What's wrong with carts? Sega moved to discs and still lost as far as consoles are concerned. The N64 did alright and the DS and 3DS did better, still using carts.

The GC was a piece of crap. In fact, in my opinion, Nintendo dropped the ball when they decided to keep the N64 cart based when CD consoles debuted and Nintendo went from being on top of the videogame industry to 3rd place and Sega bowed out altogether and those two were the numbers 1 and 2 video game companies in regards to consoles during the 1980s until the late 1990s early 2000s.

Yep 64 is the 4th place console, and that is because it had legendary and revolutionary games. Nintendo didn't make good decisions after the SNES until they released the Wii.

Second, the weights are shown in kilograms, which means this is not from the US, and thus that's not US Dollars. It's probably Canadian, which would be about US$60, and that would mean it's about $3.08 per pound. If it's Australian or New Zealand it's even less.

The last saturday morning cartoon I, personally, remember that was exclusively a saturday morning cartoon was static shock and I don't remember there being any toys for it. There probably was, but it came out when I was 12 so I was outgrowing toys at that point.

Morrowind is the only (main series) Elder Scrolls game that I just flat out refused to play beyond an hour or so. I even beat Arena as obtuse and confusing as that game is. Morrowind just sucks.

Did you play it when it came out? Just curious if that impacts your view, because I loved it when it came out but found it unplayable when I tried to play it a few years back.

Morrowind has the best main storyline (easily) and roleplaying of the three games. It also has the weakest combat, music (I'd even put it below Daggerfall), atmosphere (unique doesn't necessarily mean good), and most generic NPCs. All three games are either in or just out of my top 10, though.

I'd have to disagree with you on atmosphere. I remember exploring morrowind with wonder, while wandering through Oblivion with apathy. At least they learned their lesson and gave Skyrim some better environment design than Oblivion had.

Eh it's not as though I have encyclopedic knowledge of all his art but I'll just say almost all his female characters are unattractive. He does good at making cool looking main characters but almost every other character is going to be, what I presume to be, intentionally goofy looking.

He's fine, not outstanding in any way though.

And if I had that kind of time to game I'd probably rather do it getting through big chunks of a system's library, but it always seems like people do it with the same few games. I guess some are just good at getting at our compulsive/addictive nature, I know that certainly I'm not immune to it

I don't know what you're expecting, people are largely listing multiplayer games that have been around for at least a decade. A year is 365.25 days so you really only need to put in an hour a day for like 3 years to hit the 1k and a lot of people on a website like this will spend more than one hour a day gaming. Post 7 is really the only major outlier I noticed but there are a number of people who do repeatedly play a small number of games with limited replay value like speed runners.

Anyone who has played Morrowind will realize it is better than the other two games in every way except graphics and the fact that Morrowind requires you to hold the stealth button down the entire time you stealth as opposed to the other games making it a toggle.

I'm honestly amazed that someone who posts on an old game forum like this doesn't know who Yahtzee is. Dude was one of the first ever online gaming video content creators. He was a pioneer in the industry when Youtube was still brand new.

Whether you like him or not, you should definitely know who he is. Dude is up there with the AVGN in terms of OG video content creators.

People on the internet frequently tend to think that just because they know/like someone popular that everyone knows who they are because they are popular.

To be fair, there's also the consideration that some people rely on guns for hunting for food, and that would be more than a minor inconvenience. But that's also an exception that can be managed with additional procedures, rather than something that's valid cause to throw out the whole idea.

I don't think so. Like there might be some exceptions for tribes and such (I don't know), but unless they are engaging in poaching no one in the US lives by hunting for food.

You'd think they'd want to be open when most people aren't working their 9-5 though. Instead they overlap with most people's work schedule which leads to less people going and thus getting less people giving them money/ using their services. Move those same 8 (or however many) hours into the evening and they'd make more.
