I think the burst one is the best, Ellen isn't really a burst dps but you get so many points during stun and faster burst on Lyacaon is faster stun.

Only caveat is Soukaku because with Nicole or Lucy you can do ult swap cancels for even more points but I don't think that works with her...

There were a few of those to start with (the alternate color construction robots that all had different weakness) and then they stopped doing it entirely, so idk.

The future Deadly Assault lineups leaked and...I am just now realizing how little boss variety exists to sustain this mode. There are 4 Ice-weak bosses, 5 electric-weak bosses (but two are Hans/Greta), 1 (one) Fire-weak boss, and 4 ether-weak bosses that are all secondary weaknesses. Oh, and 4 of them resist Phys. So HEAVILY favoring certain units. Not sure why they did this! Hope you guys like fighting Sacrifice!

Did the polychrome math, realized I have a lot of leeway to get Astra and Evelyn, pulled for Piper cons, and got Koleda on the same pull as M6 Piper.

I was just shit talking Koleda the other day but...sure...I guess? Still would rather have Lycaon but when Lighter is busy on another team I still have Lighter at home.

It's very good but I don't think I'd say better. The party member writing is fanservice done right, but it's hard for me to feel like the story isn't just a paint by numbers rehash of the original.

Between new characters and needing to put actual builds on a bunch of Cryo characters I'm pretty exhausted by the character building atm

Idk I still have over 200 pulls atm and I went to 30ish pity on Miyabi banner for Piper C4...I was debating going further to get Piper C6 and maybe snipe a Miyabi con but that's insane when I can just guarantee Astra and Evelyn right...? But I want it.

But then M0W1 Miyabi just already feels ludicrous, I go into Shiyu with Lighter/Lucy (not even her best team btw) and she 1 cycles the boss ez and without even getting her full 2 charge attack stun combo off so it's really like a half or 2/3rds cycle so it's like. Dear god does she even need more?

I don't know if it's a Pikaclone exactly, but Marill is definitely taking design cues from Pikachu. The zigzag tail is pretty distinctive, this was also back when Pikachu wasn't skinny so their body shapes were more similar than they are today. Their gen 2 sprites have fairly similar poses too, although that could be a coincidence. It feels more like they're trying to invent a new mascot based on the old one rather than clone Pikachu.

Mimikyu is a Pikaclone, the design is explicitly derivative of Pikachu's design and depends on that recognizability to function. Unlike Marill, it cannot exist in a vacuum. It being a clever subversion doesn't change that.

Sure feels that way, with the caveat that he does genuinely seem to scale better with investment than any standard character, with his mindscapes and wengine being much better than standard quality, Qingyi making a huge difference, etc.

Come to think of it, Astra Yao is going to be big for him too, since turning Quick Assists into Chain Attacks means he generates two more sets of orbs??? But basically every team will want her, so.

like ok...explain to me why this team clears basically at the same speed as Haru/Grace/Rina on an electric weak boss, with Haru on a set that does nothing (Thunder Metal), and with Burnice constantly running out of energy

It went very badly! Granted I'm stuck using the complete F2P team with him (Nicole/Anby plus Marcato Desire) but holy moly he just feels really weak even though I feel like I actually have a good handle on his rotation. Miyabi took 50 seconds to clear her side and I ended up getting 4:11 after like... six cycling the boss? Still can't crack more than 1 star against ballet Deadly Assault with that team either. I'm sure he gets better with Rina and *especially* Qingyi but yeesh dude, that was dire.

Nicole (M6) is allegedly better than Rina! Victoria Housekeeping just can't catch a break. But yeah I don't get why he deals no damage. The anomaly team should have an easier rotation because it's just cycling between triggering Anomaly for orbs and doing dashes but it still takes forever. Like are the S-rank wengines a huge difference on him or something? IDK.

I tried looking up guides and shiyu showcases for him but he's real unpopular and the main Harumasa youtuber has him at M2R1. Useless!

FYI for those that haven't maxed out the Pale Wasteland yet: one of the limited time rewards wants you to complete a weekly Field Manual mission that unlocks after you do the three main ones. There's rewards for doing three, so you'd need to unlock that this week to get them all. But only the first two give polychrome, and it's just 60 each, so not a huge deal but heads up.

I've really had nothing to spend energy on besides going back into the relic mines and I'm starting to remember why I stopped playing

I think I just have terminal skill issue with Harumasa. Even with a Shiyu buff tailor-made to him it still takes me 2:30 to clear his side on Shiyu 7 with Grace and Rina.

Good thing Miyabi's side takes 70s.

