I wasn't too invested into WorldEnd Syndrome even after four hours of reading, but I'll give it another shot after finishing the other two. I'll also take a look at this game, seems right up my alley when it comes to console VNs. --- |

It's still a very dated series and freeze QTEs are the worst thing in existence, but this game has a lot more fights spread out over the full length of the game and the plot is much more in focus than the first game, so the pacing seems a lot better off and it's more interesting to play through. There's a few missables similar to the first game's trophy list, as well as playing all the arcade games (one being in a random room in the final dungeon!?) and learning 15 attack skills. Luckily, you're given a ton of $ at the end so you can just buy a whole bunch of move scrolls from the shops in Kowloon, though I had 13 already by the time I got there. I did lose a few hours of progress and had to repeat the final dungeon and boss due to a few second power outage, but it wasn't too big of a deal in the end. Only took an extra two hours skipping all cutscenes and speeding through dialogue. I guess then it's time to start Shenmue III. I guess I'll find out myself if the game is any good. --- |

| Arti 11/17/19 7:17:34 AM #5 | Well you already have the two best in Steins;Gate and 428: Shibuya Scramble on your list, but if you need more The Silver Case and it's sequel The 25th Ward are two very interesting ones written by Suda51 and have similar themes to some of his other works. If you liked some of his other games these are definitely worth a look. I've only played about 4 hours of YU-NO but I do like what I've seen so far, though a lot of it seems to be a key item hunt to unlock everything in the game. The flowchart is pretty cool, though. As for the Psycho-Pass VN, I found it rather boring and really think it would only interest someone who really enjoyed the series itself. It supposedly takes place within the first few episodes of the first season. --- |
