Some of those 'meat substitutes' are quite tasty and worth having regularly, but almost none of them come close to tasting like meat at this point. I actually think cultured meat would be a great addition to the food market. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cultured_meat Although it would not be able to completely take over the entire meat industry, it could certainly significantly lower the need for lifestock, thus results in less slaughtering and lower harmful impacts on the climate. Burgers and mince have already been produced by a few companies in various countries and shown to be edible, and to taste like 'the real thing'. The middle seasons were kinda crap (especially when characters were like "but muh FAMUHLEY", even when it concerned relatives they'd never heard of or who backstabbed them before) though it did manage to redeem itself halfway season 6 imo, after Team Arrow kinda got rid of the 'B-team'. Not sure how I feel about the upcoming Crisis on Infinite Earths story. Obviously I'm gonna watch it, but I've always felt Green Arrow to be the odd one out in the crossover episodes. From what I've heard/read, police training in the US takes about 3 or 4 months average, varying per state, which to me sounds awfully short for a profession that carries so much responsibility and grants you the legal power to take someone's freedom, confiscate property, injure or kill someone under certain circumstances, and will most certainly place you in circumstances where such decisions need to be made. I have been stuck doing a dead-end security job for over the past decade, got a bachelor degree which didn't get me very far, so I started my own (not so successful) business in that field. After actively applying for jobs for over a year, I finally got hired for an entry-level traineeship. Pay will be shit for the first year, but it least it will get me the experience required for more profitable prospects. At home I have a girlfriend who is often stressed, tired, depressed and spends a lot of time in bed. We live in a shitty neighbourhood, don't have the income right now to move to a better one, and our sex life has been shit for the past year and a half. I'd have broken up with her by now if I had the money to live on my own. I still get along with her better than with my parents or the average housemate I've had, so that's my main reason to stay with her for now. It's far from ideal, but I realize there's still the potential to grow and move on to better things. That's what keeps me going.
