...here's something that bothers me immensely

So the representatives or the senators (depending on the hearing) all start in their chamber and get 5 minutes each to ask questions or make statements or whatever.

But it really bothers me that 9 times out of 10, once the politician is done with their 5 minutes, they just.....fucking leave. They get up, their aides go with them, and they never come back. They don't hear the answers to anyone else's questions. And then near the end of the hearing, there are like 3 people left in the chamber.

It's such a perfect encapsulation of why the US government sucks and is beyond broken. ALl these asshats care about is their 5 minutes of sound bites and then they fuck off to go interview on Fox News or CNN or whatever.

Imagine being a witness at one of these clown shows
