A couple times yeah. It pretty much got linger with every level of schooling though.

Elementary school was about 15 minutes away, so that was an easy one.

Middle School was about 30, so whenever I had something to do after school I would just walk back.

Thanks to sports I usually had rides back up until I could drive myself during highschool but I ended up walking back 2 or 3 times as a freshman. It was about an hour so I tried to avoid that one.

Saving anywhere please. It's the best option for trying out different routes or options and also convenient.

For example, when you're playing a game with saving points on a tight schedule (say in between classes) you have to estimate if you have enough time to get to the next point or not, and usually gotta stop earlier. With that said, I don't mind saving points if the game has a suspend save feature so I can stop at any time.

I absolutely love Rune Factory. In my top 5 favorites probably.

Rf4 was really great though. It's a shame the series is pretty much dead now, but at least 4 has great replayability.

I still remember doing all of those link trades in RF1 for that level 80 lover snapper though...

The one about the pain allowing you to see more. I think being cynical and/or somber allows you to see the reality of things (which is part of the reason breaking out of a slump is so hard).

With that said, too much emotional trauma is just as blinding as not enough.

Yeah I'm a fan (so long as we're talking about the teams/sport itself rather than the literal organization).

Playing the sport makes you appreciate it a heck of a lot more though.

Also, I get that it's probably just some b8, but not all football players are "dumb jocks." I only play college football but I definitely wouldn't call myself or several of my buddies dumb jocks.

I'm not a demonologist by any means, but I've researched a lot of various topics for writing/gming. There's a grimoire called the Ars Goetia that describes various demons and their rankings.

Several of the Demons it describes can be summoned for relatively benign purposes.

But you gotta take that with a grain of salt. A tome by people who want to summon demons, for people who want to summon demons probably isn't going to be as negative on them.

With that said, your conventional demons are mischievous or outright cruel. If a culture wanted to make positive folklore or stories about a Supernatural creature it wouldn't use a demon.

The only good "demon" I can think of is Sun Wukong. And even then, he was coerced into helping the priest.

Tl;dr- Demons are bad because they are classically used almost explicitly as a means for bad things to happen
