Okay...then what makes something a JRPG, and why should those games be included?
Thanks for asking because I can repeat my diatribe about JRPG vs WRPG again.

JRPG is an RPG where the player characters are not defined by the player, they are written by the writers, and you follow their story. WRPG is when the character is an avatar of the player, customized and defined by the player. It is fundamentally a distinction in narrative aesthetic, not gameplay.

This is why Mass Effect obviously feels like a JRPG (even though there's a few branching paths, each is still defined by a writer, not the player) and Dark Souls is obviously feels like a WRPG.

The more complicated question is what exactly is an RPG. Is KH really an RPG? Is Zelda really not an RPG? Call of Duty has more RPG mechanics than FFXVI, and so on

CrossCode and Chained Echoes feel very WRPG, mostly because they're good games. But I would definitely vote for them. CE is pretty easy to argue as a JRPG since it's basically Suikoden, but then you could argue Suikoden is WRPG ish.

I don't know why those summaries always exclude the much stronger case of Virginia Giuffre, who achieved serious legal action against Prince Andrew and is the reason Ghislaine got convicted. And the obvious fact that all that happened at Mar a Lago for years/decades.

While I'm not saying it's impossible for a sufficiently advanced AI to find solutions that humans can't find, I don't believe the capitalist oligarchs would be willing to invest in solutions without a financial motivation.
Google has been doing it for 10 years with Deepmind and it's paid off massively.

Imagine 5 years from now, when Deepmind has 10-100 new scientific discoveries under its belt, and OpenAI still has 0. How could anyone continue to invest in OpenAI? Conversely, how could you NOT invest in Deepmind? That's the crash scenario. Similar to dotcom, all the big players will die, but some of the small and mediums stick around and become the long-term winners.

That crash will happen and it's sorely needed. It will happen the instant the cheap money dries up. The tech bros are desperately trying to manipulate Trump to drop interest rates back down to extend the gravy train but it's not working, he's too distracted by trans people and flight logs. Pretty sad.

Oh another thing about the AI bubble bursting. You might not realize this if you're not in the SF scene, but the goal of AI is not necessarily AGI and robots and such. It's fusion energy. The idea is that humans cannot figure it out, but a sufficiently powerful AI could. Even if the AI is not AGI, it's terrible at playing Zelda and writing song lyrics, whatever, it doesn't matter as long as it can come up with new working ideas that lead to fusion energy. Then, that cheap energy can be used to develop 1000x more powerful AIs, and solve pretty much all the other problems in the world, then we achieve luxury space communism. It's as "simple" as that.

So, if you treat AI like a stepping stone to Star Trek utopia, how much would you value it? Even if it only has a 1% chance of success? It's priceless.

They didn't even do shit for Jan 6. Biden administration and Merrick Garland wanted to pretend that things were normal and could be swept under the rug by being nice to Republicans.
It's worse than that. When Democrats win they literally believe they will never lose an election ever again. They always say "this time it's different". It was worse with Biden since he had absolutely dominated Trump popularly and electorally. They really thought they killed Trumpism there.

So they operate like they can just fix things next time. No urgency required. If we end up having another presidential election and Ds win, they certainly will not learn, they will only feel vindicated in their lethargy.

I think if Trump was on the list, it would have come out when Biden was president so he couldnt get elected.
This has always been a ridiculous idea because like, how partisan of an issue do you really think this is? Trump and the Clintons are the 2 biggest friends of Epstein. How can it possibly be a slam dunk for ANYONE to release the truth?

It's always been the case, and will continue to be the case, that a ton of really powerful and sympathetic people will be destroyed by this truth. There will probably be some innocent collateral damage too, but even ignoring that, the truth itself is too hard for anyone in a position of power to accept. Same with the truths about Japanese internment, Native American history, etc. Everyone involved needs to be gone, and then it will be comfortable to reveal the truth, and we'll all have to act surprised.

In the mean time, we'll have to be ruled by the pedophile psychos.

Seymour's music is way more evil than his look. I like that he's another race so his look is relatively explainable. There's many NPCs who look similar to him but are just normal people.

I also love how much they subvert the obvious fact that he's Kefka of the game. You could legitimately believe at multiple points that he's actually on your side (even while being obviously evil).

Now, there HAVE actually been advancements from generative AI. Exactly 2, both from Deepmind. AlphaFold pretty much solved protein folding, which is a generational leap in science that will probably define the 21st century. And then they just released AlphaEvolve which found a faster way to multiple some matrices.

Neither of these make profit, they are purely research wins, and Deepmind is pretty much the only one actually interested in this and competent enough to make progress in it. Carmack is also trying but has shown nothing.

So you do have to admit that generative AI has advanced science. It has happened and will continue to happen. But also 100% of those advancements come from a small team in London, and it would be very fair to ignore ALL the other AI economics hype, including the thousands of companies with trillions in funding in San Fran which have produced 0 net value.

The stuff that outputs text is also starting to get integrated with other pattern-seeking tools that are less human-comprehensible in their generation (lots of advertising and data-harvesting, but also a lot of medical and other research tools), to the point where AI are starting to train other AI, and I'd guess they're about 5-10 years away (I am being a very conservative estimator here) from having safeguards to prevent "objective" errors from compounding, in the way that current models can't.
I'm curious where you get your AI knowledge from because no one would say this. Using AI to train only makes it worse. It basically only works with physical models, which is not generalizable. There's a very real possibility that 2023 datasets for text and images are the peak in accuracy because everything since then is poisoned. We would need a whole different architecture than LLM to avoid that issue, which has no timeline (although physical simulation is the most promising lead).

No LLM has made money yet. That's a fact. Manufacturers and energy company have, but no company at the model training level or higher has shown any path to profitability.

That doesn't mean it will go away. Amazon never made money until they launched AWS like 10 years later. Uber and such never made money until recently when they jacked up prices. It's very possible that some LLM finds a way to make money like that, which is distinctly different from the economics of NFTs. It just means that all the money in it right now is cheap pre-covid money, and they hope it will pay off before it dries up.

I never had those issues. If the gun is holstered (right dpad) then L2 will not aim it. Sometimes when you lose all your ammo or get knocked down it holsters the gun so you have to take it out again. Also if the gun is in a box he has to break it out of the box which takes a few seconds.

I beat that boss first try with like 30% damage anyway. Still didn't like it, pretty much filler content that will never reach the prestige of an MGS boss fight.
