He can't give Russia Alaska without ratification by the Senate. It was acquired with a formal treaty ratified by the Senate, so it can only be undone with a formal treaty.

I mean, how it became part of the US is irrelevant, really. What matters is that its a sovereign state within the Union.

I picked that example precisely because he's supposed to lose it. DK starts that fight giving None Fucks (TM) and grandstanding, and when he dials it up, it's still at barely the level of 'he's annoyed'. He still gives Mac the fight of his life at that level. We see what DK looks like when fully tryharding in Bananza's home stretch and it's way above that in both how he adapts to complexities and how much he brings to the table. If DK giving few fucks can still make a super technical fighter sweat that hard, why would he not use his full breadth of skill and fighting instincts in a fight to the death?

I would like an official ruling from rwlh that it actually is a fight to the death. This isnt labeled as a Mercs topic, and nothing in the OP states anything about this being a fight to the death or using Mercs rules generally. In previous topics in this series rwlh has been very cagey about the conditions, basically stating that anything not explicitly defined in the OP is open to individual interpretation.

Red isnt going to treat this as a fight to the death, so DK wont either. Without him going all out he gets overwhelmed by Reds team.

People here would say "(County/Counties) Near Oregon" for those areas, which is a lot less confusing.

Also, just for fun (dont take this too seriously) I have to point out that Crescent City is closer to SF than LA is. In fact, Medford, OR is too!

Like c'mon, I'm drawing a line to divide the state into two neatly and people are whining about it not being divided into three or four or six

California would be the 59th largest country in the world by area if it were independent. For something so large and diverse, both geographically and culturally, yes it is pretty silly to just just have two subdivisions.

there's no reason to make a region exclusively for areas of the state with no population

First of all, its not no population. Thats ridiculous. And secondly, yes there is a noticeable difference in population, and thats precisely why you make it a different region.

Especially tourists, when people say NorCal, they mean the Bay Area and maybe Sacramento.

Considering Ulti just called SF SoCal, I dont think we should take tourists too seriously!

Thats the line between Southern California and Central California. Northern California starts above the Nappa Valley.

Dear redrocket,

I have been experiencing a severe toothache in one of my upper molars for a few days. Ive been to a dentist, and the dentist examined my tooth and told me that it looks perfectly fine. He added that this could be an example of what is known as referred pain, wherein the body transfers the feeling of pain from its source to somewhere else. He said that it can often be indicative of a heart issue, and that it may be prudent to get examined for that. I was just wondering, do you think that this is a Target problem?

Sincerely,

Chewed Up in Chattanooga

I mean, were you thinking that it might be a Target problem before you saw my post?

The credit card company has absolutely nothing to do with why that content can't be there.

This isnt true at all. Its a snowball effect. The platforms are enacting policies that are broader than what the credit card companies demand so that they arent put in a position of having to fight them over edge cases. And creators themselves are panicking and removing content that is even further removed from the original demands so that they dont risk losing everything.
