I actually enjoyed YIIK for what it was, it's a horribly flawed game in so many ways, however I was pretty drawn into the story as I went further into it. I just felt that over all there was something missing that could have made it great.

There were some incredible concepts I would like other games to take up and do better with. The story makes a lot more sense by the end then it should. Over all I would recommend it if you can get it super cheap and have nothing better to do.

It's weird, I've never actually been cheated on so I don't have much of a frame of reference. I've been in my relationship now over 10 years and we're basically the same person now, so I couldn't see it happening. That being said she is Bi, so if she was going to cheat it would go either way.

I can't say it would bother me more then the cheating it's self would, I'm not really threatened by guys or girls in that way as I trust my partner 100%

Also mildly shocked that people remember who I am at all from my pretty sparse posting here, doubly so on the being a lesbian thing.

Gonna enter into that post-story state I usually get in when I finish a game/series now. There's nothing to fill the void in my heart. Until Geofront is done with their Trails from Zero translation anyway

Ya, I hit the same thing, I went and checked out the real life Youtube channel for A-set. I recommend that at least if you want a little more of the world. It's not perfect but it's pretty fun. I myself don't know what to go to for gaming now. I'm playing Dragon Ball Z Kakarot... but obviously not the same feelings haha.

I have to say, I was completely wrong about everything. Learned who the killer was for real. I should have seen a lot off this coming but didn't. It all makes so much sense now.

I'm glad that your past that, the ride to the end is crazy and I loved every moment of it.

Iris is someone I really disliked at first and loved by the end of the game. I actually liked her so much I ended up watching her Youtube series after I finished the game. It was interesting haha.

just got the mizuki route end

not sure how i feel about the politician guy being the cyclops killer tbh. maybe its just because hes had barely any screen time at all, but i feel like it would be such a bigger plot point if it was a more established character.

anyways mystery solved, game over

jk ill def be hitting up the right hand side of the flowchart. its gonna suck leaving mizuki traumatized though wtf :/

When it comes to the killer, it will make a lot more sense after you finish the other endings.

I committed a sin and googled a flowchart image and theres only like 6 endings. Drats

Doesnt matter anyway. At the moment im filling out the left side of the flowchart before i move on other to the right side

What i loved about 999 was how intense that final true route got and that final puzzle. Amazing stuff

If I had to say there was a low point in this game it would be that the puzzles are a little more guesswork then figuring them out. You won't get a moment like the 999 end puzzle here sadly.

This game shines a bit more on character development and fleshing them out more then any Zero Escape game did before which to me was a really good step. I would just like to see a bit more focus on the puzzles if they make a second game.

I actually just finished the game last week. I honestly loved it. Compared to VLR and 999 I feel it stands just as strong.

The endings are actually pretty decent as learning about each character is really the most important part. Each ending gets you a little closer to seeing exactly what the motivations of the cast and I felt that was a really great way to turn them from typical anime tropes to actual fully fleshed out characters.

It does have some pretty crazy twists coming up as well as a route that totally goes off the rails at one point so you have a lot to look forward to. I actually went the same route you did at first and man are you in for some surprises going into the second main branch.

I'm going to track this topic, so if you want to discuss anything you have seen I'll come back and check from time to time. I just loved the game so much I'll take any chance I can get to talk about it.
