I just realized how little patience I have compared to being a kid with no internet and near endless free time.

I remember playing portal 2 and telling myself I was NOT going to look up any solution online no matter how frustrating, even if it meant just blindly shooting portals at every inch of a giant room (portal 2 WAS kinda bullshit though in its puzzles basically devolving into "find the tiniest bit of a far-off wall in the distance that is portal gun accessible" half the time) and I almost did it up until the last area when I caved.

Thank GOD I had a spare grenade, terrifying scenery aside I just got a lot of spinels! Was hoping for ammo though....

I've never even heard of a spinel before this game.

This castle is full of traps, she just got stuck to a wall with a bunch of iron bars that wrapped around her and she's on the other side of that wall, how do I get to it? Trying to find a switch somewhere Scooby Doo style.

Finally! Time for a reprieve in this grand hall. Seems empty enough. Oh there's the merchant and a save, thank God.

Oh my god I'm so glad I got the sniper! Ashley is trapped rotating levers and I'm stuck down here and there are those zombies trying to get her and I'm like aaaahhhh there are some enemies below to attack me as well. One platform is up just 1 more to go

Gah they're even dropping down from below! After a bridge came out and I got my head chopped off by guys wielding scythes. Son of a bitch I have to do it all over again.

Oh shit shit shit! I'm in this room. This giant room with like... water everywhere. Giant pools of water.

Being flanked by enemies on all sides. These enemies now have a damn full body shield that protects them from my bullets, those bastards! Wait I think I finally found a use for those incendiary grenades, they burn those wooden shields!

They also have fiery crossbows now, and I can't seem to hit those guys until it's too late! Hiding under the stairs now, there's a room! Why isn't there a damn dumpster for Ashley to hide in when you need it!

Yes of course, he's blind! It reacts to sound! I just tried hitting the bell and he gets his claws stuck in the wall and there's a parasite thing on his back! A couple of shotgun blasts took care of him. Now ready to move on, I feel ready for anything they throw at me!

FFFFFFFFFF. Goddamn this. These new robbed enemies. They're chucking fireballs at me and Ashley has died a couple of times. I'm too nervous to even look around where they are because they always seem to hit me instantly.

Went back to buy a rifle from that dude. Rate my setup you guys:

Red9 with the stock (so cool that you can combine weapons in this game) because people keep saying it's the best one.

Bad news you guys. Not only was the helicopter sent to rescue us shot down, but the entire village came chasing after me and Ashley. We just took refuge in a... castle? Holy cow that's so cool, I thought this game was over but it seems far from it.

To think, just on the other side of that drawbridge is a whole mob of enemies waiting to tear us limb from limb. I hope we don't have to deal with those villagers anymore, they're the worst. Especially those chainsaw freaks.

That was terrifying. What the hell are these monsters! And even after I thought I killed him dude was still moving around hanging from the rafters! After taking his eye I was knifing him just to be double extra sure he's dead.

At least now I can pop that eye in the stone gate and get the hell out of this place.

My favorite tactic is to climb a ladder, wait for them to follow me, and then slice them as they're climbing so they fall back down. It takes forever but it's tried and true.

Went up the ladder and knocked it down to buy me some time. Thank GOD I told Ashley to hide in the dumpster.

Gonna do both, might as well get more items, this game is teaching me to hoard because there's always a big boss lying in wait at every room. Saving my ammos and bombs for them.

Not really. You know how many people liked those movies? A lot. My jaw dropped when this girl I was talking to told me how she loved those movies as much as lotr (thankfully not more I hope)

I mean if people like the star wars prequels and literally any of the live action transformers, then there will always be an audience for shit.
