Okay, let me clarify on his behalf:

He's referring to Biden running for President in 2020. Biden is 4 years older than Trump, and Biden was therefore the same age that Trump is now when he "first ran" for his first successful term as president.

My point is there needs to be some hard, indisputable facts and evidence used. Attacking his personality, attacking his intelligence, attacking his mental competence, all of that will fail. Hammer in the facts, hammer in the evidence, make it abundantly clear that Trump is willing and able to commit crimes.

Compare it to all the times he said he'd respect election results the first time around, how he'd have peacefully transferred power, etc. Remind people what he used to say, versus what he says and does now. That's what talked me out of supporting him--seeing the contradictions, seeing the childishness, watching the illusion of a resilient and 'honest' person come down in a shower of directly contrary actions.

That might not work, either. Not everybody is willing to actually examine evidence and make the right choice. Some people will just tell you it's all lies (like my Dad tells me when I bring up Trump's criminal cases), but a few might actually see it for what it is.

Whether or not he's a "scholar," his supporters are going to vote for him as if he is one. That's why this line of attack is pointless and not worth the effort. You're not going to convince his supporters that he's losing his mind; it's just not going to happen.

And you are! I used to support Trump. I know exactly how it feels to be swept in by his rhetoric and stage presence. I speak from experience when I say "his supporters are not going to be swayed by minor gaffes and mispronunciations."

Here or there, his supporters' votes count just as much as his opponents' do. Tons of people support Trump despite the awful things he has said and done. I'm just trying to be helpful--focusing on a "mental competence" battle is going to come up with Biden on the losing side. Just my opinion on the matter, speaking as a former Trump supporter.

But if you directly compare Trump's gaffes with Biden's, Biden comes across like somebody's confused grandpa, whereas Trump comes across as somebody's loud (and likely racist) Uncle who sometimes stumbles over his words but doesn't let it stop him from saying crazy shit at Thanksgiving.

I used to be one. I know how his supporters are going to react to this line of attack--it didn't work in 2016, it won't work this time. If you want Biden to win, there needs to be another avenue of attack. Fixate a lot more on the illegal shit Trump has done, focus less on "he's super dumb," because you're not going to sway his supporters that way.

Come prepared with facts and citations about his illegal activities (the more recent, the better).

He's saying things, it's just not what you think he should be saying. He's talking to his supporters and they're eating it up. If you approach one of his supporters and say something like "wow he's losing his mind, he's even worse than Biden," they're going to laugh at you and tell you that you're wrong.

I'm just saying that it's a losing prospect to attack Trump based on mental fortitude when his opponent is Biden. To most observers who aren't strongly biased in either direction, it's pretty clear that Biden has a harder time speaking straight and keeping his thoughts in order.

Trump can still speak very clearly and with energy. You really shouldn't fixate on flimsy narratives. It does no favors to your cause.

I want Trump to lose, but as I watch from the middle I can plainly see how he gains so much ground. His opponents treat him like he's easy to beat, and they insist on nothing-victories. This is almost exactly what happened in 2016; people didn't take him seriously as an opponent and spent their time mocking him, but he said a bunch of things that people liked hearing.

For better or worse, he can work a crowd and get people on his side just by saying what he wants to say and completely brushing off (or weaponizing) any attack that comes his way.

When people tried to make an issue of the glass of water situation, he went on stage soon after and told a goofy story about it, which ultimately made his critics seem like they were grasping at straws and nitpicking.

I want Biden to win, personally. But I won't be shocked in the least if Trump wins.

It is in reference to Trump speaking more competently than Biden in his public appearances.

I get that Trump is bad and shouldn't be president, but it's important to acknowledge an opponent's actual qualities instead of making up this idea that Trump is somehow losing his mental capacity.

If by that you mean because he expressed 20 different thoughts in the span of a 2 minute conversation. Sure.

He rambles and says a lot of non sequitur shit, but he tends to actually sound like he's speaking English.

I know several people who met their SO while playing WoW, and most of them have been together IRL for over ten years since then.

Trump is silly and says a lot of outright lies, but he can definitely express a thought better than Biden can half the time.

If it's a question of whose mind works faster I think Trump wins it. If it's a question of who's more competent to be president, then it's Biden.

The thing about amiibos is that they're a relatively cheap, high quality option to buy a figure of all kinds of characters that don't have many other figures available.

It's a great gimmick to tie them in with game releases and give in-game perks, but every Amiibo I've bought was just meant to be displayed.
