I got lucky. They removed the case from the jury docket. Stand since I. Already missed half the work day and put in the time off request, I guess I have a free day off. That said, I think I was right about how quick the summons arrived. Last time I form it super early. Like a couple weeks, at least. But IIRC, it was definitely a whole before it was suppose to take place. This one, I got last Friday. So, 4 days ago. And when I called today to see if I had to go, at the end, they said that all requests for exemptions and disqualifications had to be addressed in writing at least 7 days prior. And that would be hard to do if you didnt get the summons until 4 days prior

Yep , I put a cold bottle of pop in the freezer an hour before dinner , so it's very cold with little ice crystals in it.

I sometimes do this. Where some time before I eat, I pop it in the freezer...

I'm sorry to hear that. And I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned it, but if you're still trying to have a baby, the best time to try again is probably now (assuming test come back clear)... I know after a miscarriage, it's best to try again within 6 months. I read a little on stillbirths, and there is no added risk to having one soon after, from what I can tell. Again, I'm sorry to hear about this. And if you do try again, good luck.

Everything either comes in big portions or recipes yield 8 or so portions.

And things like Salad is completely out of the question since I think those bagged salads are gross and making my own will have me eating salad for the next 6 meals.

Things like Chicken? most of of the time my store I go to the smallest package is like 8 thighs and left over chicken isn't the best IMO.

The only real problem is the ingredients, as many recipes can be changed based on the amount to feed. But some stores will seek smaller amount of certain things. Just gotta find those stores

But I was around this age group often as my mom owned and operated a home care, while my grandma has been babysitting for even longer. And like Mead and Jen were saying, a lot of young children are smarter and more aware than you realize. And you are vastly underestimating what children can understand. By a lot. Eve the article I found talked about kids understand he basics of a relationship at 2-3. Which is younger than 6. And the basics would be stuff like understand that but every family is the same. You can stop talking if you want. Doesnt change the fact that you are incorrect about kids understanding different things. Some will pick it up easier than others. Doesnt mean the others cant pick it up

It's really the business of parents to decide the morals they want to instill in their kids and I can't see anybody who disagrees not having a really shitty reaction to it and causing disruption.

I trust that a child that's aware of gay couples and doesn't observe anything different with gay and straight couples will not apply a moral judgement anyway, but the school and parent being in direct conflict sounds like a recipe for devolution of trust all round.

The concept of 'straight' eludes them, never-mind 'LGBT'. Edit: And I don't even understand why this is an issue. Because the purpose of my original post was to point out that a middle ground is rapidly shrinking if it even still exists and you're effectively put in a position where you have to agree with an extreme instead of a more moderate/central position. Not if LGBT should or shouldn't be taught in schools or not. That was just an example I picked where the positions were getting vastly divided.

Between the ages of 2 and 3, kids start understanding relationships. And they know that mommy and daddy love each other. So, at 6, its fine if they learn that some families are different. And that some people are different. Its better to try to normalize this stuff while theyre young

And because the concept of straight eludes them, thats why its the perfect time to teach them that people can love whoever, regardless of gender

Many people say they truly care and believe, but wont do anything about it. Why? Because maybe they dont think they have any power, or cant do anything about it. Or they think all they need to do is vote a person who cares about it, and will do something. That said, even in that case, if that worked, it would mean someone in power did something about it. And the in my thing the individual did was help to give power to that person. Which depending on what that persons stance was, many may not have voted them because of that reason
