Because of the ps1 era's ambition in 3d graphics, a lot of games decided to do 3-party members because otherwise they would sacrifice load times to have more party members, hence why games like FF 9 are borderline unplayable due to 8+ second load times every battle transition and stuff like that.

As graphics began to peak, focus on performance was once again restored

I actually like it more. Julianne Moore was great, Channing Tatum was great, Pedro Pascal was great. It had the best blend of so bad it's good quality

It's stupid, but there's a reason that characters are written that way. Audiences are predisposed to assume a character is White unless otherwise stated. At the same time, it's considered impolite to volunteer information regarding character race unless it's relevant to the story.

This presents a problem because there's really no winning option:

* Option 1) you're racist / potentially racist if you say that Dave is Black because his race is not relevant to the story
* Option 2) you're racist / potentially racist for mentioning Dave's lips, nose, and hair because you're calling attention to and exploiting his natural features
* Option 3) you're racist / potentially racist because your story lacked diversity. you told us in the movie adaptation's press release that Dave "was always Black" but it feels like something made up after-the-fact because you never told us until now
It's a blind spot which comes from incompatible standards of what can or should be done.

Agreed. All joking aside, it's really the difference between an author being disingenuous about how they're describing a character and one who's just trying to illustrate to the readers the nature of the character.

Like Scrubs, these NBC classic A+ shows deserve to be owned on DVD, especially for the potential of extra features

It might be the popeyes that closed near me. Worst part is I'd always pass by it whilst driving but never deigned to dine from it, now I missed my chance to see what the hell popeyes even is besides a cartoon from our childhood

What's really annoying that I didn't anticipate is that since Disney bought Fox, they own the movie, and unlike HBO they're being asses and not releasing it digitally so one would have to wait 3/4 months before seeing a movie.

The food coloring that goes into making those shades and colors can't be edible -__-' . I've been skeptical about consuming food coloring for a while now after reading scaremongering reports about their cancerous effects.

I was a little disappointed there wasn't more seth rogen. I don't really like the characters he plays or his movies, but I do like it when he plays himself like in this is the end and thought he'd be perfect for curb's brand of comedy

And I know a lot of people hate Genesis, but I still like him ironically. Plus Angeal was actually a great character as a mentor for Zack, so it made up for the more cringe genesis shortcomings

I think this is a contributing factor to why Chrono Cross feels like such a dud compared to the original. Instead of focusing on a few party members they give us 10 times as many with a twentieth of the personality or story.

Yeah exactly. And gameplay wise, it's annoying because instead of 4 party members you can only have 3 at a time, and really virtually just 1 due to reasons, so it's 40 useless party members with barely any personality.

After finally playing Chrono Cross, it boggled my mind how it got a 10 from sites like gamespot 20 years ago

It is a deconstruction of genre's, more or less.

The power fantasy of "getting the girl" and being in awesome mecha is very common in anime. The reality of that life... the constant fear of death, literally having the fate of the world on your shoulders combined with the awkward teenage phase? Of course you're gonna be fucked up.

World building, like the plot itself, is good when it's presented well, not when it's just there.

Otherwise no matter how much effort is spent on it or how cool they insist it is, it simply does not matter if it's not delivered well to the viewer and player.

Yeah, I dont get the hype. But I cant deny the production value is fantastic and it probably has the best music in the MCU.

What is the deal with theme being this good. I just heard it in another video and got immediately hyped. It's the best soundtrack of the MCU for spookiness

Love those limits, didn't even mind that they're unskippable.

I'm one of the few people that actually likes the game and gameplay, the whole random factor kind of worked for me. I'm not saying I want more games like that, but Crisis Core just worked.

It was also the perfect handheld game and probably the best PSP-only game because of the mission based structure which is clearly designed for on the go short bursts of gameplay.

Couple that with fantastic voice acting, story, and graphics, and you have the only great game in the whole compilation of FF 7 universe that Square was pushing

It's funny, I actually like the action rpg battle system of this and the even better Kingdom Hearts 1/2, yet I tried playing that meh remake of FF7 and I didn't like the combat at all.

Oh you probably mean only US netflix... not a problem, I have the DVDs and can pop them in home movie style right now!