Nothing in Genshin is made entirely of hallways like Laofu is, which is the reason Laofu is bad.

Boo they changed the monthly Notorious Hunt mat boxes so you have to redeem them on purchase instead of hoarding them in your inventory for new agents/bosses like I've been doing.

Yeah part of why I'm sitting on them is that they add a new A-rank Bangboo almost every patch, so I might as well wait. I pulled Rocketboo for Miyabi/Lighter this patch, got Moccus when he came out, but other than that my launch bangboo crew of Revolver, Plug, Butler have served me fine.

I do wish Gulliver wasn't only for Yanagi, though. That animation is too good.

It triggers on hitting an enemy's weakness so it's completely useless if the enemy is not weak to your Support. In addition, all the A-rank signature wengines for supports are incredible, so there's no reason to use it.

Look, I used to play Neko/Anby/Nicole and it wasn't until I got Caesar that I realized just how bad Anby is in that team. Limited stunners (she counts tbh) are just on a different level.

Your best bet is honestly the Harumasa f2p team (Anby/Nicole) where Anby is better than Koleda assuming the enemy is electric weak anyways. She just has zero buffs besides stunning and no damage. Anby (and Koleda tbh) are just not very good, unfortunately.

But yeah S rank Cunning Hares can't come soon enough, besides Neko the other three would be must-pulls.

What I'm actually seeing happen is people embrace 4pc Hormone Punk as it's much less conditional than the gimmicky element bonuses tied to anomalies, and combat atk buffs are good.

There's also the weird way they've chosen to have characters build crit. Harumasa wants to stop at exactly 75% crit rate. Evelyn apparently also has an issue with overcapping cr if she uses Inferno Metal. So they don't actually want to use those bonuses if they can avoid it.

Oh yeah I forgot with the new PF shared hp mechanic, I'm actually not sure if dot damage is shared or not. I honestly couldn't tell with any consistency, so idk if it's a buff or a nerf for strategies with worse aoe.

Kafka has been good for me in pure fiction, but you have to switch her build to the Herta LC and ERR rope for ult spam. More so if you run Tingyun and Huohuo. But I also have E1 Black Swan, so.

But often times the buffs are pretty tragic which screws you over.

With herta though you probably just want Clara/Yunli

Well yeah because Ruan Mei is busted lol. Her only dot-specific ability is extra weakness break turns really. Robin is also good because she's busted. If Tribbie just incidentally happens to be good in dot teams then whatever. What I really want is a dedicated dot buff support and that would include having a dot for Kafka to detonate while also contributing to Black Swan's arcana stacks. Which excludes the 3 non-dot elements.

Miyabi has huge atk multipliers and a decent amount of dmg% in her kit (and from supports like Lighter and Lycaon) so Atk, Ice damage, Pen% are fairly interchangeable for slot 5. Just go by best substats. My gut says that's the atk disk, though idk if flat pen is better than flat atk. But I like big crit damage number.

Also do you have her sig? If not you should get it before any mindscapes, it is way better than her M1.

Harumasa is extremely annoying to build. Technically his best set is Thunder Metal, which I have a lot of and would be ok with farming more to also get more of the stun set, but it's impossible to maintain shock. Woodpecker 4pc is useless on him. That leaves Hormone Punk, and now I'm kicking myself because I recycled so many of my mid to decent pieces when I was starting out. Back to the mines I guess.

Teambuilding is kinda obnoxious too. Since he wants stun OR anomaly I thought Haru/Rina/Grace would be good but it's super awkward and feels worse than just trying to unload during a stun window. Plus without a stun you are vulnerable during the dash combo and have to dodge a lot. Yanagi and Qingyi are his best partners and I don't have either so it's kind of a struggle. Maybe he has some ok Burnice teams or something.

Gameplay wise he is by far the most complicated character I own (besides maybe Billy) and the payoff doesn't even seem that big! I don't think he's bad, and ofc Miyabi is an unfair comparison to ANY character, but he's just not clicking for me.

Well Ellen's crit ratio is way off, she has too little crit rate so your damage won't be doing as much. I assume you're on a crit damage disk, you'd probably be better served by a rate one with damage substats. 2pc Puffer is also kinda mid without Rina but if they have good substats then it's fine.

Lycaon's skills are also pretty important because they increase the rate he builds stun. You can also refine steam oven with f2p materials the game throws at you, that will juice his ex specials. Stats can be improved but that's marginal.

Soukaku idk just max her core and make sure she has enough attack for her max boost

Juicing Himeko is so nice but I have no other use case for Fugue. Sad!
