Allegations aside (and I know that's a big ask...), what they've accomplished under Pep has been truly remarkable. They've continued to maintain drive and motivation game after game, year after year. They've survived injury spells to key players like De Bruyne and Haaland. They've survived losing (or retiring) key players like Aguero, David Silva, Fernandino, Gndoan, Mahrez, etc. (Yes, I know not all those are from this year.) It seems like there's always someone who rose their game to meet any gap, whether that's Foden becoming a top player, Rodri stepping up to score in crucial moments, or even Gvardiol scoring a random brace. Money doesn't magically solve everything; see Man U, Chelsea, and Newcastle. City have built something special. Something that's managed to survive player churn and complacency. Honestly, it's an honor to be a fan of the team. As a Mets, Giants, (and very nominal Rangers and Knicks) fan, I've put up with a lot of shit play and heartache in my multiple decades of fandom. It's bizarre to be a fan of a genuine winner. And so I'm not going to take that for granted or feel bad about it. I imagine that once Pep leaves, the level will drop. So I went back to lower bar back squats and the results weren't great. Once I got around 200 pounds I was feeling the right hip/glute issue again. I also mixed it up a bit on the accessory machine work. Woke up this morning feeling more sore in the glutes and legs than I have in a long while, so maybe there was a certain amount of good.
Today's workout I just had no energy for heavy OHP. Absolutely no chance at 150 because I could barely get 135 up for 1 rep. I wouldn't have even bothered trying heavy again if I wasn't going to be taking next week off. I'm not sure why I expected to not like this. It's metal and Japanese pop vocals, a bit weird to blend together but it works for the most part. You can hear lots of different influence here. The beginning song is more death metal, with the growling vocals. I heard some dubstep in one song.
