Why does Russia get a vote in "should we condemn the war in Ukraine?"

They're the ones invading - it really seems like they should be forced to at least abstain from this vote.

Its a choice to start working for the IRS in October 2024, when Trump has been targeting the IRS for close to a decade now.

This. it was basically DOA because of stuff like the proprietary memory cards, and then when it didn't take off anyways Sony just sort of dropped it.

A shame, Vita was such a great system. It's still my preferred way of playing Stardew Valley (even though it's like a 5 year old version). Would've loved seeing that Bioshock Vita game we were supposed to get.

When Rock wants to act, he can deliver. Its just he so rarely does, instead choosing to just rely on being charismatic to drive the whole thing, which kind of works when he's in silly action movies, but that's pretty much it.

Yeah, I haven't bought a game full price in a really long time because of this.

Most of Trump's big business ventures were done in the mid-late 80s, so it wouldn't be impossible to suggest Trump had some Soviet funding. Could also explain why they all collapsed in the early 90s when the Soviet Union started properly collapsing. Though this could also just easily be "why this story is set in 1987"

While a lot of this could line up suspiciously well, its also just as easy to come to the conclusion Trump is a stupid businessman who had a lot of inherited wealth to make sure he never actually failed. The obvious corruption makes literally any story of Trump being recruited by foreign powers seem feasible.

I don't even think there's ever been a Hooters near me. ngl I was like 30% sure Hooters was just like, a inside-joke that spread too far and not actually a real thing.

If LZA is coming out at the end of the year, I could also see some kind of spin off game announced for like May/June to keep interest up. I think we're mad overdue for a Pokemon Racing Game (at least, a competent one).

I've given up on another Let's Go game, but it would be fun - it's clearly the most fun GF had with a lot of the graphics basically since they moved to 3D. Maybe another outsourced remake for Gen 5 (or even skip it and go gen 6 to fit in with LZA)

But don't forget, it'll be 30 minutes long, and at least 20 of them will be Pokemon Go related, Pokemon Cafe Mix related, Pokemon Masters EX related, Pokemon TCGP related, and whatever ones I'm probably still missing.

I really liked the Craig bonds. Even the bad ones felt like something interesting that didn't land, and it always had a good enough cast to carry the stupid decisions otherwise.

If you want a tablet that's actually good, I think you need to spend at least base iPad levels. There's nothing good close to the like $100 bucks the Kindle Fire tablets are.

I have a Samsung A8 tablet that's... fine. It runs smooth once its like, actually on, and I haven't had trouble with the memory card formatting.I spent about $250 CDN on it like a year or two ago and It works fantastic for reading or movies, but I don't do anything else with it. You could probably do all the regular tablet stuff on it without much issue.

I don't think there are many available options for "small tablet", much less in the budget range. Maybe you could buy an old "XL" phone that has like a ~6 inch screen for pretty cheap and it should run well.

They won't uphold anything - but a ceasefire will likely happen where it's sort of a "worst case scenario" for Ukraine. Where Ukraine has to agree to never join NATO, and can't re-arm, and gives up all the territory Russia took, etc..., and in exchange Russia will have lifted sanctions.

Then like a week and a half later Russia will just invade again, except the US will refuse to put any sanctions on Russia. Win-win-win for Russia, lose for literally everyone else.

It'll be 12 years from now, Biden will have been dead for 10 years, and an AI VoiceOver on the corpse of Donald Trump will be blaming Biden for the 5,000% hyperinflation that happened last week because Musk decided to put an extra zero on some financial statement in the treasury and the currency collapsed again.

Some cause for concern is 4 of those cases say they were vaccinated. They could be lying, however. You never know.

Part of the way vaccines work is also from everyone getting them. By themselves, its not 100% protection from possibly contracting the disease.

There are plenty of ways to easily give it trample/haste which would OHKO a player immediately, and especially at lower power tables (like using pre-made decks or really casual players) there isn't a huge amount of spot removal, meaning it would be much harder to actually deal with it at the speed that may be needed.

The economy isn't really based on anything real anymore. Its based what rich idiots think the vibes are. So as long as we keep getting "gonna change the game" new things like AI or whatever, numbers will keep going up, and it doesn't really matter that there's nothing really functioning on the bottom anymore.

At my school, OC1 was a lot harder, because you only took OC2 if you had already passed the "weed out" course, and therefore the class could chill out a bit. Also you had already known the real fundamental bits from the first course, so instead of learning a lot of stuff from scratch, you were building on stuff you already knew.

