Yeah I've mainly used Qingque and Acheron for all of my SU-needs so far. There's just a lot of silly stuff the player can do in the mode honestly.

Yeah I've used Ratio a lot before--I think his traces are at 10 for talent and 8 for skill and ultimate. I just meant I'd never brought him and Topaz into Simulated Universe.

Tried Elation path in Simulated Universe with the IPC team for the first time, and oh my lord those are not pieces of chalk Ratio uses--those are tactical nuclear missiles.

Was clearing out some old Swarm Disaster stuff I never got around to. I also forgot how silly Preservation path was in this mode, especially now that I have a proper shielder in Aventurine.

Sparkle pushed a lot of supports out I feel like--just being very good in general and just being better Bronya for a lot of (not 100% of) scenarios.

Like I'm kind of sad my Tingyun doesn't see much use anymore, but I just don't often have the space between having to compete directly with Ruan Mei and Sparkle as well as several of my DPS's specifically wanting debuff supports.

My understanding is that Yukong is functional outside of DHIL, but that it's more of a "outclassed by other supports" situation. I've also heard the "difficult to use" thing and I think specifically you lose a lot of value if your team is speed tuned to get the most out of her skill. (Not personal experience...my Yukong is level 40)

That said Tingyun is nearly universal, much easier to use/build, and probably stronger in almost every scenario. I wouldn't pair her with units like Acheron or Topaz that don't get a huge amount of value out of the extra energy, but even there she's probably okay. (Edit: Or at least I wouldn't plan on using Tingyun's ult on those characters is what I mean)

If I'm trying to fall asleep initially then usually yes but it takes longer. If I've woken up in the middle of the night then it's a crapshoot.

Sunset Synthetica definitely the surprise of the day. Really cool song. This is one where I can appreciate obnoxious saxophone. Honestly only complaint is that it ended too soon.

I have definitely stopped watching anime with 1 episode remaining.

For mine you should probably just search scenes with Malos on Youtube or something, which seems like a much more sensible plan than watching let's plays for an 80 hour game for scenes featuring a character not in the main party. Though I guess he is in the prologue a good amount so you could maybe try that also (probably skipping like 20 minutes or so in)

If you go the Let's Play route Malos first shows up around 25:00 of this video and the prologue lasts through the end of episode 2. A lot of the in-between content is sadly sans-Malos though so you could do a bit of skipping.

Metal Gear Solid 3 is so good. Definitely the best moment in the series, maybe unless you want to say it's the last boss fight in MGS3 instead or something.

Disclaimer: I have not played 5, Rising, or Portable Ops. I don't particularly expect the above statement would change if I had.

To be fair in this case I didn't know Naoko Yamada was involved until well after it aired. Will have to at least add it to my plan-to-watch so I don't forget about it again though...

The Colors Within just got a standing ovation today for its debut. I haven't watched a trailer or anything, I just saw that going around.

I did not know this, but this makes me more excited. The trailer looked solid from what I remember though I feel like whatever I saw was a bit ago. I'm mainly going off of the pedigree with this one though.

Looking at the chart for next season and boy is this a struggle. Think I'm mostly going to take a "wait and see what other people say" approach since almost none of this is jumping out at me.

Oshi no Ko Season 2 - Yeah sure. It felt like the community was generally higher on this show than I was, but I'm still relatively excited for this.

Tower of God Season 2 - Maybe? I never watched season 1 but I could do that or just start with season 2. I like the webtoon reasonably well but never got around to watching the anime despite being interested in the adaptation.

ATRI: My Dear Moments - Honestly my gut tells me this will be awful, but it is about robots, is by TROYCA, and has the Bloom Into You director. That has to count for something. Probably won't watch this myself but will be immediately on it if the community says it turns out good.

Cheer for You! - PA Works original anime have the potential to be quite good imo, and since the season is looking so empty I will probably give this a try. The PV also looks promising, though I've said exactly that about other PA Works originals I ended up not liking at all.

Dahlia in Bloom - In a vacuum I'm intrigued by this description, but it also reminds me way too much of Snow White with the Red Hair--a show I found very disappointing. The PV does not do much to change that impression. Odds are I don't watch this, but it's on my radar if nothing else.

The Colors Within - Not a TV series and I have no idea when it will actually release in the US, but this movie was immediately put on my list as soon as it was announced. Have been very excited for this. Naoko Yamada+Kensuke Ushio+Science SARU will do that basically no matter what.

Another Monogatari season; the sequel to the "Final Season" - Yeah sure I'll watch this if it releases in any format accessible in the US that isn't like Blu Ray only or some shit, which I can't say I'm hopeful for. Also didn't we already have a season that was after the "final season"? I have no idea.

This is honestly what got me to stop reading the manga. Like I could get through entire scenes and have no idea what happened (or think the wrong thing happened) because my brain could not interpret the visuals correctly.

Very cool manga outside of this though. Think I made it up to like volume 8 or 9 or something?

Edit: I should say I'm not a very seasoned manga reader. This issue might be way worse for me than for other people.

I mean I guess Fate/ is also kind of reverse isekai though huh. Can't say I've ever thought about it in that context

Re:Creators is great but I wasn't counting that yeah. I think I probably still like Mushoku Tensei more, but it would be the easy #2 pick if not #1.

I had no idea Twelve Kingdoms was available anywhere but would have started it already if I knew. Will probably start it tonight >.>

There's also Escaflowne which I haven't seen though I'm more hesitant on that one.

