It's part of his charm. Smodcast was one of the best podcasts available in the late 00' to early '10s. The back and forth he had with his friend/producing partner Scott Mosier made it entertaining as fuck. The problem is that Scott moved for work for like 5 years so that podcast went on hiatus and then Smith leaned more into pop culture shows. Joe Rogan got huge because he was one of the most prolific uploaders out there and had interesting guests of literally every background. The original miniseries was not exceptionally faithful to the book (sans the final confrontation, which is one million times better than the conclusion of the new movies), but Tim Curry was amazing as Pennywise.
