On the bright side it definitely doesn't feel impossible that we may get an S rank Anby some day, though Billy is absolutely first in line for that upgrade since the story won't stop dropping constant hints about how "secretly" incredible he actually is. (Doubt even that will happen for a very long time, though)

Is there a reason the battlepass support W-Engine is not considered good? Just no character to use it on yet? Soukaku seems like the obvious choice since she can easily pump Freeze even without any Anomoly stats, but her signature is just too good for her I guess.

It triggers on hitting an enemy's weakness so it's completely useless if the enemy is not weak to your Support. In addition, all the A-rank signature wengines for supports are incredible, so there's no reason to use it.

Another thing I'm realizing.....does ANYBODY want HP or Def main stat on ANY right hand disk drives? Even a limited defense like Caser is still better off throwing Crit on 4 and Physical or Attack on 5, right? Obviously Impact on 6.

I'm sure eventually a unit will release that scales off of one of the other, but right now it just seems like any drive that drops with either of them own just instant trash.

Ben Bigger wants absolutely nothing but Defense due to his kit converting it into attack, bigger shields and bigger counter hits. I went through the trouble of building Ben for the battle tower and he's got CONSIDERABLY more attack than even the likes of Zhu Yuan and Soldier 11 with straight defense discs. That's pretty much the only case though, and anyone else who also wants it or HP will probably need some equally specific aspect of their kit.

LETSGOOOO!!!! Lost the 50/50 for Miyabi's M2 BUT it was Lycaon's M1 and extremely early. Like 77 pulls left early. This is twice this has happened (once for the M1 and now this), so now I get Miyabi's M2 guaranteed in another 80-ish pulls tops.

Managed to pump her base crit before buffs to 78%, crit damage to 104%, base attack to almost 3600. She's so cracked.

Hrm, got Steel Cushion on the regular banner and it's literally only good for Nekomata (and Corin, but I have her W-Engine which is better), so I guess I'm getting her for my 300. Honestly, that works out. Although I'd prefer Koleda or Soldier 11 as characters, functionally I have a better Fire Stun already and we're about to get a Fire Attacker, so Physical Attack is my only gap.

Aww my free standard pulls didnt get me to my S class yet. Im really hoping for Neko

Those will be handy for new Bangboo later on! Also that S class redemption one from the shop is once only so I couldve just bought another Baddieboo over Boopons, but Im sure it will get maxed before long too. Theyre adding A class Bangboo faster than characters :(

Yeah part of why I'm sitting on them is that they add a new A-rank Bangboo almost every patch, so I might as well wait. I pulled Rocketboo for Miyabi/Lighter this patch, got Moccus when he came out, but other than that my launch bangboo crew of Revolver, Plug, Butler have served me fine.

I do wish Gulliver wasn't only for Yanagi, though. That animation is too good.

Oh thank fuck I accidentally bought 4 of the claws which is exactly what I needed to max Nichole.

I've literally maxed out the passive for every other character I intend to level besides Harumasa, anything else would have been a waste.

Oops I think I got the wrong material then, but ah well. I mean RAAAAH compensation now

I think I just have terminal skill issue with Harumasa. Even with a Shiyu buff tailor-made to him it still takes me 2:30 to clear his side on Shiyu 7 with Grace and Rina.

Good thing Miyabi's side takes 70s.

I spent a bunch of resources prepping the man, and when it was DD farming time I realized.....I didn't want to use him lol.

Maybe it's because I've yet to encounter electric weak enemies Yanagi can't deal with.

Harumasa's moveset is indeed really demanding for how not-particularly-broken he is. In theory he should be about on Ellen's level but he's definitely harder to wrap one's mind around.

I just finished building him and plan to throw him at both Shiyu and the ballet fight in Deadly Assault. I'll report back on the results!

Deadly Assault Bringer seems to have only gotten more impossible somehow.

I'm confused as to when I should be using Soukaku's Ult. It really feels like it should only be used...in NON chain-attack teams? If you Ult, but then stun the boss and move to a chain attack, Soukaku has no actual stacks during the chain which means the red buff actually DROPS before Ellen gets her burst window, unless I'm gravely misunderstanding something here.

FYI for those that haven't maxed out the Pale Wasteland yet: one of the limited time rewards wants you to complete a weekly Field Manual mission that unlocks after you do the three main ones. There's rewards for doing three, so you'd need to unlock that this week to get them all. But only the first two give polychrome, and it's just 60 each, so not a huge deal but heads up.

