We have no idea what happened as of yet. He could have accidentally shot himself or blown himself up. Meanwhile, he brought all of this gear to do untold amounts of damage and pain to countless souls.

Republicans are not responsible for advancing Democratic initiatives. Just like how now Democrats are not responsible for helping appoint a Republican Speaker. The media rightfully criticizes parties that fail to get their own shit together internally. Deflecting to the other one is bizarre, nobody outside the party has any obligation to clean its mess.

It's not impossible right now(where the specific law doesn't currently exist), nor would it be impossible in the future. The same machine learning that helps make deepfakes can and is used to detect deepfakes.

Again, this serves no real purpose when one of the real issues that can be had is the initial impact of the video, not people finding out afterward that it's fake. Even videos currently out there that people know are fake still circulate.
