have this same topic every week? Y'all are literally disabling adblock so you can complain about ads. Just stop.

Thread is meant to be a discussion about the site having rules and than the ads having another. It would be like GameFAQs saying porn is banned but have porn ads. I thought ads were supposed to align with the rules of the site instead of shutting down this question saying use adblock and ignore the hypocrisy.

https://www.indy100.com/celebrities/danny-dyer-andrew-tate

British actor Danny Dyer has spoken out in horror after learning his nine-year-old son, Arty is a fan of the controversial influencer Andrew Tate. 46-year-old Dyer, best known for his role in EastEnders and movies like The Football Factory was speaking about the revelation on a new Channel 4 documentary called Danny Dyer: How To Be A Man. Tate, who is currently awaiting trial in Romania on accusations of rape and human trafficking, became a social media sensation in 2022 after going viral on various platforms such as TikTok for his often controversial opinions on women. Dyer has now spoken out against Tate after learning that his son had become a fan of the influencer after discovering his content on his phone. The actor said: "Andrew Tate's loud-mouthed, anti-feminist rants have attracted him millions of followers worldwide. If there wasn't social media, there would be no Andrew Tate. I remember back in the day, I think Andrew Tate tried to be on Big Brother. So he was looking for fame, and that was his only avenue in."

Dyer added: "Now he's the most Googled man on the planet apparently, there's disciples, there's other little youngsters going, 'I like what he's doing, I'm going to do the same thing'. "My little boy whos nine, he's really smart, but he's got a phone now. So the other day his mum said to me, 'Oh, you know, he likes Andrew Tate', and I went, 'What?' So I went, 'You like Andrew Tate?' He went, 'Yeah, that is a top G'." A horrified Dyer then pointed out to his son that Tate says "really fucking stupid things" which didn't seem to phase his youngster. Dyer added: "It is flowing through every school, even here. It's integrating into young boys' souls. And that's all they need, because it's a tough time to be a boy. At school, they're behind girls at every level. "From early years to SATs, GCSEs, A-levels, university admissions and degrees. They've got to figure out sex and relationships in the post MeToo era, and thats a minefield. And they've got toxic alpha influences promising them empowerment, making them feel good about themselves."

If you want to do hornyposting go to those subs that can't be mentioned here since GameFAQs is for 13 year olds and it against rules to link to those porn subs. Politics was closed like a year ago. Because I started coming to CE last year in the summer and people were complaining about all the people from 261 closing that flooded into CE. So it was already closed down as of last summer.

That makes it worse if it was a year and they didn't think to update those threads. Well it is easier now. They can just delete the threads since politics discussion is banned every where except CE. And unlike that old thread they can't link to CE it a private board.

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/sports/gap-caitlin-clarks-wnba-salary-male-counterparts-draws-outrage-rcna148024

College basketball superstar Caitlin Clark is set to soar to new heights in the WNBA but her rookie contract will see her pocket a mere fraction of the millions her male counterparts have cashed in on the court. The University of Iowa legend, who has already made history as the NCAA Division I basketballs overall top scorer, sealed a contract with the Indiana Fever after she was selected as the No. 1 overall pick in the WNBA draft Monday. The contract will see Clark earn $338,056 over the course of four years, according to the WNBAs collective bargaining agreement. Under the 2024 WNBA rookie scale for the No. 1 - 4 draft picks, she'll earn a base salary of $76,535 for her first year, $78,066 the second year, $85,873 the third, and a fourth year option of $97,582. Despite her unprecedented star power, Clark's salary is just a sliver of the eye-popping amount male athletes make in the NBA. For comparison, San Antonio Spurs rookie star Victor Wembanyama the No. 1 pick in last years NBA draft secured a $55 million four-year contract that saw him pocket $12.1 million in his first season, according to athlete contract tracker Spotrac. Though Clark will likely rake in much more income through endorsements and sponsorships, outraged simmered on social media over the glaring salary disparity between the WNBA and NBA. TODAY show host Hoda Kotb said Tuesday morning: Theyve already sold out games. She had the highest ratings, her teams and the Final Four had the highest ratings higher than the World Series, higher than the NBA. So, I was like, what is she going to get paid? Because finally, you can get a real paycheck. Then I saw it and was like, this cant be right. Co-host Jenna Bush Hager added: Honestly the gap is so jarring ... Were talking about equal pay. That ain't even close.

Even male athletes have chimed in on the gap. Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson shared a post about Clark's pay on X, adding: These ladies deserve so much more Praying for the day. To the people saying it doesnt matter what Caitlin Clarks salary is because she will be making millions through endorsement, it actually does matter, one user on X wrote. Presumably shell make bank on endorsements but Caitlin Clarks WNBA salary is less than that of a union nurse, teacher, or cop, another added. Journalist Lisa Ling wrote on Instagram: Steph Curry makes more per game than what Caitlin Clark is making for 4 years! With the toll sports and travel take on womens bodies, is this even a living wage? I know WNBA games have not brought in comparable numbers by any stretch of the imagination, but this is disgraceful. Do better for all of our women athletes! The fight for more equitable pay in womens basketball has been a long one. From a salary standpoint, itd be great for the women to be able to make more money, WNBA legend Lisa Leslie said in an October 2022 episode of The Shop: Uninterrupted in a conversation with fellow basketball stars LeBron James and Draymond Green. Its a lot of work its a lot of hard work. I think I saw something that said one player that makes maybe $12 million on an NBA team can cover the whole WNBAs salaries. And so thats kind of crazy, she added.

The answer is probably an offshoot clone forum, like the LUE people made when their board got privated.

CE didn't like the Politics board users flooding in, they brought a sense of indignance with them and it became harder to discuss certain topics and perspectives without getting shouted down, the board culture changed quite a bit and within less than a year we ended up quarantined too.

Us CEpeople probably have a lot of traits other communities wouldn't like as well.

Reminds me of that MGS speech.

Everyone withdrawals into their own small gated community, afraid of a larger forum; they stay inside their little ponds leaking what ever "truth" suits them into the growing cesspool of society at large. The different cardinal truths neither clash nor mesh, no one is invalidated but no one is right. Not even natural selection can take place here. The world is being engulfed in "Truth". And this is the way the world ends. Not with a BANG, but with a whimper.
