The fourth one wasn't that great either but it's at least better than A Good Day. IIRC there was talks of a 5th movie, with McTiernan possibly directing. The script was something about McClane returning to Nakatomi for an anniversary of what happened in the first movie and then everything goes to hell again. IMO, the problem is that Endgame wrapped things up so nicely and was such a journey that everything after it felt pointless.
