During the Assembly's return to the floor since the new year, Republicans passed legislation that would lower the concealed carry age from 21 to 18, allow legal gun owners to have their weapon in their vehicle when dropping off or picking up their child from school, and allow anyone with a concealed carry license from any state to be armed in Wisconsin.

With gun violence on the rise in Wisconsin and across the nation, Republicans believe more residents should be able to carry a gun legally to protect themselves.

State Rep. Shae Sortwell (R-Two Rivers), author of the bill to lower the concealed carry age, contends if 18-year-olds can vote, they should be allowed to arm themselves.

"They are mature enough, they are adult enough to make these decisions and yet we are going to deny them the basic human right of self-defense?" Sortwell said.

Democrats argue the measure would backfire and result in inexperienced gun owners.

When applying for a concealed carry permit, state law doesn't require someone to actually fire a weapon.

"Guns in these situations do not make people feel safer," said Rep. Lisa Subeck (D-Madison). "In this state, you can get a concealed carry permit and never once get any hands-on firing a gun and that's terrifying."

State Rep. Deb Andraca (D-Whitefish Bay) called the GOP bills ridiculous because it would allow high school seniors with concealed carry permits to have a loaded gun in their car and at school events.

"This makes absolutely no sense, and quite frankly is scary to every parent with children," Andraca said.

Sortwell admitted his bill would lead to more guns on school property, but believes it's a "common sense" measure to avoid people breaking the law.

Currently, schools are specifically excluded from the state's concealed carry law, and individuals can face a felony if they possess a firearm on school property.

Republicans are looking to please their base this election year by introducing proposals like these, that are likely doomed for Governor Tony Evers' veto pen.

When asked, Evers said the GOP efforts to expand guns rights are "pretty bizarre," during a press event at the Capitol.

Evers and Democrats have long advocated for more gun control measures, such as universal background checks and red flag laws to allow judges to temporarily take away guns from people who pose a threat to themselves or others.

Both measures have been rejected by Republican leaders.

I mean they really are and it honestly isn't much different in Canada (compared to the US) either.

Like when I did my driver's test I never had to prove I knew how to properly drive on a highway nor that I could handle rush-hour traffic (it was in the middle of the day, so the roads were somewhat busier but not BUSY BUSY).

I think basically what it comes down to is that driving here is treated far more like an "inherent right" than a privilege.

Also the more minifigs a set has the more expensive it is relative to a set with a similar piece count but less minifigs.

Like the LEGO City sets that are 100% just minifigs doing various activities (like the "At the Park" one) are ridiculously expensive for the number of pieces they contain.

The problem with the licensing is that it drives the prices of the regular sets up as well.

Like a lot of LEGO City sets are more expensive than they arguably should be and that's largely because it's bearing some of the costs for all the licensing rather than the licensed sets bearing 100% of their costs.

People aren't actually buying that for that price nor is it worth that much. Don't always believe secondary market prices because there is tons of shady manipulation that goes on.

There's tons of Ebay sales around that price, there's really no reason to believe it's market manipulation.

If memory serves, each game is 90 dollars if you count the DLC. 60+30 for Sword and 60+30 for Shield.

So it really depends if that listing includes the DLC or not.

That said, whether or not the two games are WORTH 180 dollars is a completely separate story. I actually enjoyed SwSh but almost 200 dollars seems a bit much.

According to court documents, on January 19, 2022, law enforcement agents with Homeland Security Investigations responded to a request for assistance from the U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) based out of Pembina, North Dakota. USBP initiated a traffic stop on a white-colored, fifteen passenger van less than one mile south of the U.S./Canadian border in a rural area between the official ports of entry located at Lancaster, Minnesota and Pembina, North Dakota. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Steve Shand, 47, a U.S. citizen. Law enforcement asked for identification of the two passengers in the van and determined them to be undocumented Indian nationals.

According to court documents, law enforcement discovered cases of plastic cups, bottled water, bottled juice, and snacks located in the extreme rear of the passenger van. Law enforcement also discovered receipts dated January 18, 2022, for the drinks and snacks, and rental agreement receipts in Shands name for the van, with the return date listed for January 20, 2022. USBP arrested Shand for smuggling undocumented foreign nationals. While Shand and the two passengers were being transported to the Pembina Border Patrol Station in North Dakota, law enforcement encountered five additional Indian nationals approximately a quarter mile south of the Canadian border walking in the direction of where Shand was arrested. They appeared to be headed to an unstaffed gas plant located in St. Vincent, Minnesota. The five Indian nationals explained that they had walked across the border expecting to be picked up by someone. The group estimated they had been walking around for over 11 hours. One of the group members was in possession of a backpack that did not belong to him. He stated he was carrying the backpack for a family of four Indian nationals that had earlier walked with his group but had become separated during the night. The backpack contained childrens clothes, a diaper, toys, and some childrens medication.