I only have the show at a high 7/10 so it seems wrong but there's not exactly much competition. I guess Slime is close also but it's probably less consistent.

Even Mushoku Tensei only at an 8/10 but I do consider it a cut above the rest I've seen. Isekai not exactly the most likely genre to drop masterpieces down.

I admit not to watching the newest season of Konosuba, but the show wore out its welcome pretty quickly with me for the first 2 seasons. (I assume that's the one from this season you mean)

I've been liking Reincarnated as a Slime decently also but I think even fans of the show are just in "yeah cool more TenSura I guess" mode right now.

I've got 489 on MAL between watching, completed, on-hold, and dropped, with probably about 2/3 of that being stuff I finished.

Edit: Oh wait you can view it all easily on the profile page: 10 watching, 385 completed, 46 on-hold, 48 dropped. (On-hold and dropped are functionally the same for me)

I don't know much about their library at large, but Adventure Time and Regular Show were always quality shows.

On a related note to this poll, today out of desperation I clicked on one of those "what anime should I watch?" quizzes to see what it would give me. One of the questions was something like "how many anime have you watched", and the options were "0", "2-5", "10 maybe" and "I feed on anime".

It recommended Fairy Tail which there is no chance of me listening to that recommendation.

Yeah MoC 12 was obviously made with Firefly in mind. I maybe should have tried super break, but Acheron still made pretty short work of the second half, and mono quantum was able to scrape by in 5 or 6 cycles on the first half.

I did use super break for some of the other floors though--definitely a strong team.

Meanwhile I just take Fu Xuan to every single floor lol. Of course I'm missing both Huohuo and Luocha so that probably has something to do with it. (And Gepard for that matter, though I'm not sure I'd spend resources to build him even if I did have him)

To be fair I think in this case the show may just be going for a substantively different version of the character, but still.

Edit: Actually I'm also reading the League character got slight lore changes/updates in the time since I've played, so I could be a bit out of the loop also

I think CS3 is probably one of the top games with the fandom as a whole. This board specifically leans a bit more anti-Cold Steel than the fanbase on average though

With regards to Arcane, I heard that people on Twitter were upset because Vi is a cop in the promotional material for season 2, which is funny to me because this was like the first sentence of her character profile when she was released in League 10 years ago.

Great show though. Can't wait for season 2.

Ha, never thought I'd see the day when I used Himeko for more floors of MoC than Jingliu, including on floor 12. A combination of Himeko being pretty good for this week's plus my account reaching a point where my other DPS's are competitive enough that Jingliu's hit to my sustain becomes a real consideration

Kevin and Oliver are both probably top 10 on my list also but Kevin in particular I think doesn't really come into his own until 3rd.

Finally got around to this cour of Mushoku Tensei and it's starting off a lot stronger than I expected. Not sure exactly what it is but it feels a lot closer to the vibes I was getting from season 1. Maybe just that we no longer have the weird plot thread setting up the first cour from this season, but idk. I am definitely here for this happy Rudeus arc regardless.

You never quite know which side of this series you're going to get, but overall it always manages to put out something that keeps me coming back. Episode 3 (15 if counting the first half of the season) easily one of the strongest the series has had.

I still can't help but shake the feeling that there are many songs from Clannad I like more. This one is a nice ambient track but doesn't really grab me too much. Sword of the Surviving Guardian doesn't really jump out at me either, but this sort of melodically-driven song structure is a bit easier for me to get into, and the guitar and trunmpet parts are pretty cool.

I don't like the build-up of Rage Rave too much, but it's pretty cool once it gets going. Soundfont not doing too many favors even then, but it's still solid all-around. Metallic Madness Zone feels like a song I shouldn't like between the metallic synth and the rap vocals, but it's actually very fun. The vocals are probably not the strongest, but they serve a purpose and don't overstay their welcome. The sax part is also great.

Honestly finding EXEC_FLIP_ARPHAGE 12 years ago or whatever on (I think) the long-dead board 8 VGM of the day Youtube channel is probably what got me to start viewing VGM as something more than "cool stuff from games I like". It's also one of the rare instances of "thing I liked 10 years ago" that still hits just as hard today. Fantastic stuff. Pledge of Demon might be a bit too repetitive, but overall is a very intense and satisfying song. Unfortunate that it probably drew my favorite song of the contest.

I suspect you can't get there without a car since it's way on the north end of the city but I thought the Musical Instrument Museum was cool.

Fuuko's arc was probably my favorite part of the first season of Clannad. Really liked the ending. Most of the best parts are in After Story obviously, but yeah.

Glancing through some of my favorite stuff I think probably some character from the Monogatari series is a good answer, but I'm not 100% sure which one. Hachikuji maybe with her arc in Second Season?

To make a dedicated break team really good right now I think you need the Super Break damage which only Harmony Trailblazer can get.

It looks like the only show from the top 25 I haven't seen at all is Vinland Saga, though I've only seen very small amounts percentage-wise of One Piece and Jojo so you could probably throw those in as well.

Only like 2 or 3 of the shows I have seen I'd describe as even below average also so yeah pretty good list.

If anything is surprising to me it's how has Code Geass managed to maintain its popularity through all these years.

Would not have expected Bocchi that high either, I guess. Also a bit surprised at Clannad and Mushoku Tensei, though I did know the latter was quite popular there. (Clannad was popular for sure when I was a regular there from ~2012 to 2017 but I guess I assumed that show would fall off with time also.)

Actually a very good list overall though, imo.
