The fact they were creeps played into the plots and jokes better usually. The Munsters was "What if we took every 50s/60s sitcom and changed the family to monsters." They still act and live the same way as regular people, so 99% of the time it didn't matter that Herman was a Frankenstein monster. Snap traps are dangerous for pets/children and actually don't work very well in practice. I've worked in pest control for 10+ years. Snaptraps only work in a pinch for mice that have never encountered them before. Their new-object reflex generally leads them to avoid it as much as possible, and odds are that it will go off before they work up the nerve to try and get the treat. Once a group of mice discover they're unsafe, they're absolutely useless. Glue traps are sad and they're not my first choice, but they're a necessary evil. It's not turn-based, but at the end of the day it's still retains the RPG elements, the in-depth plot, the unique characters, and good writing/storytelling. It still retains the heart and soul of Paper Mario, with a different spin. A place like Vermont with small, isolated populations is going to have far fewer deaths than a large, dense state like Florida regardless of anything. In the same vein, smaller, more unified/homogenous nations like Japan are more likely to follow precautions and have less infections/deaths.
