Back 7-10 years or so ago, there was a dark age where they were just indescribable trash. Further back, when CJayC was still in charge, they were actually very good. 80-90% of the mod complaint topics I would see were actually fair,next moderations, and the dispute system actually did offer the option to accept the moderation as a violation but argue the punishment was too harsh. An overwhelming majority of the time, I'd get 3kls reduced to nkls this way. Warnings were fairly rare (I was never warned during those years), purgatory was not yet a thing, suspensions were only given when people were deliberately causing fuckery, and bannings happened only for account suicides and severe censor bypassing. Those were the best years.
