Disney's PK: Out of the Shadows (Gamecube)

At one point I decided I wanted to try and own every Gamecube game, but I stopped myself around 200. Now I'm actually trying to beat these games and I realize now that most of them are gonna suck like this one. I don't even remember where I bought this one but it was likely for $5

Fantasy Life (3DS)

So I think I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that this is my retroactive 2014 Game of the Year. Only major complaint I can think of is that I wish that each Life had a full quest and storyline outside of the initial tutorial mission.

Star Fox 64 3D (3DS)

Maybe it's because I played the vastly superior Rogue Squadron first, but I've never understood the hype for Star Fox. It's fine for what it is I guess.

Mario Party: The Top 100 (3DS)

They actually made a game worse than Island Tour and Star Rush

NHL 2004 (Gamecube)

The AI scoring in this game is fucking ridiculous. 28 players broke Gretzky's point record of 215.

Man I forgot how many of those blue coins were solely just to sell guides for the game. One of them requires you to spray a random wall for fuck's sake

Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer (3DS)

I know Animal Crossing is supposed to be a laid back series but this is on another level of laid back. What you do with design literally doesn't matter so long as you put the items on the checklist down.

Super Mario 64 (Switch)

Maybe it's because I only got this a few years into the N64's lifespan, but I've never been overly fond of it like others are.

Spyro: A Hero's Tail (Gamecube)

This was my first Spyro game I ever played and I enjoyed it for what it was. Would definitely be interested in going back and playing the previous games if I ever got around to getting copies of the games or if I didn't have a massive backlog as it is.

Blink minigames, Sparx minigames, the terrible ending, and the even worse 100% ending can fuck right off though.

Cars (Gamecube)

I own waaaaaay too many Gamecube games most of which are likely crap all because I at one point wanted to own every Gamecube and would buy whatever I could find at garage sales. This is the punishment I deserve for not filtering my purchases.

One notable thing about Cars is how the AI would be pretty close to until the last lap where they would then pretty much just give up and you'd win by like 30 seconds. Also a bit surprised that it's a sequel to the movie instead of just a re-telling like most movie games.

Fallout 3 (PS3)

I was originally planning to do a full playthrough of this, but then I remembered that I was playing the burning dumpster that's the PS3 version and just decided to go through the main quest before my file size could get any larger. I really need to play this on PC one of these days or at least get a computer that can play PC games

BioShock (PS3)

This has been a game that I've been trying to play multiple times over the past 7 years and every single time I dropped it like an hour into it. I finally decided to power through and I'm still absolutely disappointed with almost every aspect.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (360)

I'm pretty sure I was the only one in my high school who was looking forward to the single player more. Pretty sure that had to do with my dumpster fire of an internet back then

Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution (360)

While it is inferior in every way to the PC games it can be fun if you just want a quick and basic game.

Splatoon (Wii U)

One of my biggest gaming regrets is that I largely neglected Nintendo games for pretty much most of the 2010's. As a result I missed out on the prime of this fantastic game and also missed out on the Miiverse integration and Splatfests.

Theatrhythm Final Fantasy (3DS)

I know there's a lot more to it after you see the credits, but my touch screen protector is getting quite scratched up and it was affecting my slides. I'll probably come back to this once I replace my screen protector.

Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise (Switch)

I've beaten the first game many times and will likely play it again at some point in the future
I will never play this one again.

Corpse Party (3DS)

My main issue with horror games is that the moment they become even a little bit tedious is when they immediately take me out of any horror atmosphere they may have been trying to set up. More of a complaint of the genre than one for Corpse Party to be fair.

Stella Glow (3DS)

While I immensely enjoyed it the biggest complaint I have is that speed is BY FAR the most important stat for a unit. This pretty much means that half of the units are pointless and every single person will end up most likely using the same group of characters on their playthrough.

Ring Fit Adventure (Switch)

I can't believe it took this long for someone to finally make a fitness game into an actual game. Even bigger shock is that it's pretty good. Have two big complaints about it though

1. Certain workouts are objectively better in-game meaning you'll have to handicap yourself to get a balanced workout. Mid to end game consists of a lot of squats due to how easy they are to get and how hilariously OP they are for when you get them.
2. Smoothies completely break any sort of difficulty and you have to self limit yourself if you want any sort of challenge.

Mario Golf: World Tour (3DS)

So one of the cool things is that you can unlock various pieces of equipment that increases your Mii's stats to make tournaments easier. The bad thing though is that there are only three tournaments in single player and they can all easily be beaten with the default equipment. I'm guessing most of that was supposed to be for the now dead multiplayer.

Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix HD (PS3)

Playing through these Disney worlds again reminds me of how horrible they were in III

I had to force myself to stop doing that because I knew I was going to burnout if I didn't. Had to take a multi week break around Alltrades because of it. Still tried my best to speak to as many people as possible, but I wasn't running back to Estard as much to see if someone had something new to say every time.

Shovel Knight (3DS)

I'm either not as good at video games anymore or I'm a greedy fucking asshole who keeps dying to try and save my lost moneybags. Maybe a bit of both

Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past (3DS)

Man people weren't lying when they said this game is long. Almost completely burnt myself out at Alltrades Abbey. I guess it doesn't help that I'm the kind of person who constantly likes to talk to NPCs to see what new stuff they have to say and holy shit does this game have a lot of that. I think I finished at around 85 hours.

Extremely easy as long as you follow the right 3DS Guide

This game feels like they remembered to put in all the side content of a Mario Party game and only after they went gold did they finally remember that they didn't put in the main part of the game.

Deadly Premonition: Origins (Switch)

Man I forgot how much this game railroads you onto the main plot once you hit a certain. But in good news I found out that each chapter has its own unique lunchroom scene.

New Super Mario Bros. 2 (3DS)

I wonder how many people accidentally skipped most of the worlds like I did. Strange how you're able to not beat a single world before the final one if you want to, but I guess it was the same with Super Mario Bros.

The Yacht Dice CPU has to be one of the dumbest I've ever seen. It rolled four 5's and a 6 on its first roll, kept three of the 5's, and tried to roll more 5's after that on its next two rolls.

I finally got over 300 points on the turtle slide puzzle. Still ended up with a 1 star rating but WHO FUCKING CARES I BEAT IT

I'm already naturally bad at slide puzzles so throwing in a timed element is truly hell on earth
