In it, Homer loses his job at the plant and struggles to make ends meet until he attempts suicide. At which point he dedicates himself to public safety and gets hired back at the plant as the inspector.

These days, Homer gets fired so often it doesn't get any sort of reaction beyond "must be a Tuesday"
And unlike "The Boys of Bummer", Homer's suicide attempt isn't treated as a joke

He tied himself to a boulder amd dragged it to where he planned to commit suicide, was mocked, and got mad at someone almost hitting him with their car on his way to kill himself.

It was treated pretty lightheartedly

Like, 1 +1 was still 2 before humanity. Fire existed before humanity. There was no language before humanity (yes there was communication, obviously, but not language as we know it)

A lot of people who voted Biden are extremely critical of Biden. I am one of those people. I don't like Biden at all but we were dealing with an acute threat to our country from the oval office as demonstrated by the entirety of 2020 and 1/6.

It's not really necessary for me to add "except for people who don't do this thing" when I mention people who do something.

For example: "Lots of people like apples except people who don't like apples."

Obviously I'm not talking about people who don't do the thing I mentioned in my post.

I'm not a big boxing fan personally but I see a lot of people say that the majority of people Tyson fought were nobodies and when he did fight actual condition he either lost or didn't do nearly as well.

A lot of his iconic status and popularity seems to be because he got a lot of knockouts.

"Both sidsing" isn't automatically lazy, it's lazy when used as a way to pass the buck from a problem, which he didn't do. You honing in on him saying "both sides omg" and that being the only thing you seemed to glean from his post was lazy.

Edit: from your second post I would guess a stalemate. Neither force would be able to successfully invade the other, China has way too much manpower for a US invasion to be successful and the US is too powerful for a Russian/Chinese force to invade.

Eventually the toll on the world economy would become too large without any tangible benefits to carry on the war.

I assume a lot of it comes from the fact that martial arts wasn't really a common thing before Bruce Lee came to the states and popularized it. So the mystical foreigner coming from China with an insane physique doing crazy kicks and whipping around nunchuks would have been insane to people who's only idea of fighting were boxing or Hollywood movie fights were were basically just wild haymakers.

Admitting the advantages in being white is not racism. That's like saying stating advantages of being a guy or girl is sexism. It's an obvious and observable phenomenon, ignoring it simply means nothing ever changes.

Just because most privileged people are white doesn't mean being white is a privilege. Poverty is poverty, lack of connections are lack of connections. If you don't have the means to get ahead skin color isn't going to make a difference.

Sure, statistically if you're white you're probably more likely to have those means but the majority of white people get fucked by privileged people just as much as anyone else.

I think it's stated in the anime, too. I remember knowing it for sure, but not really knowing exactly what it meant beyond the fact that they were related to the power stations around the world. The details are vague but the information is all there.

Notice how literally everyone defending the empire is just saying the other side bad too like a baby brain. The empire is meant to be evil. The empire is meant to be the united states in the Vietnam war, they are meant to be villains. Whether you find anyone else to be righteous, there is zero case for them to be so and nothing in the films supports that they are. It is actually very much fitting for American police to dress as the foot soldiers for the analogy to the American empire, however, so lol

Yeah but there weren't supposed to be any Jedi or anyone force sensitive outside of the Empires knowledge. Even if there were, there wouldn't have been anyone to help them tap into it.

It was an exhaust port leading directly to the critical weakness. Someone without the force could have hit It with a lucky shot. This makes a huge design flaw but Rogue One revealed it to be intentional to sabotage the weapon.

It was a flaw but people make it out to be a much bigger deal than it was, to the point where it's become a running joke when in reality it was a desperation ploy that wouldn't have worked if it wasn't for the fact that one of the strongest force users ever happened to be on the mission.

A pinpoint accurate shot after flying through fighters, turrets, and all sorts of other defenses isn't exactly something the comedic flaw its made out to be.
