I was yesterday years old when I realised that, due to Inazuman (Japanese) naming conventions, Yae Miko's name isn't Yae Miko but rather Miko Yae.

...my worldview has been shattered...
You mean that her given name is Miko and her family name is Yae? Yes, that's why you'll notice that people speaking informally, like Paimon or Ei, always call her Miko, and Yae is only used by people calling her "Lady Yae," or something.

Similarly, even though the gaming community always calls her Kuki, you'll pretty much never hear anyone in game calling her that. Itto and all her other friends call her Shinobu.

Well, C6 of any 5 star limited character is overkill... On the other hand, if you like Baizhu enough to get C5, why wouldn't you go that extra little bit and get C6?

So as a returning player, Ive been looking at what Im lacking and trying to plan out wish usage. I went for (and got) the bow because Ganyu is one of my maxed out characters and it seems really good for her. All of my other weapons are pre Arataki/Baizhu/Shenhe/Yae, but I was a dolphin and have most of them. So if there are others that are distinctly potent I should keep an eye out for, I would appreciate a heads up. Im also planning to aim for Navia to strengthen my Geo, and Nahida for Dendro (along with 4*s).
I mean any archon is going to be a big boon. So obviously Nahida and Furina.

Nahida needs other characters who can take advantage of dendro reactions. That's a loooong thing to get into so maybe someone else can get into it or give you a link.

Furina is a little simpler--she just needs healing. The way she works is, she drains half of everyone's HP and if you heal everyone, that will give them a MASSIVE damage buff. And it stacks up more based on the number of people you heal. So strong, party-wide healing is a must. So Jean works great with her. Qiqi isn't bad but she gets overshadowed by other healers due to her damage. Noelle is surprisingly good though.

The new characters that fit her the most are Charlotte, Xianyun, and Baizhu. Charlotte needs C6 to be really good by herself, but can work well at lower cons if you pair her with a medium-rate healer like Yao Yao, Bennett, or even Barbara.

Xianyun is great but she also buffs plunging attacks so pair her up with someone who's good at that for best results (Diluc can be amazing, for example). But if you don't like plunging attacks, she's not a good choice.

Baizhu is very versatile and the most powerful healer. He will give you a lot of good options in the future because he works well with both Nahida AND Furina. I highly recommend pulling on his banner if you're not saving for anyone else and want to use archons in the future.

There's no way to make her lose her money, and she'd spend the rest of her life complaining as loudly as possible about being canceled (with conservatives platforming her) if the franchise actually lost relevance.
Also they are popular all over the world, and the attitudes vary widely from culture to culture. Some are fine with her transphobia, or even agree with it. Some countries don't know about it because even if it's popular no one is interested in what the author does so nobody hears about it. And in a lot of cultures, people just don't care about things like whether things they buy are supporting an odious person or cause. They just buy what they like and don't think beyond that.

What I'm saying is, expecting worldwide sales to drop significantly because of this is a pipe dream.

We have also seen her being friendly with a man who got in trouble over revenge porn.
Seriously, this. "JK Rowling hates men" is the kind of dumb, unsubstantiated bullshit the right wing used to say when they thought she disagreed with them on everything. It has no real evidence to back it up, and as an explanation for her transphobia it makes no sense because she hates trans men too.

There's no need to try and explain or analyze it. It's very simple. JK Rowling is bigoted against trans people, that's all there is to it.

Really, always? Was not that sure
Not always, but a lot. One of the big reasons is people coming out of the woodwork to demand money from you because you have so much now. Being printed in the newspaper makes this even worse, because everyone in the neighborhood is guaranteed to know. And a lot of times con artists will go to lottery winners' houses pretending to be distant relatives or old friends that they haven't seen in a long time. Even if you knew they were lying immediately, imagine how unpleasant it would be to deal with that!

Which is why it is ridiculous and cruel to force winners to be printed--with photos, no less--in the newspaper. Or even worse, go on TV.

Another reason is that most people who win don't know anything about financial planning so they overspend and run out after a few years. For example, they may find themselves with no money in their bank account and a huge mansion with a mortgage they can't pay. So if you do ever win, make sure you have an investment plan and calculate how much you can spend every year without running out.

Basically he kept his mouth shut cause he cared enough to not get her in trouble.
Yeah basically the only thing keeping a boy that age from talking about it is him being willing to protect the teacher. He will get nothing but positive responses from other people.

Whereas a girl will worry about being slut shamed or blamed. Even when the girl is a minor, it's depressingly common. I heard a sex worker talk about getting groomed and sexually assaulted by a police officer starting at the age of ten, and she said part of the reason she never told anyone was because of a girl a year or two older who was sexually abused and after the guy went to jail she got called a "homewrecker" and was reviled by all the other kids in her class.

I also have a memory of my second year in high school. Because the class was so big there were a few super un-cool kids who were actually below me in the social strata.

In the free period after lunch I was hanging out in the gym, sitting on the bleachers, and one of them was shooting baskets and just REALLY bad at it, I mean making a real fool of himself, just watching him made me cringe a little. A bunch of other kids were making fun of him, and I thought of joining in... then pictured myself doing that, being no better than the kids who had bullied me. And even though he was an annoying little shit who had never been remotely nice to me, I knew I never wanted to be someone who picked on those weaker than me. I just walked away.

I was no hero. I sure wasn't brave enough to stick up for him. But I wasn't going to join in on kicking him when he was down.

In high school? Nope. In fact I don't know if I ever met him after graduating grade school. And I made another, nerdier friend. We were never as close but at least what I had with my second friend was genuine.

As for my third grade "best friend," I have no idea what happened to him. And I don't really care either. I don't hate him or anything, I mean we were kids and I do understand it. If I bumped into him we would probably just exchange cordial, slightly awkward greetings and that would be it. Maybe he changed. If he bacame a good person and he's happy, good for him I guess. Although if I found out he was the type who betrayed people around him I sure wouldn't be surprised.

Throughout middle school and the first two years of high school. I think my worst memory was when the bullying started. Up until third grade there was really no bullying. There was this one kid who was best friends with me in third grade--we were inseparable all year. We went to each others' houses almost every day, and we'd always say how we were best friends forever.

Then fourth grade started, and immediately things were different. We started separating into a social hierarchy and because of my big nerdy glasses and general awkwardness, I was with three or four kids at the bottom. One day when a bunch of kids were picking on me, and I went to my "best friend" hoping he would stick up for me, he literally was like "You're not my friend!" and joined them in picking on me, and one of those kids became his new best friend.

I know it was self preservation--he didn't want me to drag him down, so he attacked me to keep himself out of the "nerd" group. I understand it. But still... says a lot about loyalty. I feel sure I would never have done the same if the situation were reversed.
