Imaginary Property laws are incredibly fucking stupid and the music industry is among the worst offenders. It's gotten worse with AI because they're a bunch of technologically illiterate dumbfucks who think AI is some magical thing that can easily and accurately pick out music. They don't give a shit about the many false positives. They like to pretend they're doing it for the artists too, even though the industry fatcats pocket almost everything while the artists themselves make fractions of a fraction of penny per listen.

It's high sugar vs high saturated fat and sugar
The sugar content is clearly much higher with the cereal (plus milk, which has a lot of sugar on its own). Eggs, sausage, tomatoes, beans, and fish all have decent nutrition to them. For nutrition, the cereal has added minerals, at best, which aren't even processed well within the body, so it's mostly just empty calories.

I may be turning the big 3-0 in a little over a month, but I'm no boomer lmao.

I think you fundamentally misunderstand the difference between our views. Because it's not one of ideals, but of strategy. It's just very unlikely that pushing for large change and only accepting large change is winning way to make systemic changes. For many reasons. If you want progressive ideals, the way to fight for them successfully is to accept every shift to the left as a win. And to push and fight for every one of those shifts, even if they're small.
It's not about only accepting large change. It's about pushing for large change and taking as much as you can get. Your strategy is to timidly tip-toe in, with hat in hand, and beg for itty-bitty change, then get denied even that. When you negotiate, you're supposed to ask for more than what you're willing to settle on. Republicans understand this, which is why the country has kept shifting to the right for decades and decades. Keep this up and you're only going to lose. The current democrat strategy is "harm reduction" i.e. still lose, but lose a bit less. The direction is the same. We have to turn this around.

Just about every major political figure who advocated for and achieved real positive change did so in hopes that their children would have a better future. That's just how the world works.

That doesn't mean you give up on radical change, it means you don't give up just because the fight is hard. Expecting progressive ideals to be handed to you on a silver platter is delusional.
They advocated for and achieved real positive change in the hopes that they could enjoy them AND that their children could as well. Don't lecture me on how the world works. There was nothing stopping the legalization of gay marriage. It was a hard and long-fought battle, but after the key ruling it suddenly was the mainstream.

Progress takes forever because those in power want to keep the status quo. That's the way they want you to believe the world works because they don't want you to change the power structure. Social issues like gay marriage and abortion are fought and argued about for eternity because the ultimate topic they don't want discussed is the hierarchy and who's on top. Obviously it's very hard to make change because those on top keep it that way. No one is saying they expect things given to them on a silver platter. You sound like a conservative ranting about "entitled" people. You fit the 30 year old boomer label to a T.

I remember when I was in middle school and high school and I was just as insufferable.

Eventually you realize that the world is very complicated, and instead of fighting for the perfect you should be fighting for the good and aspire towards the perfect.

Shit sucks, but you can make it suck less over time. Viewing things with the ideal as a comparison just makes you unproductive.
What's more insufferable are 30 year old boomers who think they're mature for giving up and accepting the raw deal everyone is being given. Keep preaching the line of "you can make it suck less over time" to the millions of Americans living paycheck to paycheck under Bush, Obama, Trump, and now Biden. They'll be long dead before any of this "sucks less over time".

If the fed wasn't propping up the stock market with trillions of dollars and over a decade of near-zero interest rates, these investing geniuses would be losing their shit.

The common knowledge used to be "stick it in a bank and grow your money through interest". Now it's "stick it in index funds and grow your money through the returns". It's smart advice until the system is flipped on its head. Just like it was "buy the biggest amount of house that you can" before 2008.
