I should have ranked Comfey a little higher (80s), but the bottom of my list was all messed up by then so I was trying to throw together everything that I missed. It's still boring regardless.

Joltik is the most gross Pokemon to me. If I saw one in real life I'd actually get the fuck away from it and try not to look at it. IIRC I ranked it dead last in gen 5 (I didn't submit my list here but I did make one).

Raticate-A - I would have liked it better if it were more like a dark version of the old Raticate. The extra fatness was unnecessary, and they somehow took a Pokemon with horrible stats and redistributed them in an even worse way.

Persian-A - Fur Coat is great. Persian is also fast enough to do some tricky stuff with Parting Shot and some other status moves. I don't like the head either but I don't care what it looks like when it can do unique things like that.

Bruxish - It's a cool tropical fish befitting of the island setting. I don't get people's criticism of the design, it looks fine to me.

I'm now realizing how many writeups I skipped because I was rushing. I had (short) things to say about Persian, Raticate, and Bruxish. Oh well, I'm really in this for my favorites and the top half of my list (and their writeups). The bottom of my list was kind of messed up anyway after I realized that the sorter had skipped a few Pokemon after I started writing my list. Most of my bottom 20 are sort of mushed together.

TopicWhat's the basis for your user name(s) here on GameFAQs?
-hotdogturtle--
06/19/17 10:16:44 PM

It was originally my AIM screenname, created in (roughly) 2000. I didn't have any cool sounding ideas, so I combined a food and an animal that I liked.

My original 2002 GameFAQs account used the same name because I still couldn't think of anything better, so I decided to just use the one name that I already had already come up with. I figured that this would be a placeholder and I'd eventually come up with a different screenname and start using it on new sites going forward. Of course that never happened and I used hotdogturtle on more sites and for long enough that it become my internet identity.

This account has 3 hyphens because after I got banned, -hotdogturtle- was an exiting alt that got banned with it, and both versions with 1 hyphen on either side got Read-Only'd when I tried making them immediately after getting banned. This was the least-bad looking permutation that I could think of, because I figured that most people wouldn't read the very end of the name anyway (and it's true, countless people have missed the second hyphen at the end).

This makes 105 altogether for a ranking on the larger side! Please try to use my spreadsheet as then I can confirm all names are spelled correctly which greatly reduces the amount of work i have to do to bring you your rankings. If you don't use my spreadsheet, remember to check that you have 105 Pokemon, that every Pokemon has a unique rank and that all 105 numbers are used. There's always one.

That kinda gave off the impression that US/UM might not even have the same level of difference as the traditional third version, but we'll see. And now it's two versions, lol.

There are no more "traditional third versions". They haven't made one of those in 8.5 years across 3 generations. People need to let go of this concept already.

And all of the content in the video, despite being less than a minute long, is already new stuff that wasn't in SM, so I don't know how you can make that comparison.

Iggy's Reckin' Balls

I always saw this on the shelf at Hollywood Video so I finally rented it one time out of curiosity. I thought it was awesome so I showed my friend and he got into it too. Crazy, hectic, fun multiplayer. We rented it a bunch more times in the next few months. Then he was having this party or something at his house, and we kept talking it up to everyone there about how it was this amazing unknown game that they're gonna love. We tried it with everyone (4P multiplayer) and no one else there "got" it at all and thought we were crazy. But the two of us kept having fun with it the whole time.

Beatle Adventure Racing (N64) - you raced as Beatles and tracks had tons of shortcuts. This was great.

Also this game was a fucking incredible racing game with unprecedented long tracks. They really lived up to the "adventure" in the title, it almost felt like an open exploration game at times even though you were on a course. There were shortcuts EVERYWHERE, to the degree where if you were driving on the main road at any point you were probably missing some hidden secret off to the side.

Also had some kind of decent multiplayer although I don't remember anything about it.
