It hit his teammate in front of him (who was focused on blocking and not looking at the ball) first, so he had no choice but to try and recover it at that point.

I live in St. Louis, so when the Rams left us to move to Los Angeles in 2016, the Kansas City Chiefs basically became the closest we had to a "home team" by default. So I can't say I've been a fan of them for all that long, but I was at least a fan of them before Patrick Mahomes came around and made them a contender and a popular team to bandwagon on.

That performance was 100% worth the wait! Now here's to the Chiefs bringing SWEET VICTORY in this game!

Basically all of the things people complained about in this topic in regards to the gen 2 games (Dark being special while Ghost was physical, bad availability for some of the new Johto Pokemon, a lot of Pokemon having bad movepools and lacking STAB attacks) this ROM hack fixes, on top of plenty of other fixes and quality of life changes. I can't recommend it enough.

To elaborate/clarify more on the Gundam franchise: There's the main "Universal Century" timeline that starts all the way back with the original Mobile Suit Gundam anime and should be followed in order, and then there are several "Alternate Universe" Gundam anime that aren't connected to the UC timeline at all and can be watched as standalone stories, such as Gundam Wing, G Gundam, Gundam Seed, and the most recent Witch From Mercury. Considering the heavy time investment needed to watch the UC timeline and how old and dated some of it is, I would recommend any franchise newcomers start by picking out one or two of the AU series. Then if you like those enough that you get curious about the UC timeline, you can consider jumping into that later on.

Unless some heinous shit comes out about him this is a really stupid move. He was legit the heart of Impact/TNA and had been rebuilding it from the ground up and is extremely loved by the wrestlers there.

This, and (unless the reason he was fired is more heinous, as you said) both WWE and AEW should try to hire him. He would be a huge asset to either company's business and creative side of things.

Tbh they're seeing the writing on the wall that Xbox is probably gonna get Sega'd as they transition into being a third party mega publisher on Playstation, Nintendo and Steam.

I don't really see a long term future for a dedicated Xbox box. They probably don't either. Which is why they're upset.

I personally disagree. I think there's still enough value and marketability in the "we'll release our games for all the systems but you can get our games much cheaper on Xbox by subscribing to Game Pass" plan that an Xbox console can still exist and do well. Not everyone will be swayed by Sony's exclusives into buying a Playstation at the cost of also paying full price for those mutliplatform games that they could otherwise play much cheaper via Game Pass.

The value of Game Pass will have to be the main selling point going forward, and I think it's a good enough selling point for an Xbox console to survive.

Reigns vs The Rock is a dream match, but who was asleep at the wheel to script Cody to win the RR if the result was going to be changed? You had glass cannon CM Punk or 'Mid card' Jey Uso to choose from.

I've seen some people speculating that CM Punk was supposed to win the Rumble (leading to him choosing Seth Rollins) but his injury forced them to call an audible mid-match, having someone else (Cody) win it and leaving the creative team scrambling to come up with an explanation.

But I do agree. Rock vs. Roman is a dream match any time but this one. If Cody had "finished his story" last year instead of him losing and having Roman hold the title for another year, we wouldn't have a problem right now because that match would still be huge even without the title involved. If they wanted to do Rock vs. Roman at any other major event but specifically this Wrestlemania, we wouldn't have a problem right now because it wouldn't be interfering with Cody's story. But they picked basically the only time where setting up that match is an awful idea.

As someone who doesn't really know shit about modern wrestling/WWE, what exactly was his story and why was finishing it such a big deal? I've been seeing this everywhere but I've got no context.

Cody Rhodes was in WWE a long time ago (like 2008-2016), never won a world title becuase WWE never saw the potential in him, then he was released. His father, hall of famer Dusty Rhodes, and his older brother, Dustin Rhodes (AKA Goldust in WWE) also never won a world title in WWE. Cody went out to wrestle for other promotions like ROH, TNA, and NJPW, and also helped create WWE's current biggest competitor, AEW. All of that raised his popularity enough that WWE wanted him back, and since he came back, he's been on a quest to win the WWE Championship, the title that has eluded the Rhodes family for decades.

He's a super popular babyface (good guy) with the younger viewers and casual WWE fans, but due to the outside-of-WWE stuff I mentioned, he also has the backing and respect of a lot of the hardcore wrestling fans. It's very rare for WWE to have a star that's so organically popular with both of those groups of fans (usually it's one or the other, like John Cena being loved by the younger/casual fans but hardcore fans hating him or someone like AJ Styles having the hardcores behind him but a lot of the casuals not really getting him) and yet, now that they finally have one, they're throwing him aside for a single big money match with a part-time Hollywood Rock and a heel (bad guy) Roman Reigns that's been champion for 3 and a half years and people are sick of seeing him as champion.

In other words, the vast majority of WWE fans, casual and hardcore alike, want to see Cody dethrone Roman for the WWE title and "finish his story", but The Rock swooped in and is threatening to derail that.

For me, you're wrong on both counts.

I respect Cody for betting on himself outside of WWE and helping create AEW, and him using all of that experience to raise his stock enough for WWE to bring him back is great. The booking around his stories sometimes annoys me (whether it's him not being used to his full potential in WWE or him not wanting to turn full heel in AEW) but as a wrestler and as a person, I like Cody and I want him to finish his story like he deserves.

Also, despite The Rock's mediocre movies and this recent WWE power move, I still like him for helping keep the XFL (now the UFL) alive so we have football here in St. Louis. I don't hate him, but I hate what he's doing in this situation and how he's throwing a wrench in a multi-year story right at the end.