It went very badly! Granted I'm stuck using the complete F2P team with him (Nicole/Anby plus Marcato Desire) but holy moly he just feels really weak even though I feel like I actually have a good handle on his rotation. Miyabi took 50 seconds to clear her side and I ended up getting 4:11 after like... six cycling the boss? Still can't crack more than 1 star against ballet Deadly Assault with that team either. I'm sure he gets better with Rina and *especially* Qingyi but yeesh dude, that was dire.

I still need to take another shot at Deadly Assault. The twins are annoying with trying to kill the clone since theres new patterns to adjust to. Im hoping my Lycaon/Soukaku/Ellen team will just barely manage it because the first fight seems completely hopeless to 3 star if you didnt get Miyabi

Nicole (M6) is allegedly better than Rina! Victoria Housekeeping just can't catch a break. But yeah I don't get why he deals no damage. The anomaly team should have an easier rotation because it's just cycling between triggering Anomaly for orbs and doing dashes but it still takes forever. Like are the S-rank wengines a huge difference on him or something? IDK.

I tried looking up guides and shiyu showcases for him but he's real unpopular and the main Harumasa youtuber has him at M2R1. Useless!

like ok...explain to me why this team clears basically at the same speed as Haru/Grace/Rina on an electric weak boss, with Haru on a set that does nothing (Thunder Metal), and with Burnice constantly running out of energy

It sounds like they added a Standard banner character but made him limited. Could just be that the set or support that makes him shine hasn't hit yet.

Sure feels that way, with the caveat that he does genuinely seem to scale better with investment than any standard character, with his mindscapes and wengine being much better than standard quality, Qingyi making a huge difference, etc.

Come to think of it, Astra Yao is going to be big for him too, since turning Quick Assists into Chain Attacks means he generates two more sets of orbs??? But basically every team will want her, so.

Yeah, I'm using Grace-Rina-Harumasa and it's okay, but it's awkward. Honestly thinking of just switching back to Anton. Makes me really regret not getting Qingyi when she came out, I think she's the key to making him work properly.

Miyabi M2 dropped with 47 left til guarantee! And now I am absolutely spent on dropping any more polychrome. Sitting on single digit mono/poly. Absolutely worth, she's even more of a beast now.

S-Ranked Shiyu defense all the way this week by just throwing Miyabi at my problems. No fire team? Miyabi. No elec team? Miyabi. Then Ellen or Jane squad to fight ice / physical normally. I love how absolutely cracked fox mom is.

I've got 64 tapes saved and I did consider maybe trying to boost Miyabi, but I just got a 7 second complete on the level 50 W-Engine EXP mats course in the HIA Club with her, so I think she's plenty powerful enough for my needs.

Idk I still have over 200 pulls atm and I went to 30ish pity on Miyabi banner for Piper C4...I was debating going further to get Piper C6 and maybe snipe a Miyabi con but that's insane when I can just guarantee Astra and Evelyn right...? But I want it.

But then M0W1 Miyabi just already feels ludicrous, I go into Shiyu with Lighter/Lucy (not even her best team btw) and she 1 cycles the boss ez and without even getting her full 2 charge attack stun combo off so it's really like a half or 2/3rds cycle so it's like. Dear god does she even need more?

Im not too far away from 300 pulls. 15 away at most from a guaranteed on Standard S class. Wasted Dennies getting Harumasa ascended just to get an A rank Slice of Time W-Engine as my last pull. Might be a while before I hit that S class pull since standard film is slowly acquired

Experimenting with DA. I got 20k against the Ballet Dancer initially with the standard Ellen Ice Team, but after over a dozen attempts was never able to recreate it. However, two tries with the ZhuQiNichole team and I managed it, if barely. I think the problem is Soukaku, she's just got too much animation time on field for this time attack mode. Meanwhile, Nichole is almost never present.

Also wanted to see how Koleda felt, so I used Caeser for the Yanagi/Miyabi fight with the corrupted, and replaced her usual slot with Burnice and Jane team with Koleda against Biker.

....For whatever reason I actually got a way higher score against Biker than Corrupted. Like, not close, though both well over 20k. Felt like I played Miyabi's side way better, too? I did use the Anomoly buff for both, though, maybe should have used the Crit buff for Miyabi instead.

Did the polychrome math, realized I have a lot of leeway to get Astra and Evelyn, pulled for Piper cons, and got Koleda on the same pull as M6 Piper.

I was just shit talking Koleda the other day but...sure...I guess? Still would rather have Lycaon but when Lighter is busy on another team I still have Lighter at home.

I did feel this on the non-Miyabi side. Probably wasn't playing optimally but a lot of 2m clears
