Oh no, Wesker wanted us to kill Leon! That's why we never see Ada again in the castle area after that first encounter! I was wondering about that. It makes sense now.

There's another scene where I see Leon but can't interact with him. In the room with the rocket launcher (can't believe how long ago that seems now lol) Leon is shooting and his back is to me. Kinda silly that he doesn't even hear hear when I'm also shooting. I can't actually hit him or the enemies he's facing.

No Luis not again! Seeing his death all over again just makes me sad.

Wait what this doesn't make any sense. Wesker decides to use Leon to get to Saddler, but then orders Krauser to assassinate Leon before he had a chance to get to Saddler?

Speaking of, Krauser was working with Wesker but how come Saddler doesn't just mind control him with Las Plagas when Krauser is clearly infected with that arm of his.

Figures. My least liked area, the island, happens to be the one that has an all new original area for Ada to go through.

The whole reason I started an account here was the save files you could download to a scan disc, format and upload to the Wii because the only thing I never got on my own was the Handcannon.

Fucking hell does anyone else hate that docked war ship section with the turrets? I hate it so much. Can't even explore the area properly because I'm constantly getting blasted, and then when I finally do figure out where the key is and how to get to it and activate my own gun turret and explode all the ship's guns, there's a timer that will explode the entire area.

All the while dealing with enemies that I swear are insanely more aggressive towards Ada than they are with Leon.

Mercenaries isn't that hard. At first I also thought I would never beat the stupid thing, and now I'm halfway through the 20x5 stars. Some moments are infuriating, but I'll eventually get the Handcannon, I'm sure of that. It's only a question of time and dedication, really.

Now if only they would have given Leon's loadout a few hand grenades, the game would have been much more balanced. Every other mercenary has a decent loadout, and Krauser and Wesker are both overpowered. But as it is, Leon versus two Super Salvadors on Waterworld with only his small shotgun is really hard, I'll give you that. But it's absolutely doable, as plenty of players that have mastered this game will tell you.

Leon's was what pushed me over the edge to just say "eff it" and take the easy route. I got everything else 5 star eventually. And I still play Hunk because he's my favorite.

If nothing else though, that crossbow is super fun. A bit of a liability with the exploding mechanic since enemies seem to close the distance between Ada much faster than they did with Leon, but nevertheless very fun.

Oh shit Krauser didn't even die. Why doesn't he say anything, and why does he try to kill Ada without so much as a how do you do.

Ok is he dead for real this time or is he gonna pop up for a third time in an Ashley only run.

Fighting Saddler in base form. Gonna just unload everything I have on him since Ada loses this fight anyway in the main story.

That's how separate ways ends? Me going through a timed construction building about to blow to throw Leon the rocket launcher? Kinda was hoping for something cooler...

Still I'd love to know more about Ada and the organization she works for. Sometimes it makes me really want to get into the franchise.

This is fun though, let's see what other extras I have. There's mercenaries and assignment Ada. I gave both a once over and think I'm gonna continue with the whole Ada thing until the end.

I love Ada's combat gear outfit! Wish I could play with that outfit in separate ways. It looks so cool.

Shit I just got to the area and I'm met face to face with a machine gun toting JJ lol.

Why play the game that started the downfall of the series?

Huh, that's what a Las Plagas sample looks like. Collecting Las Plagas samples? I don't remember this in the main game.

Oh huh that's it. I guess it was just some kinda mission based minigame. Still pretty cool, and I'm loving that combat gear of Ada.

Yeah but there's no battle results screen at the end. Was kinda hoping to see how well I did.

Do you unlock anything if you never die in a playthrough and have 100% hit rate? Asking in general, not just for Ada.

Because stock doesn't make the bullets more powerful right? It just helps with aiming for those not playing the Wii version?

The stock also makes Leon hold it to his shoulder like most other guns rather than at the hip like the Striker. I personally prefer it.

Eh I tend not to notice when aiming since I tend to be standing up just like Leon (it started because of nerves but now it just feels right)

You don't get anything if you go through the game with no deaths or 100% Hit Rate.

But here's a tip about going through a chapter if you want 100% Hit Rate:

If you shoot an enemy once with a Handgun or other weapon and use the Infinite Launcher up to completing the chapter....you'll always maintain 100%.

Separate Ways round 2! Sold off all the treasure and then some, bought a Chicago typewriter. Holy yes this gun is amazing. Infinite bullets! I spent half an hour in the village just mowing down endless villagers and trying to spot Leon hahaha!

This is going to be fun. I was struggling last time but I can't wait to get to the chapter I hate and putting the gun to good use.

It is amazing how quickly you can breeze through an area when you don't have to worry about being killed and conserving ammo. Not even the chainsaw sisters scared me anymore! I'm literally just pumping them full of lead. Infinite bullets is a complete game changer.

Ship section is still kinda lame. But holy lol at how quickly I take down Krauser when I'm just shooting at him with the Chicago typewriter.

Ok this is it, I'm gonna play the main game on pro. Sucks that you don't get to keep your stuff from normal playthrough but I definitely know the game much better now and can anticipate some stuff.

I don't like the Typewriter too much, gets boring, imo, takes a lot of the fun out of the game.

Still interested to hear about Mercenaries--your best streaks, awesome kills, close shaves. Kind of bummed you dismissed it.

When you play the campaign with Leon's Special 2 outfit, Ada will be in the black "Assignment Ada outfit" in the cutscenes she's in. But I'm pretty sure you cannot change her outfit in Separate Ways.

I'm not much for Mercenaries myself. Or that type of game of just shooting for scores. I do however like playing Hunk from time to time because he's such a badass. As much as I like many of the characters in RE Operation Raccoon City, I was still mad he wasn't playable.

Shit the villagers are bullet sponges now. Good thing I make a habit of shooting the face/knee and kicking them, sometimes into a crowd if I'm lucky. My second favorite technique, the first being the ladder method.

What's more annoying and worrisome is that enemy hits take off nearly half my HP! I need to get used to the fact that I'm no longer near invincible but starting fresh.
