I don't know maybe it's because I haven't played against another person in almost 10 years, but I just find hard to care about Smash and find it incredibly overrated. Roster speculation is cancerous hell too.

So while this is an extremely good and extremely underappreciated game, there are two complaints I have about it.

First is the fact that while shifting is a great mechanic, it quickly boils down into almost every mission turning into shifting into oncoming traffic and crashing into your opponents/enemies. Second is that the plot feels rushed as there are characters who show up, seem like they might be important and then just never appear again.

Still a game I'd recommend to anyone assuming you can find a copy somewhere.

It definitely has potential to be a fantastic Pokemon spinoff series, but I don't see them ever making the games more complex or difficult because it is a Pokemon game and when the hell has a Pokemon game ever been hard? Outside of Mystery Dungeon postgame content of course

So I was having a blast with this game going through the caves, upgrading my shit, and becoming friends with the villagers. Wasn't really understanding why so many people say it's hard to come back to this game aside from the very lacking dialogue. That's when I hit the game halting plot point known as Misty Bloom Cave which is only accessible in Winter. I was in early Summer. Completely killed any enjoyment I had at that point.

I usually consider an Animal Crossing game beat once I get all the house upgrades, but this one had somewhat of a plot line for a bit and I reached the end of it earlier today. Not sure how I feel about it overall because while it is a very enjoyable game I can't help but feel that it's an incomplete one.

My dad recently started playing this again and I got the urge to give it another playthrough too. Ended up knocking it out in a few hours since I still know where everything is in the first quest. Fringe top 10 Zelda game