According to court documents, later during the day on January 19, 2022, USBP received a report from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police that four bodies were found frozen just inside the Canadian side of the international border. The dead bodies were tentatively identified as the family of four that was separated. Two of the surviving Indian nationals sustained serious injuries and were transported to a hospital.

Shand is charged with one count of knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien had come to, entered, or remained in the United States in violation of law, having transported, and moved or having attempted to transport and move such aliens. He made his first appearance today before U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge Hildy Bowbeer. Shand was ordered to remain in custody pending a preliminary and detention hearing, currently scheduled for January 24, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. before Magistrate Judge Bowbeer.

This case is the result of an investigation conducted by U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Homeland Security Investigations.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Laura Provinzino is prosecuting the case.

But with Reddit's blocking system you can't even reply to a comment that's connected to the post of the person that has you blocked at all, no matter how deep in a comment chain it is.

I'm pretty sure it's a cartridge issue. KH 1.5 + 2.5 is nearly 60gb on PC. They can't fit that on Switch cartridges.

They easily could have just ported the PS3 versions of the games and probably have been better off for it.

Djokovic and his wife, Jelena Djokovic, purchased an 80% stake in QuantBioRes in June 2020 for an undisclosed amount, according to the companys business filings.

QuantBioRes is a Danish medical technology company using Resonant Recognition Model (RRM) technology to develop Covid-19 treatments, according to its website, and its chief executive, Ivan Loncarevic, told Reuters that the firm employs about a dozen researchers and plans to launch a clinical trial for its treatment in the summer.

RRM uses electromagnetic frequencies to analyze macromolecular functions the method could be used to help develop treatments that inhibit the RNA replication process of SARS-CoV-2 in humans, according to a paper coauthored by Loncarevic and published in the International Journal of Sciences in June.

Loncarevics LinkedIn profile says hes raised $69 million from the EU and Danish public and private funds.

The companys website appears to be last updated in July 2020 and does not include information on employees or business dealings.

Loncarevic declined to comment to Forbes and a representative for Djokovic did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

A folk singer from the Czech Republic has died after deliberately catching Covid, her son has told the BBC.

Hana Horka, 57, was unvaccinated and had posted on social media that she was recovering after testing positive, but died two days later.

Her son, Jan Rek, said she got infected on purpose when he and his father had the virus, so she could get a recovery pass to access certain venues.

The Czech Republic reported a record number of cases on Wednesday.

Mr Rek and his father, who are both fully vaccinated, both caught Covid over Christmas. But he said his mother had decided not to stay away from them, preferring instead to expose herself to the virus.

"She should have isolated for a week because we tested positive. But she was with us the whole time," he said.

Proof of vaccination or recent infection from the virus is required in the Czech Republic to gain entry to many social and cultural venues, including cinemas, bars and cafes.

His mother was a member of one of the oldest Czech folk groups, Asonance. She had wanted to catch Covid so there would be fewer restrictions on her movement, Mr Rek explained.

Two days before she died, she wrote on social media that she was recovering: "Now there will be theatre, sauna, a concert".

On Sunday morning, the day she died, Ms Horka said she was feeling better and dressed to go for a walk. But then her back started hurting, so she went to lie down in her bedroom.

"In about 10 minutes it was all over," her son said. "She choked to death".

Although she was unvaccinated, Jan Rek stressed that his mother did not believe in some of the more bizarre conspiracy theories about Covid vaccines.

"Her philosophy was that she was more OK with the idea of catching Covid than getting vaccinated. Not that we would get microchipped or anything like that," he said.

There was no point in trying to discuss the issue with her as it would just get too emotional, he added. Instead, he hoped that by telling his story he could convince others to get vaccinated.

"If you have living examples from real life, it's more powerful than just graphs and numbers. You can't really sympathise with numbers."

The number of Covid cases in the Czech Republic reached a new daily high on Wednesday, with 28,469 cases reported in a population of 10.7m people.

The government has recently introduced new measures to combat the rise, including mandatory testing for employees and schoolchildren. The isolation period for people who test positive but have no symptoms has been reduced from 14 days to five.

Earlier this month, thousands of people demonstrated in Prague and other cities against the possible introduction of mandatory vaccination for some sections of society. The government is expected to announce its plans soon.

Around 63% of the Czech Republic's total population has been fully vaccinated, compared with an average of 69% across the EU.

As mentioned previously, the format from dual screens would be very hard to implement on the Switch, so that was out of the question.

Literally all they need is an attachment with a screen on it that ends up "sitting" on top of the Switch that acts as the top screen for DS/3DS games, because then the main screen on the Switch ends up acting as the touchscreen part.

Shit they could even come up with some kind of "streaming" thing so you could play it on your TV as well.