For most of those hard classes, did you think the majority of the profs for them, were good profs? Have heard others say the quality of your prof is extremely important.

It's important to note that University Profs are researchers first, and teachers second. So you will 100% have profs that are simply weak as teachers - and some that literally don't care. As a prof, you can reach out to the textbook people, and they can provide you literally everything - the textbook, any assignments, lecture slides, midterms, etc... With courses like this (you can usually tell after you've had a few) that you can basically buy the textbook and do the course yourself.

It's usually helpful to check something like ratemyprof, than increase the negative scores by like 30% (and the opposite with the positive ones). Sometimes you can't take a different prof, but it helps knowing what you'll need going in.

My Uni offered Organic Chemistry across a month in the Spring/Summer terms, and had all the fun of 6 hours of lecture + 2 labs every week + literally just not enough time to cover it all so you have to learn like 1/4 the class on your own time.

But you could finish the class in a month - so it wasn't that unpopular.

tbf, it made sense at the time - Musk is a super obnoxious loser and Trump is pretty notorious for the slightest of inconveniences. Before Trump was inagurated we were also getting a bunch of stories about how Trump was getting tired of Musk.

But what we didn't expect, and a sharp difference from Trump's 2016-2020 presidency, is that Trump is so much more obviously bought here - like he's not piloting this ship. He doesn't even get a real say where it goes, he's the ****ing mascot and gets to have everyone tell him he's very smart and the special-est boy.

If Trump had his say, we might have seen him kick Musk to the curb for taking too much attention from himself. But Trump doesn't have his say right now, so Musk gets to stick around and destroy America for the lolz.

Currently, but I've had airpods with my previous Android phone - with an Android they are effectively bluetooth earbuds, and if you have the "normal" airpods - the only thing you really miss is the easy transition between devices (which I honestly don't like) and them automatically pausing when you take them out of your ears.

Personally, I've had very little success with non-apple wireless earbuds - in that its very rare for me to find a pair that last more than a month - and I've tried similarly priced ones to Apple's. I'm confident this is largely bad luck on my part, but even with an Android, Airpods are still a good choice. You can probably find used ones for ~100$ which is just good compared to the other things in that price range.

They're like every other apple product - They kind of just work and they work pretty well. On Android they are effectively any other bluetooth earbuds. I had bad luck with like, 6 different bluetooth earbuds barely surviving with me before I got AirPods and they just work really well.

If you're comparing with other earbuds in the same price range, they're still on the good end, but you can probably find other earbuds that are just as good, and you might find better.

Organic Chemistry is a totally legit field, it just suffers from being used as the "is this really what you want to do?" course at a lot of places.

And having that weed-out course I did really poorly in did help me sort of re-focus the stuff I wanted to do, and it led to me changing my program to something that I was a bit better suited for (not that big of a change, but I didn't need to take Organic again).

In my Uni, Organic Chemistry was basically the "weed out course" for like, everyone in the general life sciences and its related subjects. So it was very intentionally designed that you would struggle in it. IIRC When I took it, too many people passed the first mid-term, so the prof made it worse.

Supposedly, the later Org. classes chilled out a bit, once 90% of the class decided to not take the more advanced courses.

Musk probably hates veterans. Why would he ever be supportive of someone who wanted to do something for the benefit of others?

Something some modern day people seem to not realize is that conquering territory to gain resources isn't really a viable thing for increasing the power of a nation anymore due to how warfare has changed.

Canada wouldn't have to win outright against the states. We would just have to make it too costly to keep up the engagement. I remind you canada isn't some third world country. We have a (smaller) navy that could harass shipping lanes, aircraft, the homefield advantage due to how the territory of the land is not to mention our various allies.

And on top of all that, while we do not possess nukes, we have a nuclear program that possesses everything it needs to build nukes in short order if absolutely necessary.

This is why even dumbass Donald is trying to get us economically, not militarily.

Don't forget Trump is in the middle of gutting every piece of administration in the country, and either throwing the whole thing out, or replacing it with a stupid loyalist who doesn't understand the basics of the job.

Logistics are the things that win wars, and Trump is getting rid of as much of that as he can.

IIRC, after WWII, when they tried to de-nazify the nazis still around who like, grew up in the nazi indoctrination, they basically failed? Putting paywalls up is a surefire way to tank your audience. And we've seen from Twitter/X that people are willing to put up with a lot as long as they don't need to majorly change any habits.
