It's also going to be a F2P live service game but the idea sounds pretty fun - big open city with a bunch of Taxi drivers trying to get the most money, but players can also choose to play as the police and try to stop them. Kind of like a BR format

It always irrationally pisses me off that this type of content coming from corporations is almost always from someone who is way too overqualified and underpaid, or someone's daughter who was given a nepo job

Sega announced reboots of JSR and Crazy Taxi, which are going to be F2P live service games. They've also been working on a standalone remake of the first game, which hasn't been formally announced yet.

I'm trying to scratch that Animal Crossing itch and I keep hearing how Stardew Valley is the best of the best when it comes to the same cozy experience.

The farming mechanics are way too overwhelming, the town itself isn't that interesting to explore and the NPCs feel like traditional gaming NPCs where they just stand around and do nothing.

I disagree. Only the first game is good, and it's very highly rated.

The third game is the best imo. Really fun level gimmicks and there's a lot of unique apes.

One of the rare series' where each game gets better. I'm playing the PSP remake of the first game right now and it's still pretty good.

As a standalone platform, the Virtual Boy sucked. It still had a handful of great games that look and play significantly better on an emulator project for the 3DS, which fully supports the 3D effect.

This is what I'm talking about. Tony Khan just assumes everybody watching has his exact level of knowledge and interest in wrestling and that's just not the case. When they were building up to the first Forbidden Door PPV they didn't even bother explaining what NJPW was or who the featured wrestlers are.

Early Dynamite felt like a big budget indie show but with a lot of AA moments. Run-ins, crazy backstage segments, chaotic promos.

Now there aren't any angles outside of "wrestler stares down other wrestler" and backstage interviews and segments are boring as shit. I can't even get excited about Okada anymore because he's turned into a lame comedy character.

As an AEW fan since the beginning it's really frustrating how Tony Khan seems to give zero fucks about making entertaining television despite having unlimited funding and access to (arguably) the best wrestling roster any promotion's had over decades.

Like nobody gives a fuck about "dream matches" and it's become resoundingly clear that nobody gives a fuck about the excessive amount of NJPW bullshit. Just give the fans a chaotic spiritual successor to the Attitue Era like when Dynamite began.

The big difference is that early internet "lolrandom" humor was stupid for the sake of being dumb and stupid since there wasn't much of a cultural benchmark preceding it.

Gen Alpha brain rot humor is literally just them blindly imitating and regurgitating memes and words that were already blindly imitated and regurtitated before. I can't necessarily blame them or get mad because it's not their fault. They have significant generalized literacy + media literacy issues and don't have a lot of existing media or fiction to serve as a benchmark for their own tastes in comedy.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is either a grift or parody/satire. The branding is too on-the-nose and if you go to the official site's gallery of bottle labels, a lot of the "memes" and references are what you'd see from a major TV show/movie making fun of how crazy conservatives have gotten. The talking points are all over the place and the cultural references are what you'd expect from Millennials and older Gen Z types which conflict with the "Boomers doing stupid shit" business idea.

James was always pretty clueless and incapable, and the only reason AVGN became big was that he was just one of the first people to go all-in on YouTube and that at that time "dude with a camcorder" was the acceptable standard.

What I never understood was how he dedicated his entire life to filmmaking but never actually bothered to learn anything other than pointing his camcorder at homemade props. He considers himself a filmmaker but it never occurred to him that you need to actually understand it and at least have some semblance of tech literacy.

This is what I was trying to say. Apple Silicon Macs are pretty fucking OP and are great computers on their own but the average Joe doesn't have any reason to drop $1,000+ on a computer that they'll end up barely using outside of web browsing.

My theory is that American baby boomers were raised (brainwashed) into not wanting to mock or question authority, so a lot of their humor tends to be focused on mundane domestic life and/or punching down towards demographics they perceive as beneath them.

I can't wrap my mind around why a regular-ass non-rich person would come to the conclusion that they need a Mac, especially these days. They're just too fucking expensive, even when you take into account their longevity and resale value. And it's not even like they're a status symbol because we're almost 20 years after the era where Apple marketed itself as a trendy, contrarian brand.
