There's a urban myth among lesbians/bisexuals that when they really want to spite their partner or ex they cheat on them with the opposite sex because it hurts them more when they find out.

I've heard people say that it is true and people say that it isnt, but I haven't heard CE discuss it.

If you found out tomorrow that your partner was cheating on you with the opposite sex, would that bother you more than the same sex?

As a Bi person myself, it definitely would bother me the same, regardless of gender. Issue I've found that is always a great suspicion of "friendly association" with a different gender to my partner (when they are jealous, anyway)

It would bother me more since I dont have to view girls as a potential risk but if he had sex with one that would change.

I'm kind of confused as to why this might be an exclusive question to just homosexual people. As many heterosexual guys that are willing to see things differently with catching their spouse/SO with another woman vs a man, I would think this question would be open to anyone in a committed relationship regardless of their sexual orientation.

It's weird, I've never actually been cheated on so I don't have much of a frame of reference. I've been in my relationship now over 10 years and we're basically the same person now, so I couldn't see it happening. That being said she is Bi, so if she was going to cheat it would go either way.

I can't say it would bother me more then the cheating it's self would, I'm not really threatened by guys or girls in that way as I trust my partner 100%

Also mildly shocked that people remember who I am at all from my pretty sparse posting here, doubly so on the being a lesbian thing.
