Judging by that interest chart he might have left the site near the top. Kinda wonder if he had been around a bit longer would he have been able to keep the interest that high.

It is kinda funny in a way one thing mentioned in his good bye was he felt being early-mid 30s was too old. Now that is the average age on the site.

Yea site has a lot of archaic limitations. There is an 80 character limit for titles. 150 character limit for links. A character limit for posts. You can only post 10 topics per 24 hours on the entire site.

Just take a look at the internet.

These days it's all about images, clips and videos. I don't like it that much either (especially if we are hitting TikTok / YouTube shorts territory), but a wall of text that is just a list of 50 topic titles is a bit outdated by now.

Hell, we can't even post gifs or PNG files without summoning the horrors of C'thulu.

I don't like the reddit style of upvoting posts, but I truly think how they handle images and media is much better.

I like how Reddit has a feature where if someone posts a video/text you can view it without entering the thread. On GameFAQs only way to see the OP is entering the thread.

Social media like Facebook killed message boards. Some might argue that some boards live on, maybe with decent activity, but in general message boards died off.

Yea that is one of the issues that take place on GameFAQs/forums. People prefer to make jokes than seriously answer the title someone makes. On Reddit for example top response is often a CSI: Miami type of one-liner.

Yea. Since Fandom took over there hasn't been one of those greatest game ever contests. That was something that brought traffic to the site. And had people outside of it talking about GameFAQs. Like all those article when Undertale won.

Yea that is a part of why I couldn't get into AEW it just seemed more obviously fake/planned than usual. Maybe there is a term for it but watching the matches felt like dancing. They have a set of moves planned to do with partner.

Yea. I guess it too late. If I had made the topic before 2019 maybe there could have been a discussion about original. The parodies are discussed a bit more in thread.

But I completely understand. You can't even see the original music videos on YouTube they got taken down. So the only way to view it even if you wanted is through reaction channels or videos where not all parts are in same video on Youtube. He is persona non grata. The songs are still up though. And the parodies are still up. So people can enjoy the music with the parodies without directly saying they like R Kelly music or what he created in the original.

Yea he constantly escalated stuff out of nowhere threatening to shoot people. Him singing every ones lines along and then on top of singing everyone lines he suddenly becomes a omnipresent narrator/character. Was also hilarious. That first time in media I seen an omnipresent narrator type person introduced in middle of an ongoing story.

I might need to rewatch the parodies but I think American Dad was only one that referenced the omnipresent/ghost or whatever you call it R Kelly character.

I'm glad at last minute I added "and parodies" just wasn't sure if people actually wanted to discuss the original. Like I had no idea about the package stuff going on.

I just found out there was 33 parts. I have only seen the first five and went to Youtube to rewatch to find out Youtube deleted all his music videos years ago. Anyway went to one of the reaction channels and watched and forgot how funny it was. Quality drops in part 23-33 but there were still some moments. Apparently R Kelly said it was meant to be serious at one point.

That parodies were great too by Mad TV, Weird Al, and American Dad not sure if that can be discussed either since while different people it connected to R Kelly.

Just report it and move on. Youtube is very slow when trying to catch bad actors. Ultimately it's their responsibility, not yours to worry about.

A lot of those videos are getting 100K to 1 million views. YouTube isn't going to take them down with all the traffic they bring.

I thought this was in 2024. Once I saw Trebek was kinda disappointed that meant video had to have taken place at least 4 years ago. I am a fan of Trebek but new episodes of show are airing right now so thought it was from that.

If YouTube is going the OF route, then it needs to lock such content behind an age consent wall. Advertising also needs to be regulated because again, people talk "watching your kids" as if it's the 90s.

Some are age restricted. Some aren't. Some are just topless.Some show gentalia and change during the video.

No one has named a name so far. So I have to assume naming these channels are against the rules so can't give examples of everything.

It's a black comedy the whole way and it's hilarious. Love it when the characters misquote phrases, use malapropisms, and say other stupid things in an attempt to sound smart or deep.

Several of them do. You just don't know the names or video titles that get you there.

Im guessing it is moddable to say names why no one has named a channel yet. I know of dozens of these channels was just waiting for someone else to say a name before saying one.

Why didn't more users join it? Would have thought at least 1% would have. Is it because CE is still open to so many people so they don't need to go to discord? Or is it something else?

It is probably because praising it or saying nice is hornyposting. So the way to phrase OP and keep thread up to bring attention to what they want to discuss was to be negative. That is what I think going on with TC.

Videos are age restricted and Youtube kinda works on a recommendation system. If kids are finding these videos they are searching for it. They could just as easily be searching for porn in a google search.

I been seeing them too. I just never made a topic since I thought those videos were against the Tos. Espically now with the hornyposting ban not worth risking being kicked off CE for it.

Yea. Not sure how to discuss this without spoiling in case others want to watch. But the 30 year old taking the money and eliminating all the 20s and 30 year olds along with the spin landing on the 40s alliance pretty made the path easier for a 40s alliance win.

In terms of ET GameFAQs generally has more users online around 9PM ET. Than 7AM ET which was when this thread was made. I think a part of it was West coast a sleep. And this was the day right after those massive rules changes.
