If nothing else though, that crossbow is super fun. A bit of a liability with the exploding mechanic since enemies seem to close the distance between Ada much faster than they did with Leon, but nevertheless very fun.

Fucking hell does anyone else hate that docked war ship section with the turrets? I hate it so much. Can't even explore the area properly because I'm constantly getting blasted, and then when I finally do figure out where the key is and how to get to it and activate my own gun turret and explode all the ship's guns, there's a timer that will explode the entire area.

All the while dealing with enemies that I swear are insanely more aggressive towards Ada than they are with Leon.

Figures. My least liked area, the island, happens to be the one that has an all new original area for Ada to go through.

No Luis not again! Seeing his death all over again just makes me sad.

Wait what this doesn't make any sense. Wesker decides to use Leon to get to Saddler, but then orders Krauser to assassinate Leon before he had a chance to get to Saddler?

Speaking of, Krauser was working with Wesker but how come Saddler doesn't just mind control him with Las Plagas when Krauser is clearly infected with that arm of his.

Oh no, Wesker wanted us to kill Leon! That's why we never see Ada again in the castle area after that first encounter! I was wondering about that. It makes sense now.

There's another scene where I see Leon but can't interact with him. In the room with the rocket launcher (can't believe how long ago that seems now lol) Leon is shooting and his back is to me. Kinda silly that he doesn't even hear hear when I'm also shooting. I can't actually hit him or the enemies he's facing.

It really is so surreal though, to go through the same areas as Leon but a little different. I keep getting thrown off by expecting something to happen like an enemy appearing but they don't. Or the other way around.

And is Ada really working with Wesker? Somehow there's more to it. I'm loving Ada's explanation of the story at the beginning of the chapter. It's also considerably shorter than the main game. Not as much exploring. On chapter 3 now.

Oh hells yeah you play as Ada and it's like watching the action behind the scenes. They're showing us all the things that happened in the main game was due to Ada! She rang the bell! She was shooting at the big cheese chief!

Can you meet Leon in the village area? I saw him running from the villagers and a chainsaw wielder like twice. Every time I was either on the roof or too far away to say hi. It's such a surreal experience.

Game feels a bit different though, like more difficult. Ada seems to move a little bit faster than Leon but she needs so many more knife slashes to kill the villagers. Good thing I already have my ladder technique prepped and ready. I should suggest that for a hint/tip on the boards for people who want to conserve ammo

So the game is not over yet! I definitely want to know what Ada was doing during our time in the game.

I think I'll play separate ways and then maybe start a pro mode with Leon?

Unlocked pro mode and so many other stuff. Assignment Ada? Separate Ways?

The villagers were just normal, everyday people... And then when the music turns ominous. That was by far the best ending in games.

Finally! I did it, there's Ashley in a giant... pod. Ada just sacrificed herself to save us, I knew she was good.

Holy fuck I'm battling Krauser, I'm actually fighting him! Where'd he go he just keeps using a flash grenade and disappearing!

Actually oh hell yeah I have 5 spare magnum bullets on hand. I noticed a trick a few chapters ago where if your gun clip is empty then enemies are more likely to drop ammo for that particular gun and same thing for barrels/crates loot.

My bb ammo was done, good think there was a tuneup waiting for me at the merchant. I mean I was just blasting away, I couldn't even care to conserve especially when he starts hiding in the dirt. Good thing I still have plenty of shotgun ammo, I make sure to conserve that for the hoards of mercenary soldiers this island keeps throwing at me.

Feels good to have regular enemies all lined up like that to be killed with one exploding barrel, what a relief. I am in no mood for more encounters.

Ugh more tunnel like areas. Sneaky to hide the hole inside the tent, good thing I always explore every area thoroughly.

Holy qte Batman! That was fucking intense. I just died like 10 times on the knife battle with Krauser! He's the one who kidnapped Ashley! And all for umbrella's sake? I thought umbrella went under. There's something deeper and more rotten at the heart of this conspiracy, I just know it!

And where does Ada fit in. She just saved me from being killed... But won't tell me anything about what she's doing here.

It's Saddler! Damn it no Ashley noooo I just saved you! She's being controlled by the Plagas inside her, and Leon can't move with Saddler controlling his body! How are we gonna save them it's too late?

Right? Except it's just not the same. Something feels off. Like, it's not the same suspense I felt back then. I just feel annoyed and preoccupied with trying to keep Ashley from getting killed. They're more frustrating than scary like the cultists were.

Yeah I always felt the castle was the best in atmosphere, enemies, environment, etc. It just had the perfect feel in the game. And a good transition from starting out in the village. The island always felt so out of place in the game to me.

I like the creepy mad scientist lab feel of that one research facility at least. Jury is still out on the place though for now.

Holy shit what an insane section. Used up all my grenades now, every single one. Just crashed into a wall because another giant truck on fire was gonna ram us. Really makes me appreciate quiet rooms like this, so peaceful... Oh well time to move on.

Huh a giant... truck. I guess we can use this to get out. Hehe is Ashley even old enough to drive this thing? Well at least she's proving useful.

Son of a bitch I open the shutter door and a regenerator is literally standing right there waiting for me. I can't afford to waste any more healing items.

Ok another one, this time I heard him coming. At least all that money will buy for me more upgrades.

Thank GOD a save and a merchant. They feel more spaced out than ever.

Just finished a section that was waaaaaay too annoying. I'm in a room with a lava pit in the middle and a giant wrecking ball from construction work. And there were a. ton. of. enemies. All the while I had to make sure Ashley doesn't get shot, hit, and outright killed. Couldn't even enjoy the satisfying feeling of seeing a wrecking ball devastate the wall because I was so focuses on enemies suddenly popping up, and like half of them sprout Las Plagas out of their head.

I'll be honest the game doesn't have quite the same feeling it did in the castle and the village. There's just hoards and hoards of mercenary soldier enemies now nonstop.

Oh god. I can now spot their heavy breathing almost instantly. There were more of those... iron maidens as you call them in the trash heap area. It was like a game of ring around the rosy, I tried to run in a circle to end up running behind them and hit the Plagas on their back!

Fuck. King. Hell. That was easily the most terrifying chapter in the entire game.

The infrared scope was amazing though. There are apparently these spots, these red dots that Luis memo mentioned on these what I now know as regenerators, and if I can shoot these spots the thing just outright explodes! They can be killed!

Found Ashley in a cell, who was eerily just standing there with no acknowledgement of Leon (What was up with that?)

Went to get the card key for the door and fought off not just regular enemies, but a regenerator with spikes all over his body! That thing didn't even die when I shot the red dots on his body, I had to waste an incendiary grenade on him, it seems to do damage to those things.

Just rescued Ashley and we jumped into the trash chute. I don't know why we can't leave this horrible island the way Leon came... seems like we're jumping deeper into the zombie lion's nest.

Oh nice! There was a briefcase in the freezer door with a... thermal scope? Just attached it to my sniper and tried to look through it. I can barely see! Feels weird.

Now just as I suspected, one of those... whatever they are, just slithered off the rack!

Yes I see it thanks! And you can break the glass at the end of the room, some items there.

I want to explore the room but terrified one of them will wake. But one of the things is waiting for me just outside... I'm trapped.

Ok ok I'm in the freezer but thinking of reloading. That was just... ugh shivering here. I have only one first aid can and one herbs leftover.

What is this... meat packing freezer? Those monsters are hanging off hooks, oh god how do I kill them before they wake up, I'm knifing them but the game won't register it as a hit I have to wait until they wake up or something!
