I played the psp remake and hated it. It was slow, janky, the AI wasted all their mo at the start of battle (and you have mostly mages at the beginning) and the story progression is rarely clear on what to do next if you stop for a while. Also, it never really explains ehat most of the skills, like writing, are for.

Does this remake address those problems? Cause i felt there must have been a good game in there somewhere,

Characters will give text bubble reminders in the menu of what you're supposed to be doing next. You can fast travel to almost every place you've been already.

They have more voiced lines, and I'm quite certain they aren't as compressed as they are on the PS1. I haven't played the PSP remake, so I couldn't say whether they're using the voice from that instead of re-recording lines.

Chrono Trigger should be left alone if they can't do a remake justice. After seeing what they did with Star Ocean Second Story R, I think that might be the best chance at a qualified remake.

I mean, there is retry mode where bosses beat the shit out of you. They show Booster using his toy train attack to deal max damage to everyone. One thing I noticed from the attack all mechanism Is that everybody else in the battle took regular damage, with the focus of your attack getting the critical damage.

There's no HOA in the UK (as far as I'm aware), but people can entirely weaponise local councils and bully them into writing letters to people because the council are completely gutless and directionless when it comes to stuff like this. Anything to shift that complaint off their desk.

I would love to sit behind the desk just to tell people to shut the fuck up. I can't think of many things I care less about than the state of another person's lawn.

I'm playing on GOG, so I can play the game by just hitting the shortcut instead of going through the GOG launcher. I'm assuming you can do the same on Steam.

Oh goodie. BG3 had crashed for me again for no discernable reason and now won't even boot up. I love this game, I just wish it would love me back instead of trying to drive me mad.

Baldur's Gate 3 is so bad for crashes. They must have patched some stability updates that addressed my issues, because I haven't had a crash in hours. I also stopped using the stupid launcher that Larian Studios has, as every time I had a crash, it would reset all of my settings as if it was the first time I opened the game.

You're in the point of no return for act 2 if you're in the oubliette. You have a couple of quest extensions there and a final fight.
