Monkey with typewriter is used to explain things happening on Earth since we know life was on Earth. Never seen someone use it to try and say that means other Earths 100% out there. Not mention it is not like every star system is like ours.
For your monkey typewriter comparison to work, you are assuming the same environment each time. That is, every typewriter has a monkey. But that is not true for the universe. It would be giving many of them broken typewriters or objects that cannot be used to write and some typewriters no monkeys.

That is to say, every monkey with typewriter is assumed to have the chance to create hamlet.
Not every planet actually has the chance to even attempt life. Or at least in terms of how we understand life coming into existence.

The beautiful chemistry of plants and animals having their symbiotic relation is something that gives on pause.
Animals eat plants, but they also spread their seeds and convert the oxygen to cabron dioxide.

A world where only plants had existed would be one where all plants died. Same for animals.
This is important because it is supposed to be a random chance that either would exist.

Ok I'm going to explain this as simply as possible, because as many times as I explain this, it misses CE/Reddit/Twitter etc. When they are encouraging "stealing from the rich".

The way things work for rich folks: they don't sell more of their boats because people are shoplifting.

They stop giving bonuses and cut the wages off of people that are lower on the totem pole.

Even if you were to steal directly from their houses, well they are covered by insurance, and when insurance has to pay out on claims, they go up on their premiums for everyone, rich or poor.

So shoplifting or looting your local target and Walmart because they are insured is not actually a virtuous thing to do, believe it or not, because rich people are not going to foot the bill. That is a fantasy. They always figure out a way to pass it on to the common man.

So you are saying the rich steal from their employees when someone steal from their business??

Chipotle has 26% profit increase

raised prices 4%

https://www.barrons.com/articles/things-to-know-today-51644401867

The fast-food chain had a better-than-expected fourth quarter after price increases were the order of the day. The company hiked menu prices by 4% in December, citing commodity inflation elevating beef and freight costs, and, to a lesser extent, avocado. That helped it serve up same-store sales growth of 15.2% in the quarter.

The full benefit of that price rise will be felt in the current quarter, but it highlights Chipotles ability to pass cost increases on to consumers. CEO Brian Niccol said the restaurants prices were around 10% higher than a year ago, adding that further increases could come if elevated costs dont abate. Weve got a lot of pricing power, he told analysts.

Price stickiness is a concept you learn in high school Economics: https://www.investopedia.com/terms/p/price_stickiness.asp
Basically, in some markets costs go up, prices go up more. Costs go down, prices stay the same (sticky-up). McDonald's is usually very reluctant to raise prices, but when given an excuse ("Hey, there's inflation, sorry, not out fault,") they take it. Higher prices means higher margins. Later, prices of shipping and meat go down, but McD's customers are already used to new prices and no one else is competing for bottom-dollar burgers, so even better margins and more room to expand.

Also, the McDonald's app is pretty sick. It saves like 20% on every order.

Have you heard of wage stickiness as well?
Companies are arguing wages increase inflation and they are reluctant to give them. hahahaha

Comparable restaurant sales increased 1.8%
Digital sales grew 174.1% and accounted for 46.2% of sales
Restaurant level operating margin was 17.4%, a decrease of 310 bps
Diluted earnings per share was $12.52, which included an income tax benefit of $3.79, partially offset by a $2.00 after-tax impact from expenses related to legal, corporate restructuring, restaurant closure costs, and certain other costs, a 1.1% increase from $12.38. Adjusted diluted earnings per share excluding these charges and the income tax benefit was $10.73, a 23.6% decrease from $14.05.1

What am I incorrect about exactly? As I said, US median 1988 housing cost was $210k adjusted for inflation. At the time it was about $85-90k without so I dont know where youre pulling 20-30k.

Here is where I pulled the data: https://dqydj.com/historical-home-prices/

I agree that the cost of housing has gone up. But its closer to double than 11 times. I still think housing being twice as more expensive now is still a very significant increase. The market demands a two income household so a single parent buying a house is extremely difficult today.

$30k was from the area I am familiar with as that it was homes had cost at the time. Maybe not the fanciest, but great for new families.

I thought you were comparing just in the Bay Area so that is why I was saying in other places you could find $30k houses.

In any case, here is breakdown by state:

https://www.cnbc.com/2017/06/27/how-much-housing-prices-have-increased-since-1940-in-every-state.html

But now I know where you are coming from. The average itself just went up $100k.

I guess it would then be important to see how wages have paced with this.
