yeah you have to play online for the ea launcher, i think ubi lets you bypass it. I installed stuff directly from my ubisoft launcher and it let me play them offline

you can get a cheap USB C dock that has an HDMI port and plug it in. simple as that

sometimes it just rolls off the tongue, also theres a lot of unisex names and its easier than getting corrected.

i have 4.5 TB on my steam deck lol. 1 TB internal, 3 1 TB SD cards, and 512gb.
I have a rather large steam library so I have a lot of the stuff on the go on demand, it's quite nice. And most of one of the cards is just dedicated to roms

And thanks to how threads on CE get deleted, I can't post proof of the other times people were blaming 4chan instead of members of the trans community going way too far. Challenge is apart of what makes the world work. If you take that away, you just blow through the world and there's no tension or build up to anything. There's plenty of leisurely games to playnout there. I usually just play one on the side when Im playing a From Soft game. That way I can just play whatever Im currently in the mood for.

Elden Ring wouldn't of got GoTY with an easy mode. Because people completely missing the point of what makes the games work would bring the score down.

You can say what negative thing you want about a game needing to be challenging to be good. But the game is 98% gameplay. You take away the challenge and you're just left with an underwhelming game where you walk through enemies while slapping them a couple times. The game needs those enemies to pose a threat to make the world actually feel dangerous and interesting. The game is literally only you and the enemies lol.

That being said. Id be interested in seeing how an Easy Mode is actually perceived if it happened. Maybe Im wrong. I don't think I am.

the easy mode is created, people complain the game is boring and has no story telling and is vague in telling you where to go. The same players leave.

theres technically a built in easy mode anyway with summoning.

Its funny in hindsight that gamers had it so good in the 6th gen that too many hack n slash games! was a real complaint people had. Not that the industry was only making hack n slash games - almost every genre in the medium was fairly saturated at the time - but that there were simply too many games of this particular genre.

a lot of classic games back then. Maybe i have just lived long enough to become cynical but roguelike, soulslike, 2d metroidvanias, and AAA open world game #115, or Sony exclusive story driven game that somehow feels even more soulless than the last one, seems to be all thats coming out lol.

I am well aware there is a lot more than that, it's just what seems to get the most attention

u can also save and quit and reload damn near anywhere that isn't a boss fight lol.

next souls game should have easy mode, ubisoft like open world, a compass, quest log, and if you die twice to a boss it should just insta kill it for you so you can move on

it's not coming and neither is an easy mode, sometimes games just aren't made for you, get over it.
